It looks like the VB Commodore, the grill is slightly different to the VC: [Holden VB, VC Commodore History (tradeuniquecars.com.au)](https://www.tradeuniquecars.com.au/feature-cars/1710/holden-vb-vc-commodore-farewell-holden)
Corrrrrrect, the VC had the split louvre type grille. Family member has one, as a wagon, long time ago which is the first thing this reminded me of when I saw it.
The second was that you really don't see Commodore wagons of this vintage around. I don't think I have seen one in decades
Another piece of information regarding the VB Commode....it was the end of a long era for the Holden Red Motor, which began production in 1964, in the EH Holden.
The next model, VC Commodore, the motor was revised, and painted Blue.
VB mum had a SLE, wish she still had it. I however had a VC also a station wagon. 1.8l one the most underpowered heaps of shit the General ever birthed.
VB grille, but missing the hood badge that a VB would normally have, it may be a VC with a VB grille.
Likely a VB as there's some discoloration where the badge would be. Another way to tell us remove the side rubber strips, VB had plastic clips rather than glued on (VC)
It’s the first model Commodore in Australia, the VB. Still had a lot of German parts in them as there was a bit of a rush to get them out after the full size Kingswood / Belmont/ Premier got canned.
It could be a vc with a vb grille.
Vb had a badge in the middle of the chrome trim on the bonnet.
Broken grilles are easy to replace with 3 screwscnn only and are interchangeable between vb and vc
The only other external difference is the black highlight in the tail lights on the sedan.
As mentioned before, vb had a red motor, vc has a blue motor.
looking closer at the bonnet, it does look like a small square thats a little darker, or less faded where there likely once was a badge - which if that's the case, everything looks VB in the picture

VB, powered by a red motor that had its origins back in 1963. We had one for many years..
VB mum had a SLE, wish she still had it. I however had a VC also a station wagon. 1.8l one the most underpowered heaps of shit the General ever birthed.
My first car, in shit brown colour. I got out of a speeding ticket once by proving the shitbox couldn't reach that speed.
🤣🤣 now thats a real fucking shitbox
I love a VB and the VB commodores aswell
1-5-3-6-2-4, all around the garage floor, doing the old Holden Waltz
I always remembered the firing order of a straight 6 by putting 426 (what an engine!) and 351 (less so) backwards
I have the ballad to keep it in my memory :-) [The Old Holden Waltz](https://youtu.be/HQIl3Q65MOg?si=wR3JDOALgHBuYOBW)
What about a 340? Best of both worlds.
You were conceived on that very seat son *stares at you in rear view*

I saw a mint condition VK wagon not long ago, thought I was seeing things
If you can afford it change the locks, those VBs could be opened with any VB key.
Is this a vacationer model or no?
Certainly not the VD
