The call and react in their fight is so simple but executed almost flawlessly. It helped demonstrate that in some bossfights there are areas that are safe and others that sre not safe. (Ie. Center of ring as opposed to edge) i sincerely can't think of a better boss in regards to pacing and gamepkay design that helps solidify how bosses are going to work later on.
I was prepared for it to be terrible but I killed them in three tries (to be fair, I did use the chandelier trick on my first play through, so take that as you will)

This is definitely an unpopular opinion but I’ve always thought that the Soul Master was by far the most fun boss fight in the game. Specifically his first phase has really fun patterns that feel super satisfying to counter once you get them down
Fair enough, they are fast, but not impossible. I found Soul Tyrant's timings easier than Soul Master's because I read that you can jump over his ground slam, and because I had become very adept at locating healing windows after fighting TMG that made the fight much less of a hassle, it was primarily cutting down on stupid mistakes and learning when to and not to heal.
For me the fight was decently hard at the time, but the main issue i have with the fight isnt actually the fight, its how you have to go through that one part of soul sanctum every attempt to fight the boss again, since there isnt a bench at the boss fight. I just remember that section of soul sanctum being really hard to get through. I still think soul master is a fun boss, it just took me a while to get better at the game and realise how fun he was to fight.
Yeah that's really the main gripe I have with soul master. It's not as bad as getting to hive knight, but that's not really a comparison you wanna make

I fully agree with everything youve said. Those exact 4 are my favs. I like how tight the fights all are, you really have to watch whats going on and react quickly. Love pure vessels patterns, its one of the most satisfying fights in the entire game. It feels like a violent dance where you have to be in tune with your dancing partner while beating the shit out of them.
Yup - all of them feel very fair and fun: if you make a mistake you are punished and if you learn and react well you are rewarded.
Absolute Radiance…to an extent is also true, but there’s also so much randomness injected into the fight that it’s not fun. At least not for me. And that’s not because I haven’t beaten it because I have beaten it in P5.
Agreed on Absolute Radiance, gotta be one of my least favorite boss fights in any game tbh. There isnt skill, its totally random. The only times ive managed to beat her are when she spawns right above the lowest platform in the 2nd phase so i can unload a bunch of abyss shrieks right off the bat. Its too many attacks all at once that sometimes you just literally *cant* dodge.

I just beat him not long ago, incredibly good fight and extremely rewarding, but I still prefer Mantis Lords because Grimm's slash attack into the fire balls was really annoying, I always got hit there
Once I found out you can simply shadow dash through that attack then NOT MOVE AT ALL the fireballs will miss you every time. Instantly took all the chaos out of that fight. Idk how many times I died to him before figuring that out, but it was a lot.
100% sisters of battle, i love How fast paced it is and my playstyle does not allow healing so fighting a boss where you are not meant to heal on is very fun

It’s not the gameplay I love about it, it’s about how well it fits into the world. I think the second phase is really cool, how you’re never prepared for it on your first play through. The enemies that teleport around prepare you for it. The soundtrack during the fight fits incredibly well. The fact that it uses Dive itself makes so much sense when you defeat them. It also just looks really cool. If you asked me to rate it on how fun the boss is to fight, I’d pick the Mantis Lords, but overall I’d pick Soul Master.
Possibly a hot take, but I really like Failed Champion. Fun bossfight and he's quite the cool fellow, although I felt bad killing his siblings for the hunter's journal. 🥲

Nightmare King Grimm and Sisters of battle . Both of these fights are just perfectly choreographed dances where anytime I make a mistake,I know EXACTLY why it happened. NKG takes first tho because once you defeat one of them, sisters of battle may be a little too easy.
Watcher knights I found it relatively hard unlike other bosses who i found so hard it was annoying. watcher knights was perfectly hard (to me) and I beat it 3rd try on my first play through
Manits Lords, you feel incredible after defeating them and the fight itself is perfect.
The fight has a rhythm, with next to no RNG making is almost purely skill based and incredibly rewarding to beat
Soul Master/Tyrant. There’s just that feeling about fighting a boss that is trying to get away from you rather than the other way around. He promotes a playstyle that involves zipping all around the map to catch an evasive target.
NKG. Everything about that fight is S tier. The music, the ambiance, the fight, the giant Higher Being looming above, everything is so dramatic and I love it

Ah yes I forgot the very reason why I started playing it. Grimm. One day I found my causality the Grimm Battle theme and then they recommended me NKG soundtrack too. And I said “they are really great songs” so I checked the name and searched it on the internet, I found the battle, watched it several times and got in love. One day I decided to buy the game just to fight with that guy since I heard it was pretty difficult, by the time I reached him I had already fallen in love with the game. So I decided to go further. Never finished 112% because I feel like some battles are a bit unfair, but still I’m trying.

No one’s theme plays in the Pantheons except the bosses. They all play their own themes in individual Hall of Gods fights.
