I ain't seen no leaks, but if I had to guess, Firefly will be 2.3 or 2.4. Well, I think so. I am personally not pulling her since all my economy are going for Sparkle, but she does have a lot of argument : Gameplay, animation and all. She's a marvellous support for Kafka and a good unit in general. A really good match for Kafka main if they want even more damage but she's already really strong.

If I had more pulls, I would get her. The reality is that I need to decide between Sparkle and BS. In that situation Sparkle for me is 10/10 (monoQ) and Black Swan like 7/10 (Kafka). -> I also just pulled Kafka, it cost me everything (150 pulls)
I might get her on a future rerun tho, but considering the stacked patches with constant great units. It's gonna be hard to hold onto my jades.
I spent a similar number of pulls on Kafka when she first ran, and given how long I've been wanting another five-star DoT unit to unlock her full potential, it feels like not getting Black Swan would be undermining that investment.

Thats weird. Plenty of great 4 stars. Tingyun is basically an honorary 5 star with how splashable she is and Lynx outperforms bailu against CC happy enemies.

Ooh thafs easy. Asta is the poor man's Ruan Mei with more speed buffing. Pela is aoe defense debuffing and can sub dps is built right.
Serval can sub dps as well while being skill point positive.
Guinaifen is good, but needs a lot of commitment, relics, and eidolons so I honestly wouldn't recommend her.
I wouldn't recommend yukong either cause she requires speed tuning and has a high skill floor. As much as I like Yukong I personally don't like characters who need to be crafted to fit specific comps.
Herta isn't really that good, but Pure Fiction as a mode is basically suited for her so she excels there.
You can use Yukong just fine without E6. E6 just makes it so that you can use her without perfect speed tuning and managing the Skill Point economy.
So its substantially easier to use her at e6, it isn't required. I was using her with Bronya and Cooler Dan, I'd use bronya to manipulate the action order for the speed sync, and then I'd generate up to 5sp, Yukong Skill, Bronya advance foreward dan, and blow up the enemy.
I mean tbf it’s the same for herta as it is for himeko. They are both good but there wasn’t really content suited for them. Memes aside herta is good just until recently there wasn’t content were she excelled then you have people like Arlan I love the man I really do but even if you have e6 with the best relic luck I’ve ever seen he’s still bad compared to others
I left out Himeko for two reasons. He was asking about 4 stars and oddly enough, Himeko is actually decent now. The Follow up atk set enables her greatly. Against enemies that spawn a lot of breakable ads she has some good dmg and is good at clearing. She absolutely shreds that IPC robot that summons flame and ice weak goons.
As someone who lost a 50/50 to her I was glad to have her before Pure Fiction dropped.(So that just made it icing on the cake)
Then I take into account what I saw of the promo stuff she will be feasting in Penacony lot of fire weak enemies.
Side Note, Arlan was the first 4 star I pulled. Then I looked at his abilities in disbelief and started leveling my free Serval lol.
She’s not amazing for MoC on her own. She can work, but to 3 star MoC12 you’d need high investment, a E4 Sampo at least and preferably also Ruan Mei. Of course this all depends on how quickly your other team goes through it, if your other team clears it super fast already you won’t have much trouble and during MoCs that have DoT buffs BS can probably hyper carry
For pure fiction and SU tho, she’s amazing. Black Swan is going to be without a doubt the best DoT character for pure fiction, better than Kafka. I don’t think her full kit is out so I won’t mention leaks on how that works, but I will say that Black Swan has methods to easily apply her DoT to everyone and make it deal AoE damage like you see it do in the gameplay footage from the 2.0 stream. So not only will she be able to easily apply her DoT to all enemies in PF, when they take damage it’ll also hurt the enemies around them. In SU she’s gonna be great too for similar, but different reasons
If building a DoT team is something you’re interested in and you feel comfortable with your current teams, would recommend getting her
The enemy needs to take action for her kit to do damage and with Kafka, that damage can happen without waiting. Like welt would be horrible with bs because he slows enemies down. She needs enemies to take consistent turns constantly. But with Kafka she doesn't need that.
If I didn't have Kafka, BS would be an ez skip. But that's just me. Despite how hot she is, I'd skip.

My best lightning is an E2 sevral and didn't even buold her properly. And literally my inly lightning I tried building so it's a big problem for me. Meanwhile got xueyi and qinwue E2 which both are real good for me.

In term of long time values, any Harmony characters basically are really good as you can put Sparkle in literally any team comps even if it's not mono quantum team or SP hungry DPS. Erudition however, seems have their use in some contents & useful against multiple enemies. If you want lightning you better get Kafka or Acheron methinks.
I would say that Sparkle is better in general. If you have DHIL or wanna use Qing Que or even your Xueyi. Sparkle literally designed for them. But she can in any team really even with future Acheron & let you taste Bronyaesque move if you don't have Bronya yet. Fyi Sparkle advance forward only about 50% while Bronya 100%. Bronya still top tier Harmony & advance forward is just broken mechanic in rpg in general.
The answer for this kind of question is: depends on your current roster, playstyle, your favoritism, & your wallet (if you're whale).
TBF even with multiple enemies, JY can just use his ult and skill to clean up all the adds and let his LL focus solely on the tanky elites. And this trend is still working in every iteration of the highest MoC floor atm
That would only work if Sparkle has double the carry's speed, which is nigh unreachable even for slow (100 SPD) carries, whereas Bronya can support carries at 134 threshold or even propel them to 161 if she's E2. 50% advance is significantly weaker than 100% advance if both are used optimally.
Sparkles gimmick is being your dps' speed boots. 50% is enough for any dps at their base speed to act as frequently as her. Thats why getting her to 161 spd is your main priority.
This matters bc using spd boots on your dps is actively nerfing their damage.
Well yeah, but the benefit you're going to get from switching SPD boots to ATK boots is obviously much less than the benefit you're going to get from acting twice every turn while having 161 effective speed.
I rate Harmos but kinda disagree. Sparkle seems to be a greedy comp enabler. Two greedy skill point using carries no problem. She seems awful for a hypercarry who doesn't need to spam skill points like Luis, blade, or even Seele since you want to use basics sometimes for the AA.
Seele's basics would be worthless with Sparkle because she drags her along with superior speed anyway. She's also pretty SP-intensive when you get to use her extra turn.

That is true in general, but not if someone (in this case Sparkle) is going to turn advance Seele anyway. In such case the only thing you're getting is two skill points and you're going to have plenty of those with Sparkle either way.

She's perfectly suited for this, SP generation is just one part of her kit, not her only gimmick. Seele can stack Sparkle's talent decently fast with resets, she benefits from Crit DMG like any other traditional carry and, unlike Bronya, Sparkle is not severely limiting her team options by being an SP black hole.
Also, why would you want to run DHIL in a dual carry comp if hypercarry comp is easier to build and stronger?
Hyper carry comp is stronger than dual carry comp, currently.
No team can sustain say both DHIL and Ratio without one of them using basic attack or unenhanced basics.
Sparkle changes this.
Also you forget Sparkle action advances 50% and does not cleanse debuffs like Bronya. Thats a big deal. Carries don't stack effect res so being able to cleanse them of freeze, imprison, etc is very high value.
SP generation is the meat and potoatoes of her kit. If you're using her in comps where those extra skill points are going unused you'd get better mileage from Bronya. If you want team wide buffing you'd get better mileage from Ruan Mei. Her main strength is that comps that were largely unfeasible like Seele + QQ now become not just possible but very strong.

Bronya has an issue of being *too* SP-hungry, to a point where even some hypercarry comps can't handle her SP consumption, not to mention that regardless of what percentage of Sparkle's kit you're efficiently using, she might just straight up provide higher numerical values.

We'll see about that. I'm pretty sure that both hypercarry Seele and hypercarry QQ with Sparkle are going to be better than dual carry with Seele and QQ.
Personally I've never found Bronya SP hungry. With proper speed and relics shes able to get in an auto attack and use her skill on someone once per turn so her SP costs basically pay for themselves. Hell you end up positive if you have E1, but I don't even consider that in my rating of her.
We'll see indeed. A side note though, Don't just think about it in terms of pure damage output. For instance off the top of my head Seele and QQ are great against the bugs that hypercarry Seele struggles with.
Not to move the goalpost, but to highlight the flexibility of what comps Sparkle enables.
Sparkle isn't Bronya powercreep, she's a sidegrade with some meaningfully different uses that enables and enhances different types of teams like Ruan Mei does. She is also very universal like RM.
She'd be a great choice. I recommend her especially because Sampo and Qinqque are on her banner, and you'll need Sampo at E4+ to use with Black Swan and QQ gets significantly better at E4+. Sparkle is also insane for QQ.

Jing Yuan is great, especially for Pure Fiction. People were calling him bad even back when he literally had the fastest clears because they don't know how to play him and jumped on the bandwagon. He's definitely not as strong as monsters like Jingliu or Imbibitor Lunae in MoC, but he's still great and better in Pure Fiction.
That said, he's a bad choice if you just want a lightning DPS.
Acheron, the Raiden Mei expy, is gonna be in the patch after and, well... she's Raiden Mei. She's most likely going to be broken as hell. Easily better than JY.

You can use Sampo to cover wind for now. Picking between the two, I’d say just go for who you feel playing with rather than following the meta. In a logical sense, Sparkle should be prioritized since supports have much longer/flexible use than a DPS. However, the DPS were talking about here is a Raiden expy so…just go with your gut

Your best move would easily be Kafka then Sparkle if you're interested in DoT playstyle.
Kafka is key to DoT teams and no one knows how long it'll take for her second rerun, while Black Swan's first rerun will come around in a few months. Sparkle, besides her own merits, is even better for you because you don't have Bronya.
Even if you can't guarantee Sparkle (you should be able to unless you've completely cleared SU), you'll most likely get Sampo Eidolons, and he's great with Kafka and can cover wind. Kafka would of course cover lightning. QQ Eidolons are perfect too.
If you're not interested in DoT teams, then get Sparkle and Acheron. She'll almost definitely be way stronger than Kafka (at least without Swan, who you can get on her rerun).

Another thing worth considering is that Kafka will literally only gain value over time. She's very resilient to powercreep because she's an enabler. Even if they make another 5-star DoT detonator, you could literally just use em WITH Kafka and a DoT applicator like Swan unless they straight up have anti-synergy with Kafka.
That's all just account value/meta stuff tho. If you personally want Swan, Sparkle, or Acheron more for design, personality, story, animations, gameplay, etc., then go for them instead.
**Sparkle 100%**, she will enable entire new team comps with her SP mechanic especially as new characters come out. As someone who has JingYuan since his first banner he under performs in a number of ways. Back loaded damage that is vulnerable to CC, random target selection of his follow up and often just too slow (thunder lord) to have meaningful impact per cycle. Now I know someone might be itching to point to their cracked out E6 JingYuan with his signature LC but pound for pound if someone is F2P or BP only they're better of pulling for another 5 star.
I ended up passing on Kafka when they announced Daniel in 2.0. So I decided against a DoT team since I have been building a follow up team anyway (only so many jades 😭). I don’t think she will be worth it without Kafka.
Preface: In CN people have been saying she bad because she is no longer the partner in crime for Kafka anymore since x.3
Imo she is still good, most likely a Ruan Mei situation where she is gonna get very poor review on day 1, then do a 180 on day 3/4 because -def + dot + nuke ult is just such a solid kit that I don't see a world where she turns out to be a flop, granted the difference between her and Ruan Mei is simulated universe, but in return she got a much more solid kit.
With that said, I still wouldn't recommend skipping Sparkle for her, not to say she is worse, but because Sparkle's kit is potentially going to change how an entire comp works as she is the first ever 5 star skill point amplifier. For a frame of reference, her existence would mean DHil E2 now suddenly seems less game changing now with her in the team (granted she is at least 10% less effective on non-quantum comps).
For me no, DoT playstyle does seem interesting but dear god I don't want to pull for every damn DoT character no matter how hot they are.
Safest bet rn for account building are the cookie cutter hypercarry comps because you can have more uses for them...like wtf am I gonna use Sampo or Black Swan for unless with Kafka...
DoT damage is just not for me, it may become like in genshin where it's just OP and usable for every content but I still wouldn't want to use it.

Black Swan is going to be without a doubt the best DoT character for pure fiction, better than Kafka. I don’t think her full kit is out so I won’t mention leaks on how that works, but I will say that Black Swan has methods to easily apply her DoT to everyone and make it deal AoE damage like you see it do in the gameplay footage from the 2.0 stream. So not only will she be able to easily apply her DoT to all enemies in PF, when they take damage it’ll also hurt the enemies around them. In SU she’s gonna be great too for similar, but different reasons If building a DoT team is something you’re interested in and you feel comfortable with your current teams, would recommend getting her
The enemy needs to take action for her kit to do damage and with Kafka, that damage can happen without waiting. Like welt would be horrible with bs because he slows enemies down. She needs enemies to take consistent turns constantly. But with Kafka she doesn't need that. If I didn't have Kafka, BS would be an ez skip. But that's just me. Despite how hot she is, I'd skip.

Question: should I get sparkle or jing yuan after bs? My best lightning is an E2 sevral and didn't even buold her properly. And literally my inly lightning I tried building so it's a big problem for me. Meanwhile got xueyi and qinwue E2 which both are real good for me. But I heard sparkle will be a better bronya while I don't have a bronya. And heard jing yuan is bad So should I get jing yuan or sparkle?
In term of long time values, any Harmony characters basically are really good as you can put Sparkle in literally any team comps even if it's not mono quantum team or SP hungry DPS. Erudition however, seems have their use in some contents & useful against multiple enemies. If you want lightning you better get Kafka or Acheron methinks. I would say that Sparkle is better in general. If you have DHIL or wanna use Qing Que or even your Xueyi. Sparkle literally designed for them. But she can in any team really even with future Acheron & let you taste Bronyaesque move if you don't have Bronya yet. Fyi Sparkle advance forward only about 50% while Bronya 100%. Bronya still top tier Harmony & advance forward is just broken mechanic in rpg in general. The answer for this kind of question is: depends on your current roster, playstyle, your favoritism, & your wallet (if you're whale).
Although erudition likes multiple enemies, JY feels better against fewer enemies to not spread LL attacks too much
TBF even with multiple enemies, JY can just use his ult and skill to clean up all the adds and let his LL focus solely on the tanky elites. And this trend is still working in every iteration of the highest MoC floor atm
With good speedtuning sparkles 50% advance forward works the same as bronya's. Feel like a lot of people dont realize this.
That would only work if Sparkle has double the carry's speed, which is nigh unreachable even for slow (100 SPD) carries, whereas Bronya can support carries at 134 threshold or even propel them to 161 if she's E2. 50% advance is significantly weaker than 100% advance if both are used optimally.
Sparkles gimmick is being your dps' speed boots. 50% is enough for any dps at their base speed to act as frequently as her. Thats why getting her to 161 spd is your main priority. This matters bc using spd boots on your dps is actively nerfing their damage.
Well yeah, but the benefit you're going to get from switching SPD boots to ATK boots is obviously much less than the benefit you're going to get from acting twice every turn while having 161 effective speed.
I rate Harmos but kinda disagree. Sparkle seems to be a greedy comp enabler. Two greedy skill point using carries no problem. She seems awful for a hypercarry who doesn't need to spam skill points like Luis, blade, or even Seele since you want to use basics sometimes for the AA.
Seele's basics would be worthless with Sparkle because she drags her along with superior speed anyway. She's also pretty SP-intensive when you get to use her extra turn.

On turns where her speed debuffing isn't running out basic attack action advance is basically free real estate. To use Sparkle like that would be trying to use her as Bronya, which is fine I guess if you don't have her. I just feel like thats not what shes suited for. What shes suited for is making space for cooler daniel's greedy ass to have another dmg dealer next to him.

Seele can stack Sparkle's talent decently fast with resets, she benefits from Crit DMG like any other traditional carry and, unlike Bronya, Sparkle is not severely limiting her team options by being an SP black hole. Also, why would you want to run DHIL in a dual carry comp if hypercarry comp is easier to build and stronger?
Hyper carry comp is stronger than dual carry comp, currently. No team can sustain say both DHIL and Ratio without one of them using basic attack or unenhanced basics. Sparkle changes this. Also you forget Sparkle action advances 50% and does not cleanse debuffs like Bronya. Thats a big deal. Carries don't stack effect res so being able to cleanse them of freeze, imprison, etc is very high value. SP generation is the meat and potoatoes of her kit. If you're using her in comps where those extra skill points are going unused you'd get better mileage from Bronya. If you want team wide buffing you'd get better mileage from Ruan Mei. Her main strength is that comps that were largely unfeasible like Seele + QQ now become not just possible but very strong.

Personally I've never found Bronya SP hungry. With proper speed and relics shes able to get in an auto attack and use her skill on someone once per turn so her SP costs basically pay for themselves. Hell you end up positive if you have E1, but I don't even consider that in my rating of her. We'll see indeed. A side note though, Don't just think about it in terms of pure damage output. For instance off the top of my head Seele and QQ are great against the bugs that hypercarry Seele struggles with. Not to move the goalpost, but to highlight the flexibility of what comps Sparkle enables.

Sparkle isn't Bronya powercreep, she's a sidegrade with some meaningfully different uses that enables and enhances different types of teams like Ruan Mei does. She is also very universal like RM. She'd be a great choice. I recommend her especially because Sampo and Qinqque are on her banner, and you'll need Sampo at E4+ to use with Black Swan and QQ gets significantly better at E4+. Sparkle is also insane for QQ. **Get Sparkle.** Jing Yuan is great, especially for Pure Fiction. People were calling him bad even back when he literally had the fastest clears because they don't know how to play him and jumped on the bandwagon. He's definitely not as strong as monsters like Jingliu or Imbibitor Lunae in MoC, but he's still great and better in Pure Fiction. That said, he's a bad choice if you just want a lightning DPS. Acheron, the Raiden Mei expy, is gonna be in the patch after and, well... she's Raiden Mei. She's most likely going to be broken as hell. You can use Sampo to cover wind for now. Picking between the two, I’d say just go for who you feel playing with rather than following the meta. In a logical sense, Sparkle should be prioritized since supports have much longer/flexible use than a DPS. However, the DPS were talking about here is a Raiden expy so…just go with your gut
Speaking purely from an account value/meta perspective? Your best move would easily be Kafka then Sparkle if you're interested in DoT playstyle. Kafka is key to DoT teams and no one knows how long it'll take for her second rerun, while Black Swan's first rerun will come around in a few months. Sparkle, besides her own merits, is even better for you because you don't have Bronya. Even if you can't guarantee Sparkle (you should be able to unless you've completely cleared SU), you'll most likely get Sampo Eidolons, and he's great with Kafka and can cover wind. Kafka would of course cover lightning. QQ Eidolons are perfect too. If you're not interested in DoT teams, then get Sparkle and Acheron. She'll almost definitely be way stronger than Kafka (at least without Swan, who you can get on her rerun).

👍 Another thing worth considering is that Kafka will literally only gain value over time. She's very resilient to powercreep because she's an enabler. Even if they make another 5-star DoT detonator, you could literally just use em WITH Kafka and a DoT applicator like Swan unless they straight up have anti-synergy with Kafka. That's all just account value/meta stuff tho. If you personally want Swan, Sparkle, or Acheron more for design, personality, story, animations, gameplay, etc., then go for them instead.
**Sparkle 100%**, she will enable entire new team comps with her SP mechanic especially as new characters come out. As someone who has JingYuan since his first banner he under performs in a number of ways. Back loaded damage that is vulnerable to CC, random target selection of his follow up and often just too slow (thunder lord) to have meaningful impact per cycle. Now I know someone might be itching to point to their cracked out E6 JingYuan with his signature LC but pound for pound if someone is F2P or BP only they're better of pulling for another 5 star.

I ended up passing on Kafka when they announced Daniel in 2.0. So I decided against a DoT team since I have been building a follow up team anyway (only so many jades 😭). I don’t think she will be worth it without Kafka.

Preface: In CN people have been saying she bad because she is no longer the partner in crime for Kafka anymore since x.3 Imo she is still good, most likely a Ruan Mei situation where she is gonna get very poor review on day 1, then do a 180 on day 3/4 because -def + dot + nuke ult is just such a solid kit that I don't see a world where she turns out to be a flop, granted the difference between her and Ruan Mei is simulated universe, but in return she got a much more solid kit. With that said, I still wouldn't recommend skipping Sparkle for her, not to say she is worse, but because Sparkle's kit is potentially going to change how an entire comp works as she is the first ever 5 star skill point amplifier. For a frame of reference, her existence would mean DHil E2 now suddenly seems less game changing now with her in the team (granted she is at least 10% less effective on non-quantum comps).

For me no, DoT playstyle does seem interesting but dear god I don't want to pull for every damn DoT character no matter how hot they are. Safest bet rn for account building are the cookie cutter hypercarry comps because you can have more uses for them...like wtf am I gonna use Sampo or Black Swan for unless with Kafka... DoT damage is just not for me, it may become like in genshin where it's just OP and usable for every content but I still wouldn't want to use it.
