I think infected bugs, just like robots, are random modifier now. We'll still meet them here and there, but ability to turn Season 4 off was added quite a few months ago anyway

Plus I'll be honest, the maintenance update in November which added the new weapon akin u locks was a more substantial update than season 4. And they still do holiday events ans anniversary stuff. Its not like the game is abandoned.
Season 5 is insanely massive, damn near wnat other games would call an expansion, so I feel more than satisfied with the wait if it means actual quality releases over warbonds

On the subject, there's a singleplayer project for WoW that aims to fill in the gaps that other players represent in the MM part of MMORPG, meaning you can just play it alone and still play all the game content(except for raids, but if you find a few friends, all the multiplayer stuff still works; so you can raid MC with 8 real people and fill the rest of the group with bots; your bots can even get upgraded from raiding).
It's mostly turnkey, but if you want to engage end-game or PvP content, there is a little bit of stuff you need to do.
Also, since you control the DB, you can tweak spells and items, or even make new ones.
And you can make your own GM account if you want.

Technically yes, the requirements were listed and I'm not gonna blame them for the server problems meaning they had to disable the PSN linking or the Steam page since that's more of a Steam website layout problem, but the fact that such an important and massive thing like having to link a mandatory PSN account to play the game inevitably wasn't given more precedence is a huge oversight on their part.
I'm not saying to pin all the blame on AH, but so many people are biased towards AH to the point that they'll refuse to acknowledge where they have fucked up. Hate Sony, and recognize where AH has messed up.
i dont know anything about vermintide 2 but rogue core is a roguelike/roguelite game with different biomes, enemies, mechanics etc. Even the space rig is gone and replaced with the ramrod (i think that's the name) spaceship. Only things that will be the same is most likely the gunplay and the fact it's in the same universe

Randoms are really friendly, but if you want to go Solo completely you'll be accompanied by Bosco, a trusty robot sidekick who can shoot bugs, mine, and light up caves.
Its not the greatest, you get a little robot to help you but he isn't exactly strong, you'll feel rather lonely playing solo.
The game was designed for co-op, that being said the community is excellent so you don't have to worry about playing with randoms, the game has been cleverly designed to make playing with others fun and to encourage people to be nice, there's a reason "Rock & Stone" gets spammed everywhere you go, hitting the shout button to play one of the Rock & Stone voice lines just makes players want to be friendly, you want to Rock & Stone others and they want to Rock & Stone you, its like a drug, if you're a douche then you wont get a Rock & Stone and that just feels bad.
He's better than any single Dwarf. He can fly. He can mine anything. He can help with secondary objectives. He shoots rockets. He never dies. And he has infinite ammo.
For everything except a Point Extraction mission, that last part is super powerful. It doesn't work for PE missions because the waves on PE increase with time until the entire level is just chock full of enemies on every surface. The only way to beat PE missions reliably is to do them fast; all the ammo in the world can't save you. For everything else, you can literally just run around long enough and Bosco will eventually kill everything.

Ammo is rarely an issue even on Point Extraction, the vast majority of games I play there is loads of ammo left over so we end up spamming things like Fat Boy's, I play Haz 5 exclusively and have so for over 2k hours. Its true PE mission waves get out of control after a certain point but it takes awhile for that to happen and even then still doable mostly fine. Bosco cannot clear a wave on Haz 5, it'll take so long that a new wave will end up spawning, even Haz 4 he'll struggle.
Bosco is great I love him, but he was designed to aid new players in Haz 1-3, he's still good at mining with the mining upgrade and the rockets are nice but that's about it.
Absolutely - as others said, you get a little drone that helps you, and can do pretty much everything a player can - mine, shoot enemies, and even carry stuff.
By default it only hovers around your general area and attacks any enemies that come close - similar to the Guard Dog backpack, but with less incompetent targeting - but you can also ping enemies, mineral deposits, or carryable items, and it'll focus on shooting/mining/carrying that thing exclusively for a while.
It even can revive you up to two times after you go down, although it might take its sweet time to do so, especially if it's currently occupied from you pinging something right before you went ate dirt.
Biggest downside is, while it can do most things, it isn't as effective as having another player around unless you can use the fact that it flies to tell it to mine a mineral vein high up in the air, and each of the four playable dwarves is also specialized in some way, having access to different weapons and utility tools, and even a different selection of grenades, while the drone has one rather generic loadout, with the customization options being mostly what to specialize it in.
People generally are pretty friendly though, chatter tends to be low, and while people (especially scouts with their hookshots) might zip all over the place and leave you behind, I haven't had an issue where players were actively unpleasant yet.
Yep. I mostly play solo, just promoted my first dwarf a few days ago. Playing with people will be *more fun*, and you'll rarely run into problems, but solo mode works great.
Yeah HD1 is novel, but not the type of game that promotes longevity of active users. The shared screen business is tiresome and makes the game SO insanely hard on higher difficulties. Enemies will jump off screen onto you, that sort of thing. I remember just blind firing in front of me every few seconds or so...HD1 was more like a proof-of-concept for the IP.
It's not going to be as huge in scale as HD2. If you're in it for the big boom and the air strikes and Eagle-1 attacks, there's really nothing comparable in DRG. There *are* a couple of big boom weapons and weapon mods, but again nothing really comparable.
The gameplay loop is pretty comparable though, and the tone is satirical in a similar way (although it's less governmental and more corporate, and the PCs a pretty disgruntled rather than brainwashed like Helldivers). The community is pretty top notch too.

I think its a better game full stop, and I say that with no shade to HD2, it's also fantastic, Deep rock has a evergreen component to it with the cave generation that no game has matched.

Vermintide I actually got all the achievements some years ago (really looking forward to the new Skaven releases). darktide pissed me off with all the glitches and bugs. I know they patched massive holes in the game, is playable now??
It's serviceable. Gunplay is as good as it was, a couple of new variants of the weapons, now there is a reason to do penances - they count towards a cosmetic-filled battle pass, some new missions were added as well, but nothing groundbreaking.
Yep, and they made all classes pretty good. Some meh changes to weapons from time to time, but better than HD2 for the last few weeks. Cosmetic shop is still about whales though.
They did add an achievement battle pass though, with cosmetics. And some of them are pretty interesting.
Darktide still needs work. It's finally at what I'd call 1.0 but because it's been out so long needs new content. It desperately needs more map variety. Even after hundreds of hours I have a hard time telling them apart.
Doubt for classes, but they released the Carnival region, which is pretty neat. And with new missions.
They have already announced a new map a mission (without specifics) for summer/autumn.
I mean, yeah, fat fish is slow, but arrowhead is kinda overwhelmed already with a warbond each month. So not the best way either.

Do not worry. Those are only cosmetic stuff. They do not have any gameplay features.
Look at the player written text in the down left on the game you are about to join. It can tell you what kind of player there are. Some people put stuff like "Only high level players only! Do not bring those and those upgrades or you will be banned" that way you will know who to avoid.
You might get some artifacts on the screen sometimes. Black geometrical spots that flash on. For me, personally, I have found that running the game in DirectX 11 fixes it.

I wish. DRG is amazing game that sadly never clicked for me. Thats why I was so hyped to get Helldivers. Without it I am back at square 1 aka playing modded Skyrim lol.
Not I. I went back to Deep Rock Galactic. It's got almost everything HD2 has, except the strikes.
But in every other way, it's strictly superior. Better weapon selection, far better level design, better objective variety, no dance dance revolution minigames, better progression, a deliberate solo mode that actually works, far better cosmetic options(if you're into that, I mostly ignore this part), and everyone gets special tools(choosing one of four classes; each has unique "traversal tools" for improving or navigating the fully destructible terrain).
Oh, and the spacerig has beer.
I don't like first person games, so in my case it's Warframe instead of Deep Rock... and I will throw it away when the first descendant comes, and it will probably suck and be filled to the brim with microtransactions, which means I'll eventually go back to Warframe, again... dammit!

Those give you Scrip, yeah - the Assignment is only a bunch of extra XP, but that can still be useful.

I have never played DRG. Does it scratch the itch like HD2 did?
It's not going to be as huge in scale as HD2. If you're in it for the big boom and the air strikes and Eagle-1 attacks, there's really nothing comparable in DRG. There *are* a couple of big boom weapons and weapon mods, but again nothing really comparable. The gameplay loop is pretty comparable though, and the tone is satirical in a similar way (although it's less governmental and more corporate, and the PCs a pretty disgruntled rather than brainwashed like Helldivers). The community is pretty top notch too.

I think its a better game full stop, and I say that with no shade to HD2, it's also fantastic, Deep rock has a evergreen component to it with the cave generation that no game has matched.

Vermintide I actually got all the achievements some years ago (really looking forward to the new Skaven releases). darktide pissed me off with all the glitches and bugs. I know they patched massive holes in the game, is playable now??
It's serviceable. Gunplay is as good as it was, a couple of new variants of the weapons, now there is a reason to do penances - they count towards a cosmetic-filled battle pass, some new missions were added as well, but nothing groundbreaking.
Yep, and they made all classes pretty good. Some meh changes to weapons from time to time, but better than HD2 for the last few weeks. Cosmetic shop is still about whales though. They did add an achievement battle pass though, with cosmetics. And some of them are pretty interesting.
I'd still wait for the upcoming crafting revamp to start playing it. Once it's done it'll be a great overall experience.
Darktide still needs work. It's finally at what I'd call 1.0 but because it's been out so long needs new content. It desperately needs more map variety. Even after hundreds of hours I have a hard time telling them apart.

I would barely call that content. New maps. Classes. Weapons. Enemies (Bomber is just the old bomber but green).
Doubt for classes, but they released the Carnival region, which is pretty neat. And with new missions. They have already announced a new map a mission (without specifics) for summer/autumn. I mean, yeah, fat fish is slow, but arrowhead is kinda overwhelmed already with a warbond each month. So not the best way either. Imo, but 3 months is the best frequency for this type of games.

I still play deep rock and helldivers. Deep rock is a fucking awesome game so is helldivers but Sony is a dumbfuck.

Just a quick tips. DRG has a lot of DLCs. This might make you think "Hmm, wonder if it is like crusader kings scenario, where some DLC must be bought to make the game playable" Do not worry. Those are only cosmetic stuff. They do not have any gameplay features. Look at the player written text in the down left on the game you are about to join. It can tell you what kind of player there are. Some people put stuff like "Only high level players only! Do not bring those and those upgrades or you will be banned" that way you will know who to avoid. You might get some artifacts on the screen sometimes. Black geometrical spots that flash on. For me, personally, I have found that running the game in DirectX 11 fixes it. And always, Rock and Stone!

I wish. DRG is amazing game that sadly never clicked for me. Thats why I was so hyped to get Helldivers. Without it I am back at square 1 aka playing modded Skyrim lol.

Not I. I went back to Deep Rock Galactic. It's got almost everything HD2 has, except the strikes. But in every other way, it's strictly superior. Better weapon selection, far better level design, better objective variety, no dance dance revolution minigames, better progression, a deliberate solo mode that actually works, far better cosmetic options(if you're into that, I mostly ignore this part), and everyone gets special tools(choosing one of four classes; each has unique "traversal tools" for improving or navigating the fully destructible terrain). Oh, and the spacerig has beer.
I don't like first person games, so in my case it's Warframe instead of Deep Rock... and I will throw it away when the first descendant comes, and it will probably suck and be filled to the brim with microtransactions, which means I'll eventually go back to Warframe, again... dammit!
If you die in DRG you get to watch your allies play in third person, so that’s kinda a fit. /j
Are there any mods for it to make it third person? Used to be able to play FPS games, but in my dotage I'm now liable to puke all over my keyboard.
Jesus Christ, that sounds rough. Have you considered Warframe then? It is a Third-Person Co-Op shooter with MMO RPG elements. Kind of grindy game, but it is free, so you don't commit any money, and you can always quit it without feeling like you lost something. Besides time

What happened to helldivers
From my POV (as a non Democracy Spreader) Pretty much Sony made it so that to play Helldivers 2 you are forced to make a PlayStation Network account which isn't available for A LOT of Countries and understandably people are in enraged by this. And rn i am feeling sorry for the devs despite their not so professional/reasonable response thus far to these rule and regulations changes.
