Orbital precision will kill buildings that only the 500 can hurt. (Rogue research for example). Run the precision with stun nades, and you can do some work with it.
Id it more effective than a 500? Maybe, maybe not. I personally dislike having two Eagle strats. So I'll take the precision over the 500 with the normal air strike, or I'd bring the 500 over the precision and run the Air Burst for example.
See, I love having multiple eagles, because it gives you license to waste stratagems on the most trivial nonsense. I see two or three enemies back to back, and have but one 500kg to spare? Time to blast them to hell, at zero cost since I needed to rearm the eagle anyway. It does roughly what the orbital precision does, only faster, over a larger area, with more charges, and on only a slightly longer cooldown. Sure you end up naked when the eagle is rearming, but with a rearm time of a mere two minutes, the pain is very well worth the gain.
Agreed. I usually run multiple eagles and try to coordinate my rearm for when we are between objectives. Plus usually one teammate has some strats to cover the gap.
I've been running an all eagle setup since the eruptor came out. Airstrike, 500kg, rocket pods, smoke. Works well until you come up against anti-air emplacements, then you just blast them with the eruptor.
Yeah. Not sure if straight to the Head (but i think so) other than that the heatvents can get destroyed by a lot.
I mean eruptor can destroy fabricators so why it shouldnt destroy AA
I go for 4 Eagles and Yeet Armor. Usually 500, Gunpods or Smoke (depends on my friends available Supports), Strafe and Airsrike. It takes me about six minutes to waste all the Eagles. That's also the same time my team's support weapons become available again, and I ask for a set. Now I can pinch hit support role and still be the guy who calls the thunder in on bases in less time an Orbital main can recharge. It's quite powerful if you go hard.
Strafe is pretty clutch. Not only is a faster reaction than Walking Barrage but you can clean out a pile of Devastators, AT-RTs or medium bugs walking at you in a second. Plus you can thread the needle with Strafe on your friends. I've had passes clear a path out of the swarm many times.
I stopped using the 500 entirely. Its been massively inconsistent for me and I've had it drop directly on enemies, explode, and they walk out completely unharmed. It's ok for buildings but the blast radius is smaller than the detonation leads you to believe
I'll precision strike over that anyday.
honestly....i tried using the 110m and floored that it works exactly how I want it to...as soon as I get the 3rd eagle strike charge, this thing is an absolute awesome thing to have
I feel like the 110mm rockets are streaky. Sometimes they will one shot anything and everything, and can even get multikills. Other runs they seem to miss their target every time, or do negligible damage when they hit. Being able to use them multiple times per rearm, with low cooldown, is really nice though.
In my experience the rockets are bad at hitting bile titans and hulks. But it definitely puts in work on everything else, I've never seen them not one shot a tank, and has a low enough CD that if it does miss, you can try again in a few seconds.
I suspect their accuracy has something to do with what angle she comes in at in comparison to what direction the target is moving, but I'm too lazy to science it, she just seems to miss with the rocket pods a lot more when the target is moving directly toward me, but nails them if they are moving to the left or right from my view.
Yeahh I find it especially good on bug runs. I keep it in my back pocket for titans or if we’re overrun by chargers.
I get the cool down being long, but running that and EAT, I pretty much never worry about heavies.
Will swap it out for laser on bot runs.
I prefer orbital laser for fuck this area in particular. Quaser cannon takes care of chargers in 1 hit and titans in 2-3. Both can easily be kited as well.
I tend to ration it out to 1 orbital laser per main objective point. Most times I evac and I still have 1 extra charge left or I use my last one at evac since it wasn't needed.
Orbital Laser is a must have for bots, at least for me. You can just chuck that baby inside a large base, kill everything, and wipe out 3-4 fabricators. I just run Eagle Airstrike/rocket pods alongside it for the quick cd to hit everything else.
Bile/Nursing Spewers have *definitely* jumped up the rankings of "I really hate these things" ever since the DoT effects were changed for fire and acid.
Been running Eruptor with Arc gun + jetpack + precision strike and it feels really solid. Arc covers the weakness of eruptor in dealing with swarmy enemies and precision + stun grenades for hulks/titans
You can just arc rifle hulks to death. Takes 6 shots from the front and they're staggered from each one long enough for the next to be ready before they can move.
You gotta lead it a bit, but still hits like a dum truck, can take down heavies and if a mission goes long, it give reliable damage while eagle reloads.
Rail cannon is only okay against bile titans... the auto-aim seems to be a bit off because of the shape... it's a coin flip whether it dies.
The precision strike is always a KO... if you hit it, of course.
Me and my friends have come around on the precision strike too. You kind of end up ignoring it once you start unlocking other things thinking "oh it's part of the default kit, it must be worse" but I actually really like it
This my exact loadout except I run Stalwart instead of autocannon and I bring the new grenade sniper rifle as my primary and it has been such a good jack of all trades loadout
Sure.
Auto cannon handles pretty much every mid to large enemy, and works for bug holes/bot factories. And with the ammo backpack, I rarely run out of ammo.
EAT cooldown is so short that I can pretty much call it down whenever a heavy shows up, and I’ll usually kill a bile titan/charger with its drop too.
It’s a very effective loadout and I recommend anyone trying it out.
You really can't use it like an autocannon at all: Autocannon's fire rate is dramatically higher (x6 minimum), as is projectile speed, penetration, reload and stagger. If you want to replace autocannon's utility, that makes sense, but it in no way replaces it
I've been getting 700+ kills per match because of that explosive rifle. Eagle, eagle cluster, rover and arc thrower/flamthrower are my go to for bugs right now.
100% this
If Im not running Quasar, Im calling down EAT all the time. Its something like 70s
- Problem up ahead: drop EAT
- Bunker up ahead: EAT incase anything big pops out for a flare goes off
- Area we might come through again: EAT drop just incase we need it later
- Going past extract early: drop an EAT so its there when we need it
- Quasar on cool down: EAT gives me 2 more shots while it resets (typically its a friends EAT in this example)
I'll never feel bad dropping an unused EAT and picking up my main 3rd again, because I'll have 2 more in 72s or so
EATS almost aren't a support weapon. They're in your hands for a couple seconds and then you go right back to your main. Also great for giving someone without an AT weapon extra options. Quasar on cooldown? Use an EAT! Brought a Stalwart? Have this complementary EAT.
They're great, like much more reliable airstrikes.
Yeah that’s what I run.
I find it super useful for pretty much any scenario level 6 and up. EAT cooldown is fast and it fires way faster than a Quesar.
Autocannon handles most medium to large enemies no problem. Give it a try!
I switched to the Quasar Cannon over EATs. Its damage is better and you've always got it to hand rather than having to summon in 2 every minute. Makes a big difference in higher difficulties where you need anti armour more often and it saves those situations where there's a +50% call in time which means you're waiting for 10 seconds or w/e it is for the EATs to drop then pop out of the ground.
Napalm when it works versus bugs is *amazing*. Drop it on a bug hole breach, and it'll take out a couple of waves. I've had some ridiculous kill counts on bug missions thanks to that...but also yeah, the DoT problem sometimes means some ridiculous bug survival too.
I do like the napalm. The rockets have a different use though. I can use them for fabricators or hulks or tanks, where as I use the napalm for crown control. Both are excellent at their target usage.
It's a really, really good feeling to get your angle right, toss it, walk away, and as you're jogging away to the next objective, bam, Light/Medium Bot Outpost Destroyed.
It’s pretty much a personal go-to. Every other slot changes depending on the mission, but for almost every mission, I use the airstrike, except for exterminate missions which are turret city. I’ve gotten very good with how to judge its trajectory and maximize it as a result.
Taking out light fabricators and every single bot guarding it so no alerts
Taking out medium fabricators while running to safety before they can call the ships
Taking out both tanks by blindly chucking it over the wall on heavy fabricators
blowing up all 3 ammo dumps/parked dropships in a depot/airfield in a single run
3 goes before a reload
airstrike my beloved, just give me an orbital and an AC and point me at cyberstan
So sad watching someone just toss stratagems from the wrong angle, not hit everything, then seeing a single red flare punching through the clouds…… sigh.
When you throw it, it will fly in from left or right of whichever direction you were facing when you threw it. The cardinal direction is irrelevant, just using it as an example.
If you throw it while facing North or South, it will come from the West or East.
If you throw it facing East or West, it will come from the North or South.
Ah you are missing out on the triple Eagle-1 of Airstrike, Cluster Bombs, and Napalm with all the upgrades. On the new defense mission it's just waves and waves of death.
Oh I don't disagreed that other Eagle-1 call ins are great
Just too many times I need my Eagle Airstrike and its empty because I haven't used all my Cluster Bombs or 500kg Bombs. So I need to either do a re-arm or wait to use up the rest
So now I just go 1 Eagle, 1 Orbital. Then the other two kinda shift based on the mission type
This is the way. I've been weaning myself off orbital laser with precision strike orbital more recently and I've been enjoying it as I get more used to handling the precision strike. It definitely is hurt by some of the effects like 50% longer call-in time and I don't even try to use it if there is orbital scattering on the map, but otherwise it's a great jack of all trades type of tool.
What do you do for the 2 minute cooldown window though? That's why I hesitate to go full Eagle loadout, because when I use up all my Eagles I become mostly useless for 2 minutes. If I have some orbitals or some turrets, I can at least throw those down while Eagle 1 is rearming.
This is like half the reason I run orbital airburst over cluster bombs. Takes a bit longer to call in, and in return you get a longer sustained "fuck everything here that isn't covered in armor." Not incredibly worth it inherently, but unlinking it from the Eagle means I never have to worry about manually sending her back to rearm, or getting caught with only one of the two available. Just a good, clean, short delay chaff clear.
Also, it looks ***S I C K***
Eagle Airstrike, Laser, Autocannon/Quasar, and a flexible stratagem is my choice every single drop.
Sometimes I'll take jetpack for missions with cliffs/water, sometimes I take a turret for a defence mission, etc.
If by most useful you mean the most flexible, I agree. It is a Swiss army knife of a stratagem, not always the "best" tool for the job but good enough at enough things that you are never sorry you brought it.
I never run airstrikes but yeah yall are right, they're the swiss army knife. It does get cumbersome finding the right angle to shoot eruptor/autocannon/quasar into every bug hole/bot factory... maybe i should give it a try. I've already upgraded it...
That's one of my biggest use cases on regular missions, if I come upon an outpost but I don't have the right angle to blow it up with autocannon, an airstrike takes care of things while also killing a decent amount of the surrounding chaff.
It can be used on any mission at any level and will have the same level of effectiveness. And defense emissions I don't bring turrets I just have a whole bunch of eagles and everything gets shredded I'm usually the only one that has the most kills and the lowest deaths.
This is how I do defense and eradicate missions lol. Spam eagles until I'm out then I only have to wait 2 minutes to do it all again. So much staying power
It is the closest thing to a swiss army knife as you have for strats. Decent for area coverage, can lay the hurt on most things, and can also clear factories/bugholes really well. Pair that with good uptime (even better with extra charge) and a quick call in time, and you have something that I'm pretty sure I haven't taken off in the past 60+ levels...
Air strike is excellent and I use it a lot. But I love how many cluster bombs per reload we get, and how effective it is at removing the little guys (that can call in reinforcements) in a patrol.
It's the best "base" strat for sure. Overall the best strat is orbital laser imo. It's just too powerful and lasts too long to be anything else
But this one is a damn good strat too. It's super quick and predictable and covers good ground
I always us eagle airstrike, it's even better now withnew upgrade. And recently started using 380, with 15%small radius so far haven't killed any teammates 🫡
Eagle Airstrike is indeed one of the best and most versatile strategems in the game. Kills large groups, kills buildings/nests, kills towers, kills chargers/tanks/hulks if it gets a direct hit. And it can be used up to 30+ times per game if you want.
I don't use it much anymore just because I have found some loadouts that I like better, but it's one of the best generalist strategems in the game.
500kg is a fuck-you to a specific target. Like the Orbital Railcannon but you get more of them and they might miss if you don't lead it right.
Airstrike is the multitool you can just about always make work.
This and 110s are the best. People underestimate the fact that you can throw these damn near an unlimited amount every single mission with relatively short rearm time. When in doubt throw an eagle out. Cheers divers
I used to run cluster exclusively. I've switched to bomb because it's more versatile. Cluster is FANTASTIC at clearing chaff. But airstrike is decent at hitting chaff, destroying fabricators, and damaging larger enemies.
That ability to clear up everything even the occasional heavy if it's damaged or you hit it jjjjuuuust right makes this my go to as well.
I've gotten lucky on a bug breach and cleared a charger as it spawned a few times with EAS whereas the Cluster will never do that.
I always bring this everytime. Every thing else I mix and match but the eagle airstrike is my go to. Clears nests, bot outposts and if you know what you’re doing takes down multiple heavy enemies in one shot while also mopping up the small trash.
I see a lot of talk about the 500 doing this and that, but the only thing I've truly noticed it's better for, is taking out a bile titan. So long as the eagle airstrike hits where you want it, it can take out anything in my way. Buildings, tanks, et cetera. Absolute must
I never dive without it
since i found out about it, it has always been the first pick.
Air Strike, Orbital Precision, AC, EAT My ride or die loadout
Orbital Precision Strike, really? I found it too slow to be usable, if it was shorter it could've acted as a big grenade
Orbital precision will kill buildings that only the 500 can hurt. (Rogue research for example). Run the precision with stun nades, and you can do some work with it. Id it more effective than a 500? Maybe, maybe not. I personally dislike having two Eagle strats. I've been running Airstrike and Clusters with either 500 or rockets depending on the mission. Usually run AC or EATS for my support.
Love my clusters for clearing out patrols before a random tries to fight them and causes a bot drop
I stopped using the 500 entirely. Its been massively inconsistent for me and I've had it drop directly on enemies, explode, and they walk out completely unharmed. It's ok for buildings but the blast radius is smaller than the detonation leads you to believe I'll precision strike over that anyday.

Terrain matters a lot. If the target is between hills or next to a building or depression, likely a full-salvo miss.
500 kills everything but the gunship fabricator, what do you mean?
It’s hit box wonky also eagle one drops at an angle has a chance to hit other shit.
I wish I could upgrade the number of Orb Las charges I got...
I tend to ration it out to 1 orbital laser per main objective point. Most times I evac and I still have 1 extra charge left or I use my last one at evac since it wasn't needed.
Saving a charge for evac can be a huge play, honestly. It's really nice to have that ace in the hole if it's a rough extraction.
Yeah, I always try and save one for evac.
Orbital Laser is a must have for bots, at least for me. You can just chuck that baby inside a large base, kill everything, and wipe out 3-4 fabricators. I just run Eagle Airstrike/rocket pods alongside it for the quick cd to hit everything else.
Overrun by chargers? Dear god. I am now scared to go up in difficulty.
Don't worry, chargers aren't scary. Bile titans are a mild nuisance. The real ones you should and will fear are the Hunters.
I hate Bile Spewer packs the most.
Bile/Nursing Spewers have *definitely* jumped up the rankings of "I really hate these things" ever since the DoT effects were changed for fire and acid.
Hunter's are why I never go to the bugs without the rover
Just think of them as enormous puppies
Dumb puppies
Been running Eruptor with Arc gun + jetpack + precision strike and it feels really solid. Arc covers the weakness of eruptor in dealing with swarmy enemies and precision + stun grenades for hulks/titans
You can just arc rifle hulks to death. Takes 6 shots from the front and they're staggered from each one long enough for the next to be ready before they can move.
Ifni could master the timing of that strat, id be so happy. Between this and air strike, id be able to cover anything
You gotta lead it a bit, but still hits like a dum truck, can take down heavies and if a mission goes long, it give reliable damage while eagle reloads.
I've been doing a lot better with the orbital rail cannon, since it aims itself and will stay locked
The orbital rail cannon keeps attacking smaller targets lately for me, the amount of times it’s gone to a scout strider instead of a hulk sucks lol
I had that happen to me last night, threw a railcannon strike at a scorcher hulk and it shot the strider beside it instead...
Complex strat scramble effect? Maybe it wasn’t applying to rail cannon til now
Generally I prefer things that I aim manually. But rail Canon is still a solid option, so go spread managed democracy
Rail cannon is only okay against bile titans... the auto-aim seems to be a bit off because of the shape... it's a coin flip whether it dies. The precision strike is always a KO... if you hit it, of course.
I keep wanting to do that but the longer cooldown can be a liability especially with the targeting being wonky lately.
Replace the EAT with the autocannon turret and that's my loadout.
Wait. Say that again: Grenade ***sniper rifle?***
The Eruptor from the new warbond
How do you deal with chargers or hulks?
Me but laser instead of precision
Orbital Lazer in deck at all times
What’s EAT?
Expendable anti tank. The disposable one shit rocket launchers you can call down. You get two. Great against chargers and bile titans
Good to know I mostly have been doing bots as that what the major orders since I got the game.
Expendable Anti Tank
Oooh tanks
r/angryupvote
500kg, eagle air strike, orbital rail cannon, AC. Bots or bugs. It can handle anything.
it may be vanilla, but I love vanilla.
I can't go without my orbital EMS and stun grenades. Anything else I can dick around with but without those I'm helpless.
Huh the AC and EAT I like that. AC always had heavy armor difficulty but bringing eats to solve that is really neat.
Swap out orbital precision for mortar sentry and you got my loadout.
Problem with mortars, despite effectiveness, is that they indiscriminately aggro at range
Two supply weapons? Can I ask why?
Get the new explosive rifle. It's an autocannon without requiring a backpack that frees you a stratagem slot.
Have it bought, have not used it. I must!
100% this If Im not running Quasar, Im calling down EAT all the time. Its something like 70s - Problem up ahead: drop EAT - Bunker up ahead: EAT incase anything big pops out for a flare goes off - Area we might come through again: EAT drop just incase we need it later - Going past extract early: drop an EAT so its there when we need it - Quasar on cool down: EAT gives me 2 more shots while it resets (typically its a friends EAT in this example) I'll never feel bad dropping an unused EAT and picking up my main 3rd again, because I'll have 2 more in 72s or so
Couldn’t have said it better myself
EATS almost aren't a support weapon. They're in your hands for a couple seconds and then you go right back to your main. Also great for giving someone without an AT weapon extra options. Quasar on cooldown? Use an EAT! Brought a Stalwart? Have this complementary EAT. They're great, like much more reliable airstrikes.
Orbital precision is underrated honestly.
Have you used the orbital rail cannon? I feel like it’s a better version.
I have, and I do love it a ton. It sometimes lets me down and targets lesser enemies which can be a big pain on higher difficulties.
Flair checks out
![gif](giphy|l36kU80xPf0ojG0Erg|downsized) are we twins?
![gif](giphy|3oeSAD00YsGzUPTmqA)
https://i.redd.it/e8o7lij1gquc1.gif Hoo-rah!
Air strike, autocannon turret, rocket turret, Gatlin turret. Call me turret man.
Replace orbital precision with orbital laser and this is my go to loadout
Same, but rail cannon over precision. Longer cooldown but less chance I'll miss lol.
Instead of eat i use EMS against clankers
Mine for bots is Airstrike, laser, railcannon, ac Haven't played bugs since all the new changes so idk lol
AC? I'm thinking autocannon but running two support weapons feels weird
Air Strike, Orbital Rail Cannon, Jump Pack, EAT And running light armor? *chefs kiss*
Oh yeahhhh, B08 Light Gunner is my go to
Mine is air strike, stalwart, shield Gen, and eats while running the eruptor as my primary. I am the bane of devastators.
Mine is air strike, orbital laser, ac and a turret (most often) :)
still kind of a noob, what’s “AC?”
Auto cannon!
wow i’m fuckin dumb i should’ve realized that. so the AC *and* the EAT, huh?
Yeah that’s what I run. I find it super useful for pretty much any scenario level 6 and up. EAT cooldown is fast and it fires way faster than a Quesar. Autocannon handles most medium to large enemies no problem. Give it a try!
The orbital rail cannon is amazing too
Orbital rail cannon rocks. I switch precision for that sometimes for sure
Its a lot better if you expect to fight big ones. Precision is better against buildings
What is AC and EAC? AC is autocannon I suppose
Definitely my favorite strat due to versatility. And now it can be upgraded with a bonus bomb!
I've tried spicing things up by using napalm, because of the new upgrade. It's pretty damn effective.
I want to like Napalm but until they fix the Fire DoT bug it feels pointless to use when you can just take Cluster Bombs
Both are excellent at their target usage.
flair checks out
Same, you’ll have to pry it from my cold, freedom loving hands
+1
100% useful, perfect for automaton factories and bugs. 9/10 times i take it with me for any of my missions.
i bring it 10/10 times, it will alway have a use
Double mortar + shield + Quasar for bot eradicating missions. The only mission I don't take it with me.
Yeah, but someone should take it still at least 1-2 people for clearing messes of the bots when the drops all happen together.
Nice argument however 4-6 mortars go brrrrr
does airstrike kill factories?
yeah
They can also kill multiple if angled correctly
It's a really, really good feeling to get your angle right, toss it, walk away, and as you're jogging away to the next objective, bam, Light/Medium Bot Outpost Destroyed.
Yet to get to the efficiency point that I can run away. Always want to run back in after for my 2-5 samples in an outpost
How do u angle it correctly
It’s pretty much a personal go-to. Every other slot changes depending on the mission, but for almost every mission, I use the airstrike, except for exterminate missions which are turret city. I’ve gotten very good with how to judge its trajectory and maximize it as a result.
Once you got that judgment down you are a demolition expert in the game after that
I love finding medium fabricators, getting the line up, and destroying them both
Taking out light fabricators and every single bot guarding it so no alerts Taking out medium fabricators while running to safety before they can call the ships Taking out both tanks by blindly chucking it over the wall on heavy fabricators blowing up all 3 ammo dumps/parked dropships in a depot/airfield in a single run 3 goes before a reload airstrike my beloved, just give me an orbital and an AC and point me at cyberstan
I use them for general trash mobs as well. I wish I had the video but got a 42, I believe, on a 6. Just a huge patrol called it ran away.
So sad watching someone just toss stratagems from the wrong angle, not hit everything, then seeing a single red flare punching through the clouds…… sigh.
When you take out 2 fabricators with 1 pass. ![gif](giphy|3o7aCWJavAgtBzLWrS|downsized)
Am I wrong or does the hand in that look fake as hell?
It is. If you look at the corner you can see the black metal stick it's attached to.
How do you judge its trajectory?
For one it goes left to right, unless you are looking in the 90° between west and north, in which case it goes right to left.
When you throw it, it will fly in from left or right of whichever direction you were facing when you threw it. The cardinal direction is irrelevant, just using it as an example. If you throw it while facing North or South, it will come from the West or East. If you throw it facing East or West, it will come from the North or South.
It's the autocannon of the stratagems It eases a lot of pressure from the stratagems slot so that i can bring more fun stuff
Autocannon isn't the autocannon of strategems?
Naw, that's just my primary. You can choose three strategems.
Two really since my game is bugged and I can't remove the AC or EAS.
You too? For me it's that Orbital Laser that just stubbornly won't go away.
If only Orbital Laser didn't suck ass against bugs I would use it more.
Autocannon is the eagle strike of stratagems
Eagles are the Statagems of Autocannons.
Airstrike is to Eagles as Autocannon is to Support Weapons. Better?
Synonyms? I'm allergic to synonyms.
Definitely. In fact I tend to never take any other Eagle strats just so that this one rearms immediately
Ah you are missing out on the triple Eagle-1 of Airstrike, Cluster Bombs, and Napalm with all the upgrades. On the new defense mission it's just waves and waves of death.
Oh I don't disagreed that other Eagle-1 call ins are great Just too many times I need my Eagle Airstrike and its empty because I haven't used all my Cluster Bombs or 500kg Bombs. So I need to either do a re-arm or wait to use up the rest So now I just go 1 Eagle, 1 Orbital.
About a dozen waves of death, then a smoke break.
Returning to rearm...and get another carton.
This and orbital laser are go to!!!
They go well with each other
Eagle Airstrike, Laser, Autocannon/Quasar, and a flexible stratagem is my choice every single drop. Sometimes I'll take jetpack for missions with cliffs/water, sometimes I take a turret for a defence mission, etc.
For me that flexible one is often the orbital railcannon. Don't want to waste those 3 lasers on that tank over there!
Airstrike best strike No further elaboration necessary
But what if my desire to know more intensifies?
Claims EAS is best strat Refuses to elaborate Drops 12 precision munitions on your area
"""Precision"""
Looks at 120 and 380 Yep precision.
If by most useful you mean the most flexible, I agree. It is a Swiss army knife of a stratagem, not always the "best" tool for the job but good enough at enough things that you are never sorry you brought it.
Yes, you got it.
First to be slotted every time.
Every time
Its upright downright the best
It is apart of my standard load out regardless what front I am fighting on.
Orbital laser is the best one in my opinion, literally takes out everything in a couple seconds when I’m getting gangbanged from every angle
If I’m taking two strike stratagems, laser and eagle air strike are generally the best two. Add a support weapon and a pack it’s great.
Having it limited to 3 uses really hurts it being "THE" best. It's definitely a close 2nd or 3rd though.
It’s limited because it’s OP as is.
No you’re right that does ruin it coming to number 1
It is the closest thing to a swiss army knife as you have for strats. Decent for area coverage, can lay the hurt on most things, and can also clear factories/bugholes really well. Pair that with good uptime (even better with extra charge) and a quick call in time, and you have something that I'm pretty sure I haven't taken off in the past 60+ levels...
Cluster bomb who?
Hello there fellow cluster bomb enjoyer. I wish you sweet liberty, my leg 🦅
Air strike is excellent and I use it a lot. But I love how many cluster bombs per reload we get, and how effective it is at removing the little guys (that can call in reinforcements) in a patrol.
All eagle strats are good.but some are more versatile than others
S-tier stratagem. Never leave my Super Destroyer without it!
I always have that strat on me. Always.
Every single mission no matter what. Eagle air strike and the Redeemer sidearm.
Best one in the game. This and Orbital Railcannon are my dynamic duo.
It's the best "base" strat for sure. Overall the best strat is orbital laser imo. It's just too powerful and lasts too long to be anything else But this one is a damn good strat too. It's super quick and predictable and covers good ground
Laser and air strike pair so well.
Yeah, sadly it’s way better than the 500 kg bomb, that has no range
500kg is a fuck-you to a specific target. Like the Orbital Railcannon but you get more of them and they might miss if you don't lead it right. Airstrike is the multitool you can just about always make work.
500 kg is still better for killing bile titans
It is, it does everything
This and 110s are the best. People underestimate the fact that you can throw these damn near an unlimited amount every single mission with relatively short rearm time. When in doubt throw an eagle out. Cheers divers
CLUSTER BOMB
I used to run cluster exclusively. I've switched to bomb because it's more versatile. Cluster is FANTASTIC at clearing chaff. But airstrike is decent at hitting chaff, destroying fabricators, and damaging larger enemies.
That ability to clear up everything even the occasional heavy if it's damaged or you hit it jjjjuuuust right makes this my go to as well. I've gotten lucky on a bug breach and cleared a charger as it spawned a few times with EAS whereas the Cluster will never do that.
It is upright downright amazing!
I always bring this everytime. Every thing else I mix and match but the eagle airstrike is my go to. Clears nests, bot outposts and if you know what you’re doing takes down multiple heavy enemies in one shot while also mopping up the small trash.
This was the very first stratagem i've purchased and i always fit it into my loadout regardless of mission type.
Sad to say it took me until I got to level 30 before I realized the glory of the airstrike.
You are the only onw in the whole game brother
I see a lot of talk about the 500 doing this and that, but the only thing I've truly noticed it's better for, is taking out a bile titan. So long as the eagle airstrike hits where you want it, it can take out anything in my way. Buildings, tanks, et cetera. Absolute must
