origanalsameasiwas

It actually 299.00 on sale but who ever made the label was in a hurry to go home.

Logicalist

and so it's now $30. Would absolutely buy.

ghilliesniper522

Yeah they wouldn't sell it to you for $30

stretchnutz96

They did sell it to me and I saw two others have one too. And they didn't question anything.

EvilDan69

Yeah where I live in the province in Ontario, they have to sell it to you if the sticker listed the product and the price and they try to change it at the cash register. Consumer protection. Not a to link fan but a deal is a deal. Start the car!

Deadpool2715

Free up until $10 or $10 off is the general practice if the sticker price is different than the scanned price, but it's not a law. Obviously the business can choose to take the full hit and honor the price regardless. Not sure what happens if the scanned price is "wrong", online orders can be cancelled but can in sure purchases be denied due to "system errors" https://ised-isde.canada.ca/site/competition-bureau-canada/en/deceptive-marketing-practices/types-deceptive-marketing-practices/scanner-price-accuracy

1isntprime

You dont like spyware with your reasonably priced electronics?

LongestNamesPossible

I will never use a router without flashing the firmware.

titanofold

This is probably a misinterpretation of the rules. We have similar laws in the US. Ultimately, the seller can refuse to sell at the incorrect price.

Piett_1313

This is the way, grats on the incredible score!

dj65475312

somebody fked up, I would have bought them all.

kdockrey

In some states, retailers have to sell the product as marked even if it is wrong.

eLaVALYs

I would go back and buy all they had, and then put them on ebay for $200 each.

Traditional-Handle83

See... you need to play the lottery right now your luck is in your favor at the moment.

WaffleClap

Or their luck is now used up

rallar8

In some places it’s the law, and many times staff are trained it that it’s cheaper to sell it, and then correct it later. Massachusetts has laws on price accuracy like that.

kdockrey

Also, California has laws on price accuracy. I bought a new MBZ years ago that was advertised with the wrong price.

rallar8

For $29.00 I hope 🤞🏻

BruceInc

Their inventory and labeling system likely has it priced incorrectly as well because that’s how the label gets printed. So if it says 29 on the label, it’s 29 in the system also

cheseburguer

If the label says $30, they have to sell it to you for $30.

bbllaakkee

OP said it was

Accomplished-Boot-81

Sounds like a report to the authority for advertising if you ask me

Accomplished-Lack721

People misunderstand false advertising laws. Specific rules vary by jurisdiction, but generally a company is entitled, legally, to decline to sell you a product because they accidentally listed it at the wrong price. Companies cancel orders for this reason all the time. A company may or may not have its own policy to honor a mislabeling in the interest of customer service and avoiding hassles. You're not the victim of any crime if they didn't take your money. They're not entitled, legally, to sell you a product that they advertise to be one thing when it's really another. If you buy this and it's not capable of any of the features on the box, that's false advertising. They're also not entitled to play certain sorts of games in with pricing, for instance fraudulently describing something as the sale price but artificially hacking up the stated "normal" price on the ticket, depending on yhe jurisduction.

Logicalist

This isn't a listed product, this a product with a price set in store. So in this case, the price is Displayed as one thing, then they would be jacking up the price at the register, and I am pretty sure that is a no no.

Accomplished-Lack721

They can't surreptitiously jack up the price at the register and not tell you. They can certainly tell you it was misticketed and give you the option to buy it at the correct price. If a mistake is made and not caught at the register until after the transaction is complete, they'd just have to accept the return without penalizing you.

Etc48

My brother went to our local boat dealer and found a fish finder with the price missing a zero. Was $1,500 but paid sticker of $150. He double checked with the lady at the counter who was clueless, so she asked her boss. He was irritated at her and basically said whatever the sticker said, use that price. He went back the next day to see if they had another one and her manager scowled at him the whole time

burnman123

This happened to me at a grocery store with a cake a week or so ago, the label said 1.99, but it was supposed to be 19.90. it was a delicious cake.

it_gpz

A couple of months ago i went to a big box store website during lunch looking for some tool (am renovating my house) and stumbled upon a sale för bathroom products from quality brands at 90 % off. I haven’t gotten to the bathrooms yet but the deals were too good to pass up and i ordered two new sinks and a couple of faucets worth €700 for €70. Thought about it during the day and went back after work, all prices were updated to 10 % off. Someone probably messed up entering the sale in their system and i paid 10 % instead of getting 10 % off. Expected them to cancel my order but i actually got the stuff!

bazinga_0

The sign of a really good store that they honor the consequences their mistakes.

Suspicious-Pair-3177

Literally my reaction to the price was. This is fake, now way it’s been marked down that much

stretchnutz96

So I went ahead and bought some. Just because it was still cheaper than any other router. And yes it was $29 for each Have no idea why.

Wunderwaffe_cz

A few hours later at the store... Rowan... how many routers did you sell for that price...

Flyer888

“Free laptop for every purchase of a USB stick”

xX500_IQXx

DAMN IT ROWAN ITS FREE USB FOR EVERY PURCHASE OF A LAPTOP

Phate118

VLDL!! Yesss!

mootmath

Pay cuts. Pay cuts all around, sooo....

momomelty

Lmaoooooo VLDL skit. They sure have some funny videos

Franceesios

LMAO!!!!

ItHappenedAgain_Sigh

The why is very simple, a digit is missing.

fkitimout

Shot in the dark OP, but you did you buy this at a BX/PX? Tags look mighty like BX/PX style….👀👀

stretchnutz96

Yes Osan AB. Great eye

Sanders0492

Well I was going to ask where you got it because I wanted that deal too. But it’s probably not worth the flight lmao

stretchnutz96

Come for a router stay for the soju. Deals like these is why I signed up. Now I can get out.

overthinkersanonymus

Spidey senses tingling. Getting bad actor vibes. Selling it to mil ppl super cheap to get some backdoors going. Most likely just a mistake though.

robb7979

It's a mistake.$299 on the PX website.

zR0B3ry2VAiH

I always forget that they have an e-commerce site.

Wierd657

They rang at that price or did they have to override it?

stretchnutz96

I went through the self checkout without any issues. I even made sure it was $29.00 at the price checker.

Poncho_Via6six7

It is what it is! Good on yay! I wish I had deals/ misprints like that when I was in

stretchnutz96

Been in for some time. First time I've ever seen it.

qvMvp

U down to sell one ?

Secure-Subject-8914

Worth it for that price

Exilethenoble

How many is some? Asking for a friend. 🤔

BrunoDeeSeL

Because no one wants to own a router that looks like a kid's toy.

Northhole

Buy em'all!

stretchnutz96

I kinda did. Don't know what imma do but might sell em on Amazon

snay1998

How much u want for one?

Embarrassed_Leg_8134

ONLY $299.99!!!

Status_Instance_4639

business is booming

iVtechboyinpa

I’ll buy one 🤣

Tiny-Kangaroo4671

Brother did you really? I’m a college kid whose been saving for a router. If you could sell me one at a discount you’d be a lifesaver (tired of spectrum’s shitty router)

SatyamC916

That looks like a steal to me!

Retired_Monk

CauliflowerNo3225

I'd also take one if possible.

zMynxx

I want one too

MrJake2137

Ah yes, only gigabit lan

ashyjay

It's just one of their AX6000s but with an extra 5ghz band, the lack of multi-gig does suck a bit.

frockinbrock

You can bind ports together and do 2.5G* *Edit: I was corrected on this, it has 2.5g WAN, “multigig WiFi” and can add 1 wired Link Aggregation device at 2g (theoretical). Longer answer: I’ve seen this setting before on my tpLink without looking much into it. It’s basically only for a NAS or specialized switch that *also* supports link aggregation. So not that OP would need this at all, but for those interested: OPs router(s) (AX11000) have a 2.5g WAN port, and [then 4x 1g LAN ports, but supports link aggregation](https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/1583/). So in short, this router has theoretical WiFi above 1G if using a multigig ISP connection, and could also add One 2g wired device that supports link aggregation. Not perfect 2.5g LAN, but it’s better than 90% of “consumer” routers offer.

lStan464l

2G\* if each port is 1G

frockinbrock

Proud_Purchase_8394

Unfortunately a common thing, even on most routers into the $600-700 range. I got a TP-Link for $500 that has 10 gig WAN, 10 gig LAN, and then another 4 2.5 gig LAN ports. It was the only one I could find with at least 2.5 gig that didn’t cost $1000

Ihatescold

Looking for routers is wonderful, if you find one you like it always lack something. Wifi 6e - 7 can do 2400mbps, but they give you a single 10gb, or 2.5gb wan with gigabit lan ports.... The current routers on the market sucks, hopefully the models coming out this year will improve, with longer firmware support. Or you look for accesspoints, you find a wifi 7 ubiquity dish that only have 2x2 antennas. The newest broadcom and snapdragon chips have support for multiple 2.5gig ports, like the tp-link BE routers.

talman_

What a load of marketing shite. The thing looks bloody awful!

Its_the_Fuzz

look up this router, it's good and it works. Might not be worth full price but it's still a good router

idiotic-username

Bro turned into a whole ass ad

ashyjay

I'd get 2 and use one as an AP.

stretchnutz96

What's a AP?

belzaroth

Access point Eta. It means to add another "broadcast station" for your WiFi extending its range.

stretchnutz96

Thank you. Sorry if it was a given. Still trying to figure out more of the lingo.

nerdthatlift

I would use "expanding network coverage" rather than "extending its range" since it can be confused with WiFi range extenders which are not quite the same.

nerdthatlift

AP = Access Point or WAP = Wireless Access Point They are devices that broadcast your wireless network. Wireless router has access point built-in. The stand alone access point can be installed in different locations away from router to provide WiFi. Multiple access points would in turn expand your network coverage. You usually connect access point to router via Ethernet cable. Not to be confused with WiFi range extender, though most range extender has access point mode. The range extender works differently where it connects to wireless network using WiFi signal and then repeating the signal back out. Range Extender is not well recommended because it has latency issue and not as reliable as the other alternative methods.

Fryphax

You couldn't back up another 4 inches and get the price / product in the same picture?

stretchnutz96

I know it was mistake. I realized my mistake when I was posting.

PvtHudson

I had to kill Bob Morton because he made a mistake, now it's time to erase that mistake.

Pharmie2013

Dick, you’re fired!

ghos2626t

Why’s it matter ? You can clearly see the name of the product on the tag, and the box in the background

Dragon_Fister69

I had that router for the longest time before moving to unifi. Worth it.

iamironman_22

I think it’s funny that some of us are out here living the same lives lol I did the exact same thing

Dragon_Fister69

Yeah, it served it's purpose at the time. Needs change. I'm just upset I paid full price, OP is over here looking at that sale with questions haha.

Kaptain9981

For $30 it’s still a Wi-Fi 6 router with 2.5Gb WAN and link aggregation supported on the lan ports. So you could in theory pass a 2/2Gb connection to your lan even with a 1Gb switch that supports LAG. Each client could only pull up to 1Gb but that’s probably fine for more sites/services anyway. Plus it’s only $30. They are listing for at least $150 used so even just flipping them would be worthwhile assuming they be let you buy all they have for $30 without figuring out obvious something is up.

[deleted]

If it looks too good to be true …

Acceptable_Moment551

It's a TP Link for F sake! Comes with a backdoor. for tplink acess. All tp link crap is at risk for spyware!

Glittering_Glass3790

Absolutely yes for that price

[deleted]

Buy them all, turn them over on eBay, and then buy a good router.

NotThatDude-111

Possibly run open wrt on that device

Responsible_River_44

The more spikes the better

mop_bucket_bingo

“Dominate the competition” as long as they aren’t using Ethernet cables.

techweld22

Is it legit price or prank price? Too cheap if its true

AidsOnWheels

That's on a military base isn't it?

Acceptable_Moment551

Are we all forgetting it's a TP Link? Lol

Intelligent_Bison968

What's wrong with tp-link?

LegendofDad-ALynk404

10Gbps wifi, with a 2.5gbps WAN. Yep, marketing checks out

C-ORE

Wow wtf what a steal. Cheaper than my house router(just a standard router 5 not WiFi⁶)back at home and perform way better too

kaito1000

I'd buy it but it is ugly. I'm guessing that's a typo and it was supposed to be 299. hah get in quick

Skrillex3947

It's a good router, depends on what you're gonna use it for and what your current network can output. I.E - If you're paying for a 1gb plan the max you can possibly get will be up to 1gb (depending on your devices themselves) For the WiFi side of things honestly ignore the 10gb this is one of the main things I hate about Tplink and their branding is that if the WAN port doesn't get up to 10gb (in your case it only reaches 2.5gb) you won't get those speeds.

One_Canary_7631

It's not just TP link. All wireless routers advertise like that. It's a combined round trip speed for all bands. In reality you'll get maybe 300 Mbps. Maybe 400. For any one device. But for $30 it's a hella deal. At full price I'd be buying an Amplifi Alien.

TetchyTechy

Id love one as well if you have surplus 👍

Resident-Apricot-318

Jump on it. It's a deal! U can always return it without a receipt later n get refunded the full price

One_Canary_7631

Buy everything they got. Sell on the marketplace, or eBay.

GoldenPika64

Tentacle router

liquidsin25

Great buy.

nVME_manUY

Yes

pio_11

if u can actually get that router for 29$ not 299$ buy me one too 😉

simplestpanda

But a few and resell them? Yes. Worth it. Buy any to use? No.

PineappleDevil

Yes. Good deal to use or flip

xyourmomx

If you’re in the US, I’m interested in buying.

qutaaa666

Yeah! DOMINATE THEM ALL!!

Gold_Review_4245

If its cost u $29 each grab the all of it and resell it for 129 + shipping 🤭

Pikachu8752

I got one of these when Costco still stocked it. Beast of a router.

ykoech

Luck hardly knocks twice on your door.

Wiredprodut

For that price yes.

ibeerianhamhock

Wifi 6e is the sweet spot now. It’s a little early for wifi 7 routers, and they are a bit overpriced but wifi 6e is much better… But at 30 bucks just get this and when wifi 7 routers are cheaper and devices are more abundant I’d upgrade. It’s going to be a huge, huge shift. Extremely low latency, very high throughput, etc.

stretchnutz96

Imma be honest. I just found out that there was WiFi 6. Trying to find out what happened to the other 5. Now hearing there's a 7 coming out is just mind blowing.

[deleted]

Where is this? Asking for a friend.

Validity_

What store is this?

T0astyMcgee

Don’t disgrace your house with this ugly ass alien thing.

joey0live

I’ll buy one off of you. I heard you bought many.

spudmashernz

Had one for a few years. Sits behind my record cabinet against the wall. Still services the whole house well with kids constantly on devices

aberdisco

Buy me one too, I'll pay you 60 bucks.

ronasimi

lol no "DOMINATE THE COMPETITION" lol

minion71

Well here in Canada there is a law and I would buy it for this price!

TheRatPatrol1

Well it’s only wifi 6 - not 6E. My friend has one, says it’s pretty fast for 6. And it has 8 built in ethernet ports.

Far_Choice_6419

Yea

tv6

Great photo! Research.

LongTallMatt

I prefer the Asus models much better. Their firmware is much more customizable... By far.... And they keep their firmware updated. And they keep old hardware firmware updated.

studentblues

Great find! I had an older generation router like that that had slower speeds on 5G vs 2.4G. Can you try doing a speedtest on both bands and see if this model does not have an issue anymore?

RealJayyKrush

That's probably an area issue. Walls are the enemy of 5G

studentblues

I tested a few devices beside the router and it was slow on the 5G band. I already moved it to an old house where 5G is not really needed.

fcalmar

Transformers: Rise of Optimus Routerus

Acceptable_Moment551

I had issues with them regarding privacy. I use Unifi now. I was lucky I was able to sell the 3 Deco units I had. I still use some their IoT products. However they are all on a separate VLAN. Another reason is that they are not so transparent. Hey if you like them that's all that counts right?

stretchnutz96

I don't know to much on networking so please bare with me.

megared17

I wouldn't buy that to *use* at all, at any price. I might buy some to resell at profit to people with more money than knowledge.

ranfur8

>with more money than knowledge. This is surprisingly common nowadays

OrangeNood

I would buy it. But keep in mind TP-Link is the infamous router that was hacked into Trojan horse.

sandreas8

There is no such thing as a gaming router only ignorant buyers and crafty marketing ideas.

SynapseSmoked

Yeah.. they're worth about 30. get a WiFi6 card for your computer, too. I get 1gpbs/1.2gbps on my wifi link.

Drew_Pera

That’s a steal. Congrats on the find.

rob3342421

Buy three! Sell the other 2 on eBay

Risdeen

802.11be is already came in dev side

fixminer

In general I would say you should wait for wifi 7, but at this price it's a no-brainer.

Wesleyan8s

Doesn’t matter the cost if you need Tether to manage it.

Former_Lettuce549

It’s worth it!!!

Dotternetta

Wow!

AtLeast37Goats

Make a profit dude you already know what to do

cplank00

Get a UniFi set up!! You won’t be disappointed!

xD3v1LG4m1ngx

Hell yeah I'd buy a couple sell them for more then upgrade to WiFi 7.

Capital_Associate_77

This will work really well with my ADSL

Frenchyaz

That's a good deal. What was the store? Walmart?

atatsiak

I have one and I love it, you should try it if you do gaming

larryherzogjr

Not the product for me. But would definitely buy them out and resell.

DSPGerm

I would buy one from you….

mujin00

I would like to buy one from you. I'm going to pay the shipping cost if any as well. 🤝

MrAwesomeTG

Someone is getting fired

pldelisle

Never.

Steeljaw72

I love those ads where they are like, our internet is fast enough for such and such, and it’s amazing. At the same time, the bandwidth needed for that thing has been standard speed for the last 20 years. They are just preying on people who don’t know how the internet and wifi work. I hate advertising. Edit: wife>wifi

stretchnutz96

I still don't know how wife work either. I miss wife.

haji1096

No. Run a cable

vikookies

here the 2.4GHz normal old routers from 2015 are €50 and up.. the gaming ones are €100+

gotsum411

What store was this at?

quantum_ice

Considering I just bought my gigabit router fore like $60 seems like a good deal to me lol

random74639

Depends on how much you want to dominate the competition.

jackass

Yeah, if you want to dominate the compition.

Lunarxlord

29$ take it or leave it

0sendmenukes0

Def that’s a typo

InstanceNoodle

I think it works with omada.... damm... extremely cheap ubiquity alternative. Ubiquity wifi 6 ap is over $200 per, and the switch is over $200, and you need the controller, too. Buy 4, and you save over $1k in equipment.

AlivePalpitation7968

Wifi 6 routers arent worth it go for 6e or 7 Most modems are now wifi 6

Moedaman

What store did you find this in?

stchman

I would have bought EVERY AX11000 they had for $29? That router is $299 - $329 everywhere else.

SmoothMcBeats

I had one and loved it. I needed something that could DFS channels, and this was great. Only reason I don't use it anymore is because I moved to wifi 7. I live in a pretty dense apt. complex so having 6 ghz has been nice.

Riplinredfin

Great score too bad it wasn't the E version

networkninja2k24

Is this microcenter? Sure I would buy that just as play toy at that price lmao.

noxiouskarn

I had a offer on the disply buy a surface get a free digital pen or whatever, so i buy the thing and ask the clerk is the pen in the box he says what pen i walk him over to the display and he says oh thats old and pulls it. I said i bought this cause of the offer he said too bad... I saunterd over to customer service and asked for a management team member and that I'm happy to explain it but I wont do it twice so lets just get a manager over and I'll tell yall but I'm not mad i just need to clarify something before i get mad. told them dude pulled the card they called him over they told him he did the right thing in pulling it but I was entitled to the deal because our state laws requires advertized prices to be honored or the store faces fines from the state... never had that issue again worked there for 3 years too after the incident i got hired for customer service. (not because of the incident but management remembered me after the hiring and dude was let go shortly after because that wasn't his first oopsie with attitude)

coogie

I keep hoping to find a kit with a battery like that. I only have two XGT batteries and a charger but the charger has to stay on another location.

0southpaw0

I’ve got that one, well worth the super cheap price. I paid £370 for it 4 years ago! To be fair, so far it’s been the most reliable and configurable router I’ve owned. I know I’ve not lived yet lol

dogzdangliz

Yes but only if you get a wireless card to take advantage of it.

summonern0x

I have the AX10000 and it's a *dream* to use. Honestly, if you can pick one up even at retail value it's a great buy

Unique-Bit-2172

Can I buy one? DM me if you want more for it

Thee_FantaFox

Not worth getting at any price, it all depends on your ISP to get the fastest speeds and connection, I’d recommend using the ISP provided router if it’s Xfinity(the XB7 only, the XB8 is trash), Frontier(the newest one that’s available), and Verizon (The Fios router)

Sbualuba

If you got that router for $30 then hell yeah brother that's a steal!

richms

I would normally say that a gaming router isn't worth it at any price, but for this I would make an exception. Just turn off all the routing crap and use it as an accesspoint and it will be fine.

kinkyloverb

I use it currently. Love it. Only some issues with the app. But I definitely didn't get it for a STEAL!! nice work

FilmmagicianPart2

Can you get me 2?

still-at-the-beach

Yes. Buy it.

koga7349

Wouldn't be my first router choice but can't beat that price! Seems solid.
