Looks fantastic! I was excited to see the finished product based on the sneak peek photos, and this garment definitely doesn't disappoint. Very glad the fabric went to such a great use.
Did you do the dagging with scissors, or did you make/buy a punch?
Thanks. I made a paper template, then transferred that to [scrap fabric](https://i.imgur.com/0j7gyct.jpg) and used that to [chalk out the outline](https://i.imgur.com/SqZ8LRN.jpg) and cut it with scissors.
Wow! It fits you beautifully and the buttons, properly done I can tell, are wonderful, especially in their spacing. The dagged hem looks wonderful and my hands hurt looking at it as I once dagged a cloak more simply than this and it was....a challenge
Linen thread doesn't stretch like cotton so the buttons should be more secure. Plus it tends to wear better and the fibers knot up nicely making it easier to work stitches for the button holes and the thread shaft on fabric buttons. I've never used silk though, so I'm just comparing to cotton/poly threads.
*Wow, looking fine! You*
*Should absolutely make more*
*And wear them outside!!!*

This looks both warm and...playful? that's the word that keeps coming to mind.
I think that's what so much modern men's fashion is lacking--a sense of playfulness and fun.
Phenomenal! This is so beautiful. I love the fit, the closure, the sleeves, the color, and especially THAT SENSATIONAL HEM!!
It is awesome! It also looks really warm.
That hem is a showstopper! Out of curiosity, what is a hem like that called?
Thanks so much. The hem is called dagging, and the oak leaf motif was very popular at the time.
Still to come will be a pourpoint/paltok/quilted doublet and hood in a mustard wool.
I'm definitely not the only person who will be looking forward to that!
DAG man that's gorgeous!
Nice dagging!

Wow, all that work was worth it!

I'm glad I splurged on linen thread because it made the buttons so much easier.
How so?

Oh, cool. I hadn't known!
Looks lovely! I am almost finished my own 1300s kit :)
We need to bring this back, because it looks so stylish and so comfortable! Fantastic work!
It's extremely comfortable and easy to lounge and relax in.
That color! That hem! Those sleeves! I’m just drinking it all in.
The color is so great and the pictures don't do the lining justice.
You are so regal! What a wonderful project!
Stunning! I love seeing the men here.
Nicely done, good sir, I especially enjoy the elbows.
Nice work! Now you have to do a photo shoot in an orchard to reenact the original scene!
I know, it would be too cool.
Ive seen paintings of that hem, but I’ve never seen it in real life before. Very nifty

Good bot, Lol
This looks great! Elegant and comfortable, what's not to love?
You are talented and handsome.
Now this is what I called the 90s!
Absolutely phenomenal job! The fabric looks gorgeous and drape beautifully. Excellent job all around!
Absolutely beautiful in every detail! I know how long those bloody buttons take...
Love the hat and the super fancy dags!
I'm not convinced you aren't a medieval time traveler. Amazing color and form.
It’s giving Tingle, but medieval. I love it.
Stunning! I can't stop looking at this masterpiece! The design, the colour, perfection!
Oh my goodness, look at that dagging!
14thc mafia represent. Love to see dags and fabric buttons
Gorgeous!
This looks so good! And you look fantastic in it!

That dagging is incredible! Are the edges finished at all?
No finshing on the hem. The wool is felted and won't fray.
Nice! That’s what I figured given the level of detail on the hem
