Bonus edit (intended to be fun facts, not nitpicking): the term “aneurysm” actually refers to a weaker, bulged-outward portion of a blood vessel wall, rather than the event of that wall rupturing. You can have an aneurysm your entire life without knowing about it—or it can cause problems even without rupturing, such as if it grows too large and starts pressing on something which shouldn’t be pressed on (I swear I’m not trying to make this sound dirty). Finally, aneurysms can occur anywhere in the body; brain aneurysms just hog the spotlight.
