yeah it does, but what is it?
are you just referring to the red text? but I thought the "I killed her" was a reference about something, I'm sure it is or something idk no more
its omori? thats it?
I think they might be referencing a glitch in one game area, there is a certain spot on one of the library's stairs that if you use plunge attack your character instantly dies XD
I’ve heard about that but I was actually talking about >!all the parallels in Ei’s second story quest, which ends in her fighting an undying, emotionless replica of herself that she originally designed to act in her behalf, after realizing that she’s been evading her responsibilities all this time. Note that Ei’s backstory is that of a hikkikomori who retreated to her own world after her older sister died.!<
There's a glitch on one of the Mondstadts library stairs that insta kills your character, some joke it's like Omori because of the entire death by stairs thing. You can find it by searching Genshin impact library stairs
How is it that I've been playing the game for 3 years and I'm only finding this out now
Wtf??? They made a staircase death Omori easter egg in Genshin?? 💀💀
All it takes is one plunge attack for it to 1-shot you. Truly a most formidable final boss. Tsaritsa who?? Dainsleif who?? Celestia who???
I only know library stairs
I just did Quinn's quest, so for a few minutes I was confused to why a diary that appears to be written from her sister was in the dreamscape.
>! I finished that quest thinking that quinn was paralysed in reality by alley pushing her down the stairs. However alley actually killed her sister and pretends to be her in the dreamscape !<
It’s actually also a reference to a 2.0 side quest in Penacony, the one about the two sisters… one is alive and well in the real world and is the one who welcomes you to the Hotel at the beginning of the arc, the other works in the Dreamscape as a saleswoman.
By playing their quest, you find out the saleswoman is actually dead and the other gal accidentally pushed her down the stairs during an argument, and kept her alive in the dream to ease her guilt.
… I don’t know if this is common knowledge so I fully expect someone to say woooosh now
Edit: seems like this can be found next to the saleswoman in the Dreamscape, it kinda confirms my theory
Yes, this is certainly *Something* alright...

Seeing as how they blatantly referenced it in Genshin as well, some writer at Mihoyo’s definitely a fan of the game.
Huh? Referenced what?
Omori.
Thank you
when? its been long time since i played it.

Get Mari’d
Where this
It 's located just nearby NPC named Quinn on Golden Hour, then you must be found this diary.
Also, you can talk to Quinn to receive a quick clockwork mission.

That was the first clockwork mission I did and I have to say it really set the tone for them going forward lol
At this point I think it might be morally better to not fix the targets emotions. I feel sorry for the shop keeper whose trauma i have unrepressed.

Hm.....that one funny story about someone named Sunny....
Omori is one of my favorite games that I refuse to ever play again. Goddamn sobbed in the finale.
*A three legged puppy is not a happy puppy.*
OMORI??? an omori reference???
There's a quest that ties into this
I enjoy the thought that they kept on switching between normal ink and red ink to make sure we understood (Or blood, which is still funny to think of)
wait what is omori and what is the context behind to the omori thing this is trying to reference
Damn that startled me when I realized what it was referencing...
Omori oh shittttttttt
I guess it's time for me to close my eyes, so that I'll be there soon.
What? Closest thing I can think of is Crime and Punishment.
It's an omori reference
