It's probably because they coded things around the explosion to be knocked in the direction of the bullet.
It looks pretty normal when all targets around the explosion get knocked back from a distance, but when the explosion happens up close this is what we get LOL

I think someone accidentally inverted a vector that calculates the direction the explosion is in to the player, it's easily done and I've made the mistake before on pet projects, some pseudocode examples:
Correct - `player.velocity += (player.position-explosion.position).normalized*distance*explosionForce`
Incorrect - `player.velocity -= (player.position-explosion.position).normalized*distance*explosionForce`
Incorrect - `player.velocity += (explosion.position-player.position).normalized*distance*explosionForce`

I love using the Eruptor alongside a Stalwart, Laser Cannon, or other support weapon I can run as my main. However, I very much dislike dropping in with an Eruptor. There's always the chance that you are hot dropping into close combat and will have to toss the team toward the enemy a couple times before you can call down a support.
If I land with an eruptor and am surrounded, its running away time.
But seriously, you could try running stun grenades. If you get caught in close combat, use stun grenades and your secondary

They fuck up the explosion physic code at the same time releasing a full battle pass about explosive weapon. They didn't even acknowledge it on last week patch.
Just like when they had a pass with arc resistant armour and an arc weapon, just as arc effects are crashing the game.
The bugginess of the game is fucking with all the content they release, they aint doin so great.

Its all explosion damage done by you to enemies as it appears right now. Every boom to close to you, drags you under the enemy, instead of blasting away from them.
All the explosion projectiles have this bug now- the eruptor is just the most obvious.
I have a hunch it was done as a crude 'fix' to ensure that anything hit by explosions got rocketed away from the player and not do quirky things based off where the projectile technically hit (solve charger corpse getting flung towards you for example). The problem of course being that the player, and things adjacent or behind the player get vacuumed when the blast is too close.

how come you don't have the circle that shows where your bullet is going to shoot? You're shooting the wall every time and the explosion bug kept pulling you in.
The eruptor turns like an aircraft carrier. If you don't wanna play with the guy that's fine, just remember to give your aim about half a second before firing to let the gun catch up. Sometimes even a full second.
I saw a video once of some streamer dude with a āfull immersionā room. Like when he gets shot or killed, the lights in his room lights up red. When someone (or him) throws a smoke grenade, a fog maker behind him goes off. Itās pretty hilarious

I say, at least make their entire ass their weak spot when you don't have a rocket for the head available, that would balance it out a bit
I was cherry picking operations without the civ extract missions as I like to see whole operations through, I wanted to check out this planet but RNG was giving me all extract based operations at dif 4, but I guess it doesn't matter since I failed this operation on this final mission anyway š¢

Only time I do it now is if I know someone is being chased by a heavy, then i'll try to help them out by killing it. But solo... I *should* never do it again.
The biggest issue here is the stupid broken spawn system. Nothing on radar, nothing in a 180 degree vision in front of him, no small tremors so it couldn't have been behind him, and the fucker just spawns out of nowhere.
Happens a lot in bots where Hulk and 10 patrols just spawn out of nowhere.

Climbing terrain has been buggy since launch. It's like trying to climb in a Bethesda game: you can make a lot work, but it takes time and doing so under fire is just death.
I swear I've done the same, but in this clip here I was getting the 'can't mantle' icon when I first tried to climb to freedom. I sat still for a sec hoping to get the jetpack recharge without disturbing the sleeping bear charger

I play with most of my HUD toggled to "map only," for immersion. It really *feels* like I blew myself up here

I took a break for 2 days, came back to solo lvl6 and failed 4 missions in a row. I haven't yelled at my PC for awhile quite like that. Died to some of the most bs unlucky stuff. Also, Hulk flamethrower range is bs.
