I have a theory about Angel. Do you think he sexually harasses the hotel’s staff because that’s his way of lashing out? Val puts him through *a lot*, and he likely lost himself in his porn star persona.
I don't think it's even harassment, even if some people might not like it. I think he's just being hypersexual as part of his mask and to have some level of control. In the logic: "if I chose it, if I'm actually hyperresexual, it's ok!" I don't think he "lost himself" in the porn start persona, he uses it s a shield.
Also his flirting probably does work on a lot of people, and it's a way to smooth out some social interactions.
Also note how when he realizes this REALLY does not charm Husk, because Hush values being genuine, he drops it EVEN if that requires vulnerability, which makes him different from Val.

He took them to a BDSM sex club, knowing full well none of them would be into it, and he showed them his porn, also knowing that none of them wanted to see that.
Sure, he has a psychological reason for it, but that doesn't change what he's doing.
He seems to more or less stop it after that music number with Husk. It's part of his growth. The whole point of the show is redemption. It's OK to admit our favorite characters do things that are bad; that's why they're seeking redemption. If Angel started the series as already being a good person, there would've been no point to him being in the show.
Eeeh, it's a fine line. I have several friends who are, eh, overtly sexual....an it really depends on how both parties here experience it, which we do not have much info on here. (I only mention because with one friend specifically, people have assumed there was boundary-crossing behavior while there was not). Hindsight, that's pretty good writing to narrow-band most of it to Husk.
I'd argue with Husk there was possibly already genuine interest, or at least a clumsy attempt to connect. But it seems that with male characters, flaunting his sexuality is the only way he knows to try to get their interest, because he's used to only get attention from men if they want sex.
I think you're right about it being boundary-crossing with Husk, but I'd also argue that it happened because of Angel wrongly estimating Husk's character (as Husk did with him, but in other ways).

I think it started consensual and then it spiraled until Angel signed the contract. Valentino said that he signed willingfully, so maybe he didn't know what he was agreeding to, he though it was a good idea or he was desperate for something. But yeah, at this point, it CAN'T be consensual and Angel clearly is afraid of him.

I get what you're asking. The post credits of Addict I think is pretty clear based on expression, but the part of Poison where Angel leaps into Val's arms and then we see them having sex away from what looks like the set confused me for a bit - was it happening during the song chronologically, what is a flashback to less abusive times, etc. But none of those questions actually affect the fact that it is SA. Given the entire context of his contract and being intimidated and coerced, Angel can't actually say no or consent to any sexual activity within the studio, so any activity he engages in is SA.

There's also a quick moment where val grabs for angels chest and he tries covering himself with his robe. It was just a few frames, but watching angels reflex to cover himself when val was raging at him was extra rough.

Comments like this make me worry for the intelligence of the general population. If you want to get technical, it was BDSM, but it was also made EXTREMELY clear Angel wasn't enjoying it and didn't want to be there. Seriously appalls me that anyone could have missed that. He very obviously only participated because he had no choice.

I think it started consensual and then it spiraled until Angel signed the contract. Valentino said that he signed willingfully, so maybe he didn't know what he was agreeding to, he though it was a good idea or he was desperate for something. But yeah, at this point, it CAN'T be consensual and Angel clearly is afraid of him.

It's not about that particular time, It's pretty clear Angel doesn't want to have sex with Val in general (for instance that scene in the limo where he has to FORCE Angel's face into his)
I get what you're asking. The post credits of Addict I think is pretty clear based on expression, but the part of Poison where Angel leaps into Val's arms and then we see them having sex away from what looks like the set confused me for a bit - was it happening during the song chronologically, what is a flashback to less abusive times, etc. But none of those questions actually affect the fact that it is SA. Given the entire context of his contract and being intimidated and coerced, Angel can't actually say no or consent to any sexual activity within the studio, so any activity he engages in is SA.

I think that assumption makes a ton of sense. I hope they expand on the Love Potion stuff they planted in season 1 next season and we see that whole fucked up operation go down. Poor Angel, he's had every bit of agency taken from him the second he steps into that place.
Fuck Val. Even the other Vees only tolerate him at most it seems. With them being set up as either the main antagonists or the secondaries for season 2 I would love to see Val get the axe, hopefully by Angel Dust but I would also be very, very okay with Husk putting an end to him.
I could see Husk giving up his chance at redemption by offing Val, just so Angel had a chance.

Agreed, the other villains are mostly eccentric or mysterious, while Val’s villainy is realistic. It's great that they didn't try to downplay him. They truly showed how abominable he is. Hence why he's an unlikeable sack of shit, lol

There's also a quick moment where val grabs for angels chest and he tries covering himself with his robe. It was just a few frames, but watching angels reflex to cover himself when val was raging at him was extra rough.
