There's just something about it that I never liked, and after having it for almost 6 years I wanted a change. The black and silver look on the same year Accords are badass though. That contrast I like.
I never like the black/grey stuff Honda and Toyota started doing to the wheels. It made it look like imitation wheels I would regularly see on these beat up economy cars driven by kids, lol
I did appreciate the extra few days if gave you before needing to wash it. The black was in the spots the brake dust accumulates. Now I have a 2018 Honda fit sport and they are all black lol.
I love it...but don't love it. Hard to explain...
Like the other poster said, they look great, but to me, they look like great lower end OEMs.
I'm torn brother🍻
I just put those rim's on our HR-V. They are much better than stock in my opinion.
I have another set that I will maybe try powder coating...darker🤔
I agree, I don't think any color paint would do these wheels justice. They aren't the ugliest but they aren't good looking either but as long as you're happy good on ya!! My friend painted his matte white and his car is like a prismatic purple and it's atrocious
you know the 2023 crv's wheel always struck me as "there's something I don't like about this" and now I know why. it's def the shade of color Honda uses, "plastic gray"
Looks very clean, never was a fan of the black accents on the stock rims, this is how they shoulda looked imo. I feel like the people that don’t like it are probably just so used to seeing the stock 2 tone rims now. This looks way better imo
> why? You *paid* for that?
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
I don’t necessarily like the colour OP went with, but I gotta agree, machined/black look doesn’t look good. Reminds me of every god damn Ram driver that puts rims on their truck, with bald rubber and a monster sticker on the back window
It's funny you mention that, my first post was a question in regards to color: black or bronze! And overwhelming responses to "get new wheels" and "leave em stock" 🙄
Bronze would have been better. I HATE oem wheels, so I like what you had done. But yeah, I would have gone bronze just so it contrasts with the color of the car.
Believe me, I almost went bronze, but after trying to find photos and possible mock ups, the cars I did find I just didn't like the color with my car's color. Honestly I'm not a fan of my car's color at all, I got it pre-covid and the deal was too good to pass up (dealer couldn't sell it, no one wanted coupes, they moved it to their roof lot where they keep excess cars)
Yeah, I see the color of the car now that I looked closer, and I have to agree. I think black may be the way to go, especially if you do a chrome delete. Either that or some flashy, rarer color like red or dark blue. I think a really dark blue would look great on that car.
I like the uniqueness to it. Sure the stock colors look nice, but everybody has that. You got a special version that nobody has. I like it. I’m glad you didn’t go with something that doesn’t match the car like red.
Lol bro paid for his car to look like my mom's [luggage set](https://www.ebay.com/itm/126194632140?chn=ps&srsltid=AfmBOooCq_Zeq6I5LnxL1eITB-zLEmNeokeSuIDfOYKfq3h6g5M36O04LeI)
Are they really? That's pretty dope! I want to get 11th gen wheels on my Si eventually, maybe once the craze around them die down so they're not stolen as often
You can check the back of the wheel for the stamp. Honda has used Enkei for a lot of their alloy wheels for a long time. I'm pretty sure yours are too, but I'm not 100% sure.
Right? Terrific price and they came out really well imo. Definitely worth the money. Tbh I already have a budget for wheels, just no space to store the stocks and don't wanna hassle with selling them either at this time 😅 this felt like a good compromise.
I hear ya there. I had my stocks stored in my garage for years (2015 CRV EXL) after I took them off 3 days after buying the car new. I recently got a storage unit for some excess crap I have and the stocks are now stored in there. When I trade this car in sometime in the future, I'll have the stocks put back on, and they are basically brand new.
Those will give you plenty of time to come up with a plan. In the meantime...enjoy!
It is your car, you love it, that is all that matters. I personally liked the stock wheels, but I would not give a damn what other people thought when choosing how to style my car. Nice job on the powder coat.
I’m a fan of the silver look. On my 94 civic every after market wheel I get I strip the paint down to the metal and just polish it I love the raw metal silver look
Would have looked better all black, but it really makes the wheel look like a completely different wheel since you can now see the details at the back that was previously hidden by the black paint
Can you post more pictures from afar? You’ve only posted one picture of the wheel. I think the whole look would probably look better. It doesn’t look bad… but I think it’ll look more cohesive if we got a full picture of the side of the car
I like the gunmetal finish all around better. Looks good OP. If you don’t mind me asking how much did this run you? I’m looking to do the same on my OEM 02 Tacoma wheels.
Thank you, I posted better pictures on this same subreddit if you want a better look 😎
Price was $85/wheel w/ one year warranty for repairs. Deal was too good to pass up
I hope not, I wanted to buy 11th gen stocks after finding a lot of affordable ones on FB marketplace, until I was made aware that the cheap prices indicates that they're stolen :/
In my head I was thinking like, a stock, 5 spoke Honda wheel, and that's what I wanted for color. Originally I made a post debating colors (black or bronze) and I ended up not liking either. Black is too bland and played out imo, and bronze would've looked awesome in a different color car (mine's the metallic gray).
I love the stock look too but wow I really like the powder coating too! Nice!
Tbh idk what powder coating is, gotta google it now haha. Thanks for giving me something to do for the next 30 minutes
tbh. not my thing, but as long as you like how it looks, i cant really say anything, im glad whoever you went with did it well because it actually looks like a well done job.
I honestly love this idea. I have a set of those in the garage, I always hated they way they looked.
I would like to see you swap out the center caps for some grey ones.
Maybe it’s the contrast of the gray caliper/bracket behind the wheel that makes the powder coat look off? I’d say black or bronze on the caliper would take away from the wheel being silver, and then another component right behind it being almost the same tone
Fuck the haters. This looks way better than stock. It’s not great, but it’s different, which is better. I hate black wheels because you lose all contrast. I kinda like black with a silver or machined lip on Porsches and other high end vehicles, but yeah, major upgrade in my opinion.
Don’t listen to people OP. I think it looks wonderful. I’m a silver shill, and I absolutely despise the two tone look manufacturers are going for nowadays. I may have just gone with aftermarket wheels, but it might have looked bad on a stock civic so I think you made a good choice.
might look better with center caps off 06-11 civic alloy wheels, i think the black center cap contrasts a little too much but i like it, I never cared for black wheels
F the haters, Honda's obsession with two tone wheels is terrible. Their accessory wheels are a little better, I got the new bronze CR-V wheels on my Element.
*I actually*
*Really like them, wouldnt have*
*Thought it would look good*

Well, OP, I think these look better than stock. I'm just not a fan of the black and silver that's become so common. I appreciate mods that retain enough of the OE look to pass but display the owners own taste.
I appreciate the OEM. I appreciate the effort. I believe the contrast of the black balanced it out for me. No big deal. Nice work.
There's just something about it that I never liked, and after having it for almost 6 years I wanted a change. The black and silver look on the same year Accords are badass though. That contrast I like.

Dude Forreal I dislike two tone wheels a lot
Totally agree, gloss black/raw machined looks like every cheap knock-off wheel in the back of automotive magazines.
I think it's really well done....but I don't like it at all. Before looked better
Haha appreciate the honesty bud thank you
Hey man, no problem. I thought it was fair to appreciate a work well executed vs personal taste
I love it...but don't love it. Hard to explain... Like the other poster said, they look great, but to me, they look like great lower end OEMs. I'm torn brother🍻 I just put those rim's on our HR-V. Stock civic rims are like the most atrocious looking rims ever ? What do u smoke
Smoke free is the way to be
The color is fine I just it’s the style of the wheels that make it look odd. Honda pretty much designed the wheels to be two toned.
I ageee with this, that rim is just Blah to start with, I would have just used those For winters and bought another OEM Honda wheel
That would be a good idea, but we don't really get winter in SoCal
okay Im high asf and this helped me 😂, I was like it doesn’t look bad but smth’s off
Stock was better
Why
It's well made. I absolutely hate it. Something about it screams plastic wheelcover to me...
you know the 2023 crv's wheel always struck me as "there's something I don't like about this" and now I know why. it's def the shade of color Honda uses, "plastic gray"
think looked better before
That's just like, your opinion man
really? wow i didn't realize ... lol
Humans enjoying conversations on Reddit? Unheard of
Well that's a freebie!
Ah, there's the downvotes
Walter, you’re not wrong, you’re just an asshole
I love your response I read it in the voice of shaggy from scooby doo

I gotta say I agree, looks kinda boring now.
Agree
That looks so good my dude
Thanks man! Appreciate that
Looks very clean, never was a fan of the black accents on the stock rims, this is how they shoulda looked imo. I feel like the people that don’t like it are probably just so used to seeing the stock 2 tone rims now. This looks way better imo
Why? Looks like plastic hub caps. Just why? You paid for that? Respect.
Came to say the same, while the work is good no doubt, they look like cheap hubcaps now. As long as OP like em that's all that matters
> why? You *paid* for that? FTFY. Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in: * Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.* * *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! Think you gotta get the center cap grey too.
I actually liked the contrast! Small bit of black.
That's cool. That black and machined look seems odd on some of the Hondas. Where did you get this done ? Or DIY?
I agree, I only like that look on the 2018+ Accords. I got it done locally at a shop with a warranty.
I don't know why people are complaining... The black inners & machined faces were tired looking when they were brand new. Solid idea
I don’t necessarily like the colour OP went with, but I gotta agree, machined/black look doesn’t look good. Reminds me of every god damn Ram driver that puts rims on their truck, with bald rubber and a monster sticker on the back window
Out of curiosity, what color would you have gone with?
I’m always a fan of a bronzey, or a gunmetal. I do think these look way better than OE, and they were properly done, not just rattle canned
It's funny you mention that, my first post was a question in regards to color: black or bronze! And overwhelming responses to "get new wheels" and "leave em stock" 🙄
I was honestly also thinking this would look good in that hpd bronze
Bronze would have been better. I HATE oem wheels, so I like what you had done. But yeah, I would have gone bronze just so it contrasts with the color of the car.

Thanks man! Definitely feels played out, I'm seeing a lot of new cars with two tones, not just Honda's
I back this. Really can't stand two-tone wheels.
Me and you both
Reminds me of 8th gen si wheels
Yes, definitely. Good set of wheels!
I’m a big fan of silver wheels, a dying breed, you get my vote. Excellent job and they look very high quality.
I like the uniqueness to it. Sure the stock colors look nice, but everybody has that. You got a special version that nobody has. I like it. I’m glad you didn’t go with something that doesn’t match the car like red.
Thank you! They're definitely different
They look great, idk why there are so many haters this is like the most inoffensive thing ever lol
Lmao that is hideous
As long as he likes it
I do! Don't want to shell out for new wheels, this'll do in the meantime while I save up!
How much did it cost to paint the wheels?
I hope he does I'm sure it wasn't cheap
Not as hideous as YO MOMMA sorry that was mean
Lol bro paid for his car to look like my mom's [luggage set](https://www.ebay.com/itm/126194632140?chn=ps&srsltid=AfmBOooCq_Zeq6I5LnxL1eITB-zLEmNeokeSuIDfOYKfq3h6g5M36O04LeI)
Those are sick ass wheels foo
Nah that’s fucked 😭
reminds me of some AP2 oem wheels
Those and Enkeis were inspiration tbh lol thank you!
Your wheels are made by Enkei though.
I'll definitely take a look and find out thanks for the info
Looks horrible.
I think they look nice either way. But that’s definitely different. It’s nice. I like it.
Thank you! I'm digging them!
Yeah looks pretty cool. You should have taken a shot of the car a bit further back to get the entire overall look.
I will be posting more photos tomorrow! Had people over so didn't have enough time today
I likeee
How much did it cost to do them? Was thinking of getting mine powered coated into matte black.
$85/wheel + warranty, new shop close by in LA
wait 85? is that considered cheap or expensive? it's def a lot cheaper than I thought
Definitely on the cheaper end, most shops average $5-700/sets
yea, I really like how that came out
How much did you pay? I'm thinking of getting my OEM rims painted in black.
New shop in my area, $85/wheel w/ one year warranty. If you're within their radius they'll come to you for touch ups. Harbor City, CA.
That's a great price! Those will do you good until you can save up for those aftermarket wheels.
When I trade this car in sometime in the future, I'll have the stocks put back on, and they are basically brand new. Those will give you plenty of time to come up with a plan. Think they look great. Make sure you post full pics later
Thank you! I'll be posting more photos tomorrow, didn't have time today
Wow. Huge difference
wow i have to say i love the way it looks! never was a fan of the black
Much better power coated imo. Great job
I like them, would have preferred a darker silver / grey on my own though
I've always thought these two tones made the wheels look cheap. Great job ! Looks great imo
Would have looked better all black, but it really makes the wheel look like a completely different wheel since you can now see the details at the back that was previously hidden by the black paint
Personally i would’ve powdercoated them black but this fits the silver
I like this actually
Tbh i like the after far more real nice
Wow, that looks great dude. Nice finish, love the OEM!
Thank you! I miss the OEM gen 8 Si wheels
Congrats on making it worse. But seriously, now they look like NPC wheels. Stock looks 100x better.
I wanna see it from further away
Honestly liked the before picture better
It looks great!
I like it. The two tone black/silver look is so overdone now and seeing a wheel not look like that is refreshing.
Looks like hubcaps. Another color that didn’t look like plastic would be better I think.
I’m not a big fan of the color but great job on the coating
How do you not regret this? Lol
Because I chose it...? Like, what lmao
Can you post more pictures from afar? You’ve only posted one picture of the wheel. I think the whole look would probably look better. It doesn’t look bad… but I think it’ll look more cohesive if we got a full picture of the side of the car
The two tone wheels are super ugly. These turned out great.
Stock was way better now it just looks like any soccer mom car
Uhh...
they look awful
It kinda looks like plastic hubcaps
Maybe I’m just missing older-style silver chrome/matte wheels, but I think these look GREAT!
Thank you, I posted better pictures yesterday on this sub if you wanna get a better look. Didn't get as much traction as this post though lol
Saw them, looking good. And, well, your car your taste. Glad you went for these!
Personally I hate the original rims with that black so I find this to be better but i see most people don’t lol
It started off strong with positive comments, and it's been transitioning the other way, but I dig em!
And that’s all that matters!
Looks great!
Thank you! Posted better pictures on this same subreddit too if you want a better look
I like the gunmetal finish all around better. Looks good OP. If you don’t mind me asking how much did this run you? I’m looking to do the same on my OEM 02 Tacoma wheels.
Thank you, I posted better pictures on this same subreddit if you want a better look 😎 Price was $85/wheel w/ one year warranty for repairs. Deal was too good to pass up
Looks like shit my man
Aww, TYSM 🥺
That looks a lot better
I agree 👍🏽
It looked better before.
stolen in 3....
I hope not, I wanted to buy 11th gen stocks after finding a lot of affordable ones on FB marketplace, until I was made aware that the cheap prices indicates that they're stolen :/
Looks oddly good!
Thank you!

In my head I was thinking like, a stock, 5 spoke Honda wheel, and that's what I wanted for color. Originally I made a post debating colors (black or bronze) and I ended up not liking either. Eons better. Never liked the machined with gloss black.
Same! Only like the accord with that set up
I love the stock look too but wow I really like the powder coating too! Nice! Tbh idk what powder coating is, gotta google it now haha. Thanks for giving me something to do for the next 30 minutes
looks good, the black/ mirror face wheels were a fad and needs to end.
Thank you! Honestly same, been seeing it on so many cars and I'm over it
It looks like little legs and the H is the hip.
Looks so much better, I can’t stand the diamond cut / black and silver wheels on any car, they look like hubcaps.
tbh. not my thing, but as long as you like how it looks, i cant really say anything, im glad whoever you went with did it well because it actually looks like a well done job.
Looks better.
honestly major improvement! i always find machined face wheels to be way overstated/too much for just basic cars
I honestly love this idea. I have a set of those in the garage, I always hated they way they looked. I would like to see you swap out the center caps for some grey ones.
Now it looks basic good job
Gloss black or new civic wheels woulda looked good, grey on grey just throws it off, but do look nice on any other color car
Nice! I feel like the oem silver center caps would set them off even more.
Maybe it’s the contrast of the gray caliper/bracket behind the wheel that makes the powder coat look off? I’d say black or bronze on the caliper would take away from the wheel being silver, and then another component right behind it being almost the same tone
Somehow looks worse
OEM looks much better sorry

Don’t listen to people OP. I think it looks wonderful. I’m a silver shill, and I absolutely despise the two tone look manufacturers are going for nowadays. I may have just gone with aftermarket wheels, but it might have looked bad on a stock civic so I think you made a good choice.
Those look so much better than stock well done
ehhhhh i mean it’s done well but now they just look like hub caps 💀
Looks way better!
to be honest. tasteful, i like it
Everyone saying it looked better stock but damn I think it came out great. I've never seen these wheels single toned and it looks great.
Looks good—people are just used to stock
digging it. would’ve gone for a darker silver but looks pretty good
Damn. Why’d you do that?
Those look really good! Show us a far away picture with the whole car!
Thank you, the full pictures are posted on r/Honda and r/Civic
I would kill to have the wheels you originally had.
Hopefully you don't kill anyone, I've found a bunch on FB marketplace for like $4-700 the set of these lol
Silver somehow looks more base model than the two tone. Appreciate the effort but it’s going a step back for me. Forget about it cuz.
The auto zone tire shine spray really ties this together.
Right? I need to keep some on hand for maintenance.
Fucking despise the 2-tones on my 2019 touring. This would be ideal. Looks great!
Unlike most of the others, I like it! How much did it cost (roughly)?
Stock > After
Looks like you got steelies and hub caps now
This looks real nice
Thank you, posted better pictures already on this same subreddit if you want a better look 😎
might look better with center caps off 06-11 civic alloy wheels, i think the black center cap contrasts a little too much but i like it, I never cared for black wheels
F the haters, Honda's obsession with two tone wheels is terrible. Their accessory wheels are a little better, I got the new bronze CR-V wheels on my Element.
My 2022 has so many scrapes from hitting the curves😂 I will look into something like this. Looks great!👍🏼
I like it! It reminds me of the rims I had on my old 2004 accord EX.
I like it
Can we see a further out pic? I am very into this
I actually really like them, wouldnt have thought it would look good

Solid job, actually improved in my opinion
Looks good. Machine cut wheels are a disaster waiting to happen anyways. Planning to powder coat mine when the clear coat inevitably fails
Well, OP, I think these look better than stock. I'm just not a fan of the black and silver that's become so common. I appreciate mods that retain enough of the OE look to pass but display the owners own taste.
The powder coated not terrible looking. Do you have a picture of the entire side of car with the coated rims?
