As long as I can read it, I couldn't give a flying FU--
that being said, just make the dot a dot. It doesn't need to be a circle. Other than that, 9/10 writing. Clearly legible.
From personal experience, around 6/10 guys writing can only be read if they're writing at like 15 words per minute to really make sure they're being as neat as possible. It seems to me that girls with bad hand writing are relatively uncommon. I'm not voicing my opinion, just giving a possible explanation to your rhetorical question.
Why do you think women or girls are more likely to write this way? You should see my handwriting. In contrast you should see my sister's ex's handwriting. Dude's natural handwriting looked like caligraphy I swear lol
It is clearly legible. It is written in a way that is eay to read.
Boys get away with a shoddy, illegible handwriting these days, and girls are expected to be more socially aware up to and including keeping their handwriting understandable.
It used to be that everyone was taught good writing habits. A long time ago.
This writing isn't "girly" in any other way than how girls are more picked on if they don't write in a clearly legible way.
I absolutely love it when men write in ways that shows they want to be understood by the reader.
I remember someone in high school telling me I write like the opposite gender. Everyone I recount the story to thinks it's absurd to gender handwriting. I'm sorry your fiancé had to deal with that garbage from grown people. But it did start me on the path to amateur calligraphy which I enjoy immensely.
That writing is cute when a 10 year old girl does it, but outside that and Disney, it's cringe.
Sadly, a grown woman I work with writes like that. Takes her a lot of time and space to write things, and it's very hard to take what she writes seriously. I keep reading it in Mickey's voice...
It’s the circles over the “i”s. There’s no problem with having gendered things in life, like having feminine handwriting, but there’s no need for being nasty to your fiancé about it or even bringing it up at all. Some people are just mean. All “proper” handwriting by men and women 200 years ago looked what we would now consider feminine. Also “gendered” is misspelled.
I think he has neater than average handwriting. I also think it's ridiculous to give a damn what trolls say. You could literally be perfect and trolls would still troll.
My biggest concern is not that everything is gendered, but defying those norms is usually met with hostility by people who benefit from the system. That being said, how long have the "dots" for your 'i's been the size of dinner plates? Has it caused you trouble on timed, essay exams??

Good question! Remember… The trolls are there to remind you that you CAN rise above and continue to better yourself. Use them as encouragement. His handwriting is sweet. It would look cool as a custom font even, IMHO.
People are gonna think whatever, the best you can do is be amused or ask why until their assumptions self-destruct. Can I ask, though, what about it bothers you/him so much?
I consider this a backhanded "compliment": Congratulations, you know how to hold a pen properly! I never understood the idea that a man's handwriting needs to look like he used his foot and a pebble.
It's legible. That's the important part. The loops, curls, and swirls in writing have no preference whether they match up with another loop, curl, or swirl so long as it forms words.
The big dots on the I are annoying and give his handwriting a slightly childlike appearance.
Calling him gay and feminine for it is stupid. He can write however he wants.
Writing is writing. Your fiancé needs to delete and block those people. The internet is a nasty place at times and allowing trolls to influence your life is going to make it extra painful.
Wouldn't call him gay, but if I saw the handwriting with no context I would have assumed a teenaged girl wrote it. So I guess I'm doing slightly worse by also assigning an age lol. If a man suddenly told me he wrote it I would probably hold back an embarrassed giggle and then move on with my life.
I can only remember in high school it was girls who used bowling balls for the dots on the i. That being said, who gives a fuck? Those people are assholes. Fiancé writes how they write. It’s not a big deal. Im sorry they went through that.
I do think it looks 'feminine' in the sense that it's how I've seen lots of women write, but really, it doesn't matter.
My handwriting is horrendous and I've been banging my head against a brick wall procrastinating learning a particular script to learn to remedy the situation.
At least it's legible and, honestly, who cares what it looks like so long as the intended recipient can read it. That's a luxury many don't extend to others, consciously or otherwise.
If it helps him feel any better, I’m a gay man and my writing is sloppy as fuck, so having ~~meat~~ neat handwriting isn’t really an indication of anything. Some people just love to be dicks and make stupid assumptions.
Edit: I don’t have meaty handwriting.
At least we can read his handwriting. Usually men struggle to even write their own names legibly. Hell, I knew like 3-4 guys in high school who either couldn’t read their own handwriting, or the they could read it but the teacher and anyone else couldn’t. So I’m proud of your partner FOR you really.
I love that handwriting, it’s so unique and full of personality. The only criticism I have is that gendered is spelt wrong. I adore the big circles to top off the i 🥰
have you seen my handwriting haha. Never got called gay or feminine for it in person its 90% "thats a nice handwriting for a man". Its unexpected and very intentional i guess which people might assosicate more feminine people with. anyhow if he likes it he shouldnt care what others think
I mean, if I had to guess who wrote it, I would guess it was a female. But I would not assume that meant your fiancé was gay or feminine knowing he wrote it.

this comment section is toxic af, who tf cares of their handwriting is feminine???
As a gay person, I wish my handwriting were as nice as your fiance's.
Looks like an elementary school-aged girl trying really hard to have nice handwriting. Typos and all, haha
From how rounded that everything is to the circle dots… the only people I’ve ever seen write anything like this have been female for sure.
Imo his writing looks like a child's, like he's unable to write any smaller or more fluidly.
Imagine not learning about other languages other than English
As long as I can read it, I couldn't give a flying FU-- that being said, just make the dot a dot. It doesn't need to be a circle. Other than that, 9/10 writing. Clearly legible.

I made only one nitpick in a comment completely complimenting the guy. If anyone is full of themselves, it's you.

I think you mean they paid him a compliment
How the fuck does handwriting have a gender 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️

But gays have better handwriting (i am joking obv)
As a gay I can say that we do not
SAME
Yea I dunno, I’m not gonna shame him. It’s readable but it was definitely written by my high school girlfriend.
Who tf dots their i with a circle? Is he five?
Or a girl?
Is there a reason you’re cyber bullying another person as a grown ass adult?
Downvoted for having empathy lol Gotta love reddit
Downvoted for calling every rude comment bullying which imo belittles the struggles of actual bullying victims
Hi, bullying victim here, I can say, we do not give a shit 💀💀
Hi, also a bullying victim and I fucking hate it. Is it so hard not to use the objectively incorrect words?
I didn’t know writing had a gender or could reveal your sexuality. That’s wild. Looks like Disney font to me which is dope
Yup totally girly 😆
it's girly, nothing wrong with it but it's still girly
Why do you think women or girls are more likely to write this way? You should see my handwriting. In contrast you should see my sister's ex's handwriting. Dude's natural handwriting looked like caligraphy I swear lol

Classic Liberal reddit downvoting a dude for basic feminist positions lol. I fucking hate liberals (I'm a leftist not a conservative)
it looks like how my female classmates back in elementary school would write, therefore it looks girly. i was not talking about legibility
I remember someone in high school telling me I write like the opposite gender. Everyone I recount the story to thinks it's absurd to gender handwriting. I'm sorry your fiancé had to deal with that garbage from grown people. But it did start me on the path to amateur calligraphy which I enjoy immensely.
I think it’s perfect and unique just like him 🫶🏻🌈
That writing is cute when a 10 year old girl does it, but outside that and Disney, it's cringe. Sadly, a grown woman I work with writes like that. Takes her a lot of time and space to write things, and it's very hard to take what she writes seriously. I keep reading it in Mickey's voice...
I burst out laughing on that one.
It’s the circles over the “i”s. You forgot the question mark to complete your sentence.
Definitely gay.
[удалено]
No, my doesn’t write as gay as the OP.
[удалено]
I got it… I just unsuccessfully to counter.
Looks to me like it was written by a beautiful human being with excellent handwriting
It’s wonderfully readable. Who attaches gender to handwriting? That’s weird. I honestly wish I wrote so clearly.
I'm more concerned with the misspelling of 'gendered'
It reminds me of the Disney font.
The circles over the “i” are a dead giveaway.
My biggest concern is not that everything is gendered, but defying those norms is usually met with hostility by people who benefit from the system. That being said, how long have the "dots" for your 'i's been the size of dinner plates? Has it caused you trouble on timed, essay exams??
I would kill for a proper handwriting.
Yes because the masculine way of saying it would be "Why the fuck is everything fucking gendered "
"Genderd"
Erhmagehred it’s genderd
He is right. Why is everything gendered? 🙄

But why give the i’s such big balls
The circles on the i’s need to be hearts - that would masculine it up.
Yeah was gonna say, if he just dotted the eyes this wouldn’t look feminine anymore
Chicanerous and deplorable.
Mischevious and deceitful!
Dude how old are you? Don’t worry about critics
Good question! Remember… The trolls are there to remind you that you CAN rise above and continue to better yourself. Use them as encouragement. His handwriting is sweet. It would look cool as a custom font even, IMHO.
Try speaking French then complain
I don’t think it looks gay, but the misspelling of gendered deeply offends me.
IKR. I am in shock that OP didn't notice the wrong spelling.
I think your fiance's sentiment as written here is correct.
Big fan of the huge balls on the i's.
I think stereotypes are dumb and lazy, and everyone is way too dumb and lazy. Also, handwriting is great.
Uhhh. It is feminine. Nothing wrong with that but yeah, it does look like a woman’s handwriting.
The “i”’s are pretty gay though lol. You gotta admit 🤣
Why do you care what idiots think?
Bro I'm a dude and I want that type of handwriting, I even showed this to my friends and they said that they would want this handwriting.
It is really nice and legible handwriting 10/10
Meh I think it’s the i’s but to make fun of someone for their handwriting is wildly insecure.
Why on earth would a 7 year old be engaged?
It looks like it took him a full minute to write this. And he left out a letter. No way an adult with a developed brain actually writes like this.
Looks like a girl’s handwriting but to make fun of someone for it? That’s dumb.
Fellas, is it gay to have handwriting that can be read without having a degree in graphology?
Are they really that stupid and bored.
That's the manliest handwriting I've ever seen
I wish my handwriting was gay, instead it's just illegible.
It’s better than the usual monkey writing, but since when did handwriting have a freaking gender????? Geez, what next???
Yep, definitely a girls hand writing, and that’s okay!
People are gonna think whatever, the best you can do is be amused or ask why until their assumptions self-destruct. Can I ask, though, what about it bothers you/him so much?
TF? Handwriting is even gendered now? 🤨
Tell them he’s training to be a Disney writer. That handwriting is amazing
Writing isn’t gay-that’s dumb. But if I saw this I’d assume the writer was a girl.
One of my best friends has such an amazing cursive handwriting kids called him gay for "writing like a girl"... Jokes on them because hes bi lol
Why do you care? It’s not that big of a deal how anyone writes. It’s not “gay” or “feminine” to write a certain way
it’s legible that is what important
Who cares man, write how you want to. Fuck them
gendered*
Gendterd*
I agree he is flamboyant. It’s too fancy .
I hate gender this is why I’m nb! :)
I wouldn't call it gay, but it certainly looks like it was written by a 12 year old girl with a princess complex.
so bubbly
The big dots on the I are annoying and give his handwriting a slightly childlike appearance. Calling him gay and feminine for it is stupid. He can write however he wants.
Writing is writing. Your fiancé needs to delete and block those people. The internet is a nasty place at times and allowing trolls to influence your life is going to make it extra painful.
It’s “girly” sure but thinking someone is gay over handwriting is silly.
Wouldn't call him gay, but if I saw the handwriting with no context I would have assumed a teenaged girl wrote it. So I guess I'm doing slightly worse by also assigning an age lol. If a man suddenly told me he wrote it I would probably hold back an embarrassed giggle and then move on with my life.
very cute! don't let the bastards grind you down
I can only remember in high school it was girls who used bowling balls for the dots on the i. That being said, who gives a fuck? Those people are assholes. Fiancé writes how they write. It’s not a big deal. Im sorry they went through that.
That's crazy people think your fiancé is gay because of how he writes I love his handwritting

This seems to be Disney-esk

>having meat handwriting Not sure if typo or freudian slip, but it's on topic and I'm here for it!
Can you tell us more about this "meat handwriting?"
Fixed it lol
At least we can read his handwriting. Usually men struggle to even write their own names legibly. Hell, I knew like 3-4 guys in high school who either couldn’t read their own handwriting, or the they could read it but the teacher and anyone else couldn’t. I love that handwriting, it’s so unique and full of personality. The only criticism I have is that gendered is spelt wrong. I adore the big circles to top off the i 🥰
I mean I can see how now that you mention it, but would never have thought so by the handwriting itself
That’s wild, it does have characteristics I’ve seen in girls handwriting but it’s messier like a guys would be. Very interesting
Sounds like the Friends who would have a gay son, disgusting...those arent Friends.
Oh man his hand writing is so fuckin manly
He’s so manly he can get away with girly dots
Hope that helps
I think the reason they may think that is bc of how he dots the i’s, I’ve only ever seen my female classmates do that - in primary/elementary school
Come on
have you seen my handwriting haha. Never got called gay or feminine for it in person its 90% "thats a nice handwriting for a man". Its unexpected and very intentional i guess which people might assosicate more feminine people with. anyhow if he likes it he shouldnt care what others think
Did not see the sun name at first, thought they were taking about Spanish or something.
Not sure abt the gender but for sure from someone under 18yo
Oh... here we go...
His handwriting isn't particularly pretty. I wouldn't almost guarantee it's because he dots his I's with circles like a child.
It is, but what does it matter.
I use this kind of crap to filter out the assholes from my life.
I think he ought not worry about his particularly girly font, and instead direct his focus to spelling correctly. *Gendered*
I think it’s a compliment to be called gay or feminine.
No offence, but this handwriting looks kind of feminine. Especially the dots above the i's are not helping with it.
Just ignore them. It's not worth it, and they definitely don't deserve your energy
If anything it looks kind of childish
It’s because of the cute little circles atop the dotted letters. That’s a grade 6 girl sort of thing. Not criticizing, just saying.
As a former year 6 teacher I can confirm.
I mean, if I had to guess who wrote it, I would guess it was a female. But I would not assume that meant your fiancé was gay or feminine knowing he wrote it.
Thx! I mean a pretty handwriting doesn’t makes you gay or something.
They are just jealous that their handwriting is illegible while his is so beautiful!
I know I'm jealous.
Agree.
