Probably classic honda 50 horizontal motor mounts. Two bolts and they old motor comes out and new 150cc pit bike race engine goes in.

definitely, death trap collectors item. i think the fact quite a few people died on them makes them more collectable. now i realise people die on other motorbikes and vehicles too, but this one was special... not like the others you might say...

Yea they were banned here for awhile. Stopped producing them a long time ago but great on farms and still collectible.

Yep. US government was most likely going to ban them anyways, but the manufacturers collectively agreed to stop making them before the government ban could take place. If they didn't put a solid axle under these, they would be a *lot* more stable. Still wouldn't be a safe machine by any stretch though.

Technically no longer banned as it only lasted 10 years and lapsed in 1997. They just don’t sell them here anymore
