It's generally just referred to as "1940's Vintage Comic" style. It is also referred to as "Golden Age Comic Art", although this can overlap into the shift into the style of the 1950's and 1960's, depending on the production studio. You will find the absolute closest matches simply using the term "1940's Vintage Comic style" when searching for references in this style. You can also find references to this simply looking at "mid 20th century children's book illustrations'. For example, illustrations that were in Enid Blyton's work. Some artists of note that used this style were; * Vernon Grant * Mary Blair * Ludwig Bemelmans * Margaret Rey / H.A. Rey * Hilda Terry Edit: I would say that Vernon Grant and Hilda Terry would definitely be the closest, although, there are SO many various artists of varying levels of fame from this period that did this wonderful kind of work. It's so unique and some of us absolutely LOVE it. Reminds me personally of very old dutch cartoons my nana used to show me as a small child. I hope this helps answer your quest!

I’ve searched using reverse image search and even looking up “vintage cartoon” but it wasn’t the right style.
