somebody posted a graphic with simulated calculations earlier. e0 clara with yunli's sig was worse than yunli without her sig, which was quite a margin away from yunli with her sig. Is there any TC about Jiaoqiu's LC? On paper it's obviously BiS for the man himself but it should be an upgrade for BS over her EotP in terms of oveerall team DPS (probably still worse than her own LC but that one isn't great for the cook until E2). Sources with numbers would be nice. Depending how they look I'm comtemplating to stop getting FF's LC (got the last copies for S5 MotP and S5 EotP) and save the pulls for Jiaoqiu (which I should come close to guarantee provided 2.4 has the average 90 pulls).

Kinda OT,  I’m surprised people compare JY to Jotaro when they talk about their power level (absurdly strong stands) but don’t mention Naberius Kalego from Iruma kun. Both are voiced by Daisuke Ono, both have lightning stands, and both are among the strongest beings in their respective factions (in Luofu and Babyls).

I want to pull few LCs because I STILL have only S2 Memories of the Past. Im close to pity however. On which banner should I pull to get more worthwhile LC? I have E1 FF and E0 RM. FF have a bit limited access to Aeon, but her LC isnt game changer, while RM often prefers energy LC.

Pull on Firefly's LC, if you get lucky then it's a good addition to her kit. Ruan Mei is fine with Meshing Cogs in that team, her LC is just some nice QOL and a boost to non-break teams

Tried to do a DU run in hopes that I maybe will like it eventually (I didn't), and why does the agro. Feel so bad. I feel like the only reason I was getting Blade to FUA on Cirrus was because I had the shared dmg blessing. Every enemy was attacking Sparkle and Ruan Mei. I think the total of 3 attacks went to Blade himself. Tf is this 😭 edit: to clarify, the aggro also feels bad in PF whenever I play Blade there, but in DU in CIrrus fight specifically the problem is just more obvious because the enemies tend to attack more often and the fight just drags on

God yeah, sometimes I feel like Blade has negative aggro 😭 hoping Yunli's LC keeps the taunt effect solely so that I can force Blade to actually get hit more than the harmonies he's paired with lmao

It seems that we get them from the event up to E3 in 2.4. Then up to E6 in 2.5. At least that's the current assumption, will have to wait until livestream. At the very least she's confirmed to be 100% free, so no gacha like her preservation form

I just completed 2.3 story, my short opinion >!I saw a lot of mixed reviews for this epilogue and I have to agree. I was completely turned off after the whole negotiation part (the moment Himeko walked in and just rolled with it with a smile, it's actually even worse with the text we get after finishing the quest. did the previous patch even happen?). There's already lots of posts going into details so I'll leave it here. Overall, an underwhelming ending to a relatively good story with a shaky execution.!< Well, now I can do the event and get my Gallagher at least!

Who will be the most meta character out of Jade, Yunli or Jiaoqiu in your opinion?

Yunli But if you have/use Acheron, possibly Jiaoqiu instead

Short term, probably Yunli. Destruction good, big number good, team members are all out there already, pretty plug and play if you have a mature account. Long term, it'll be Jiaoqiu. Damage dealers are the easiest to cripple by unfavourable MoC/PF/AS enemy rotations, blessings, general game landscape when the content glazing the brand new dps hard counters what made your old dps work, and so on. Supports are eternal - Pela/Tingyun are still meta no matter how much the meta changes, and Pela on steroids will stay meta too, I would bet my oak cakes on it. Jade is a wildcard. She's not gonna be meta at release outside of PF, but we don't know where the meta is going next. Maybe next year she has a cracked MOC team with characters that aren't out yet, maybe she doesn't, she's kind of a vague guess right now.

The new enemies, the wolves which will sell the 2 new characters have high speed and speed boost which incentivises more debuffs with Jiaoqiu and more counter for Yunli, so those 2

Probably Jiaoqiu since he's the bis support for a top2 dps in the current meta. Yunli follows behind being a good option in both MOC and PF. The only place she suffers is AS since counters won't do anything to broken enemies. Jade is basically just for PF unless you go E1.

Would you prioritize his E1 or LC?

LC for sure.

As of now, I'd say Yunli since she is good in MOC but really good in PF. Jade is slept on imo. You usually have so many options in MOC and AS, but PF can get quite hard without the right units, making Jade a very attractive pull to make that game mode easier forever since she destroy multiple enemies. Jade is very unique so far in what she does, with Yunli you have Clara who is similar, heck you can pull Yunli's LC for Clara and she also scales with eidolons when you lose 50/50s. Then you have Jiaoqiu who is more of a luxury pull at the moment, even for Acheron teams who are already destroying content, but I'm expecting some big buffs for him. Jade on the other hand, there is no one like her, and we don't know if Hoyo will add another mode to handle waves of enemies different from PF or they put Cyrus as a boss in MOC one day. Hoyo will also very likely release a "Furina", someone that buffs characters with oscilating HP like Blade, Jingliu or Arlan, then Jade can make that "Furina" buff anyone Jade buffs. I think Jade is quite underrated and unique.

Yunli. Destruction privileges and straight Clara powercreep, who was already good.

...Boothill is a Hunt? Nihility actually works better with him imo..thanks to the Break Efficiency blessing and the DoT sharing blessing helping to spread his megacancer breaks.

In DU? Not really. I can't think of many that don't work with him. They do work better for Firefly, since she naturally cuts her health, but most of the blessings simply require getting hit and/or healing, which will happen if you're running him with Gallagher.

I've been trying in vain to get the last three, and I might take a break. * You should pick a Path to chase very early on and always take those blessings first, even if you end up with 0 equations active. For this reason, it's better to chase these without Threshold Protocol enabled. * Cyclical Extrapolation can help give you a better start to a run, but it's limited to 1 Path per week. * Avoid Occurrence domains, as these are the most likely to be unhelpful. Combat domains are very consistent for getting 3 blessings per room. * Shops aren't usually super helpful except to try to look for sealing wax of your chosen Path or the Man-Made Meteorite (though if you do get the Meteorite once you have 12-13 blessings, it increases your odds of a successful run by quite a bit). I still usually enter the one at the start of the 3rd plane and hope to see the Meteorite. * For rerolling, I usually decide what to reroll based on rarity (i.e. if I have 2 of the 3\* blessings I stop fishing, or 5-6 for 2\* and 8+ for 1\*). Hopefully someone else has better advice, as I still haven't completed all of these, but this is what I've been doing so far, to varying amounts of success (some Paths took me 2-3 tries, these last few I've done 10+ without any successes).

Suggest me some fun FUA teams to try in DU other than RRAT (I only have Ratio from that team). I got Himeko E2, Herta E6, Xueyi E6, March E4, maybe some other 4 stars I'm not remembering. Edit : Oh yeah, Clara E0 too.

perhaps it's been my own luck, but very few bosses and enemies in DU seem to be quantum weak, so xueyi is hard to recommend outside of super break (lots of IMG weak for HTB). You could try herta and himeko with march and keep a flex slot open. shop for remembrance and elation blessings and pray for good luck in general.

xueyi e6 is quite interesting for fights with enough enemy gauge. Classic tingyun sparkle works reasonably well for her. She prefers to hog as much of the gauge breaking to herself and sparkle helps with that a lot. Hear she does well this apocalyptic shadow because there's just so much gauge to break. she kind of flounders once enemies run out of toughness though.

How unpredictable are reruns in HSR right now? I'm waiting for Silver Wolf to complete my Acheron team

Pretty sure they will finish up 1.X reruns with Huo Huo and Ratio in 2.4, Huo Huo looks like BiS for Yunli and Ratio somewhat benefits from Jiaoqiu debuffs. In either 2.5 or 2.6 I expect them to mix the 2.X reruns with some 1.X second reruns. If I have to guess, the ones that make more sense to rerun soon-ish are Kafka, following or preceeding Swan's rerun, and Seele cause she was both the first banner and the first rerun.

No way to know right now. But I'd just wait for Jiaoqiu on the 2nd half of 2.4 instead and skip her, Pela is good enough on that team

First reruns are somewhat predictable, within a certain timeframe. We can expect Huohuo and Ratio in the next patch or two, for example. But second reruns have never happened and we don't know how they're going to happen, so they could not be more unpredictable.

I'm kinda driving myself insane by looking at comparisons and sheets and calcs and pros and cons and- anyway, Blade + Jade speedtuning is wack. So, to make sure I'm not completely wasting my time, could someone tell me if I understand advance forward properly? Jade has 50% in her kit, so say that I want her to go before my 160+ SPD supports, is it as simple as doing [JadeSPD]x1.5 to get her effective speed, or is there more to it similar to how percentage-based SPD bonuses are calculated using a character's base SPD, with flat SPD boosts being added at the end? Basically: will a Jade at 110 SPD act as if she were 165 SPD for her first turn? (110x1.5=165)

The formula for equivalent speed after action advance is >Spd / (1-AA%) So for example if you Jade is 110 Spd, and she start the battle with Action Advanced (AA%) of 50% Then: >110 / (1-0.5) = 220 Equivalent Spd. So you Jade is almost always guaranteed to move first.

50% AA is equivalent to 100% speed for that action, as you take the AV of that turn (say 100 for 100 spd) and multiply it by 1-AA (as 100% AA gives 0 AV, and 0% AA doesn't affect your AV) 10000/Spd = AV * (1-AA) 10000/Spd/(1-AA) = AV So basically you divide the spd by (1-AA) to get effective speed. Like a 50% advance is spd/0.5 or 2x more speed.

Cocolia in AS 4th level is horrible, she keeps freezing or imprisoning my units but I finally managed to beat her atleast. I need nearly 200 points to get 3 stars though and I won't get that unless I somehow kill Cocolia faster which I think is quite impossible.

Gallagher with multiplication handles Cocolia pretty soundly. If you're using HMC, give them DDD for even more action advance shenanigans.

As someone who doesn't play genshin what are mixed banners and how would that work in honkai?

They put up a single banner which lets you select who the featured character or LC of that banner will be out of a list of characters and LCs. Pity is same as typical limited banners but with some major differences. One is that if you lose 50/50 it will not be to standard characters/LCs but to one of the other characters/LCs you could have chosen for the banner. (If you picked a character as your goal on the banner then you can only lose to other characters you could have picked, not to LCs. Same for picking LC as the goal, you won't lose to a character in that case .) Second, and **this is the reason people hate this banner in Genshin**, is that if you lose, your **guarantee will only be remembered if you get the next 5 star drop before the banner goes away.** If the banner goes away and comes back a few months later, **it will remember your pity but not your guarantee.**

So let's say there's a "stellaron hunter" mixed banner, they'd let you pick from Silver wolf, FIrefly, Kafka, and Blade to be the target character for your 50/50, however it's pity counter is different to you're normal limited banner pity. In genshin the mixed banner pity carried through to the next mixed banner but the 50/50 guarantee doesn't. Edit: also you could lose your 50/50 to one of the other options. (So you could pick Blade and lose to Kafka)

Any tips for level 6 DU without any Firefly teams? I even pulled for RM because I don't think we're getting a Harmony male anytime soon, but I'm still struggling lol o<-< Also I feel like Aventurine is kinda ass with Boothill lol the taunt sucks so bad

I cleared it with FUA Clara, abundance x elation advisor physician equation, using double sustain. But any FUA dps should work. Clara was the best option against Avenboss. The abundance and elation blessings help you to stay alive long enough to chip the boss’s health off.

FUA teams are really good with the Propagation/Elation/Nihility combo equations for Spore damage (especially the 3* Borehole equation). If you combine the tankier characters like Aventurine/Clara/March and go for the survival blessings/curios on the side it makes it easier too. If you can ever get the crown curio that lets you skip a fight then use that to skip the second boss, it buys you more time to fill out equations. I haven't used Boothill a whole lot but I did switch to tankier gear on him when I was using him in there, he's a squishy boy.

I cleared it with the FuA trio + Ruan Mei. City Restorer equation is huge for survivability thanks to Aventurine. I also got lucky with getting Ruan Mei II and III occurrences, so maybe you can spam occurrence domains for that? Defensive blessings are also really important. Another strat is the good ol' capitalism strat, Price of Peace and friends work well in this mode too.

Cirrus has already been nerfed. E1 Firefly with the turn on break blessing already trivialized Cirrus before the nerf though.

After building my Hanya, I have found great enjoyment. A nice character with even better animations.

I got Hanya back when she debuted along with Argenti, and have been using her since. She can't spit out enough SPs to keep DHIL going all the time, but she's my fave support nonetheless.

What's the recommended build for Jiaoqiu? Is 2x messenger + 2x pioneer good? Vonwacq? Is Showtime viable (I don't have the event LC)? I know he can get dedicated sets in the future but I wanna have something for him while I work on his BIS build later.

Wait for V3 first. If DoT is added to his base kit, 4pcs Prisoner set might be a good option. If they make him more (non DoT) DPS oriented, 4pcs Pioneer set might be good. Currently, outside of his sig and S5 Tutorial (event LC) his best LC option is S5 Eyes of the Prey, simply because of the EHR. Showtime is maybe OK for some DPS, but he will have a hard time reaching his required EHR.

I'm not counting on the possibility of him all of a sudden becoming a DOT unit, it is what it is for now. I just want him to give Acheron max stacks ASAP. My S2 Eyes is with Black Swan, so it's not an option. Gonna see if I can get his LC, otherwise Showtime it's all I have I guess. Thanks for your response.

If you're primarily running him as an Acheron stack generator, then I'd go 2p Messenger (but really, whatever gives you the most SPD/EHR) as his personal damage isn't that significant in her team. If you have Pearls it's also a viable option to boost Acheron's numbers, it doesn't do anything for his stack generation but it never hurts to have DEF shred.

How's the math with Robin instead of Sparkle? The diff between Huohuo and Lynx doesnt seem as noticeable unless its something like PF I guess, I'd rather have more survability in that case honestly, also I wonder if Robin makes it so that its better to run another solo dps like March instead of Tingyun

so, note the calc is just 3 targets who do single target attacks at 158 base spd. the more single target enemy attacks, the better lynx is. Fewer? Huohuo gets better since you have better ult uptime if fewer enemy attacks burn through your yunli ults. no idea on robin yet, haven't rigged up a single robin gallagher qpq team yet. I'm inclined to say it sounds not that great, but maybe I'll get around to it. just feels weird you know? So much of robin's value comes from teammates spamming attacks. And a yunli tingyun sparkle team just doesnt do that.

Have you done calcs for E1 Clara vs E0 Yunli? E1 can get you lots of damage thanks to Sparkle.

So, in practice, I find that a lot of enemies minus bosses tend to die before E1 matters. And that it can be a bit RNG to set up. [But once it's set up](https://imgur.com/tPIESW3.png), E1 clara seems to perform about on par with E0 yunli.

Clara already self buffs aggro, massive diminishing returns on stacking aggro buffs, yada yada. Not something I'd pull for, but if you want to whale for Clara, go for it. As for Huohuo in Clara comps, eh, I don't have a fully optimized huohuo clara team set up in the sim. [I can give you an example where I kept tingyun on cogs, and did post op huohuo](https://i.imgur.com/dnwmP8R.png), but that doesn't perform too great. Simply put, Clara already has a ton of atk%, her max energy is low, so just the ATK% buff and energy regen from huohuo alone is not a ton of value. Worse than Fuxuan. Once again, not saying huohuo is bad, I'm saying huohuo is complicated and my calc needs more optimization. A significant amount of Huohuo's value comes from allowing Tingyun to swap off cogs. Which, probably means you're swapping onto dance dance dance or carve the moon or something. Which definitely complicates the rotation even more. And you can swap huohuo to QPQ. Which once again, complicates the rotation even more. I hate it and I'm just going to stick to Fuxuan. Clara needs crit. Fuxuan is good. Maybe huohuo is better, but don't expect to actually run huohuo productively over Fuxuan unless you reaaaally know the ins and outs of the clara/huohuo rotation. Which I haven't sat down and thought through. Something something unga bunga.

haha interesting thanks for all the details! Yunli's sig on Clara seems like a trap then. People are going to see the stat 'Yunli is only 4% better than Clara with her sig' and think 'oh well I'll just pull for her sig instead of Yunli since I have Clara already' without realizing that most of its value comes from providing Yunli that taunt value that she's missing from her kit. We'll see what happens in V3, but I'm at least thankful the new LC works for both of them, compared to buffing say ult damage instead of follow up which seems like the kind of crap Hoyo would pull lately.

HuoHuo should be in Clara's best team comp too for maximum ult uptime... Plus, Fu Xuan steals agro.

From experience, it is more of a gain when you can bank on cleave attacks hitting either one or the other than single target attacks missing Clara because they go to Fu Xuan instead. Clara is also in dire need of crit.

I haven't seen this to be true in my own sims. aggro has massive diminishing returns so fuxuan being preservation barely matters. clara has a lot of atk% already and low max energy, so huohuo ult has poor synergy meanwhile clara sparkle, with 12 cr substats and cr mainstat and salsotto still has a lopsided cr to cd ratio. Fuxuan's cr buff is very valuable. just tossing huohuo into a clara team is not inherently great. You can make it work by doing stuff like swapping tingyun from cogs to some other cone, and maybe using qpq. But without these optimizations huohuo will underperform fuxuan.

Why not give Clara HH with QPQ as well or Lynx with QPQ? Her Ult uptime is also pretty important to bumping up her dps, and also why not give a bar with Clara on Yunli's sig, I've seen more than one person in the megathread announce they intend to pull Yunli's sig just for Clara...wouldn't that be useful to calc as well...

I avoid cluttering plots too much if I can. Slapping a team together is one thing, but you kind of have to optimize it too, which can take time. Especially if there are a lot of combinations. I like Fuxuan as a baseline. It's very stable and not that different from alternatives. As for lynx, lynx just isn't as good fuxuan. CR buff is good. Aggro buffs have massive diminishing returns. Not even worth putting in a chart. Huohuo and QPQ make team building weird. Like you want to swap out Tingyun cone from cogs to... something else? Especially weird if you swap to DDD. And in practice it gets bottle necked by enemy attack rate. Most of my sims are 3 target, so that's a significant concern. I want to be able to quickly update my sim from 2 to 3 to 5 target without significant variation, and huohuo teams are just... weird for that. But doubly so in clara teams. [For example, here is a calc where I kept tingyun on cogs but added huohuo](https://imgur.com/dnwmP8R.png) As you can see, Huohuo underperforms Fuxuan if you keep Tingyun on cogs. Does that mean Huohuo is worse? No. It means a significant portion of Huohuo's value is the ability to sub out Tingyun's light cone for an alternative. And that her ATK buff, extra energy, and lower base aggro alone do not outweigh Fuxuan's CR buff. But see how complicated that is to explain? I avoid adding stuff that is complicated to explain to a chart unless someone asks directly.

Is Clara running ERR or ATK rope here? Sorry, I'm having a hard time tying the numbers and letters (1.2 E, 2.3 T, etc) to in-game stats as I don't look into calc stuff too often. Also, does Robin fall behind on these teams or is there another reason she's not included?

atk rope I just haven't gotten around to these robin qpq gallagher schenanigans I mean intuitively, clara team doesn't attack nearly as frequently as followup hunt team, and the robin advance feels weird with sparkle, so I don't have particularly high hopes

It's a little disappointing to see how little Yunli's sig does for Clara. I almost have a hard time believing it when I compare their effects at face value, especially given Aeon on a character who's already saturated with ATK% buffs. The Skill spam with Sparkle benefitting fully from Aeon must go a long way in closing the gap, is what I presume.

When you're doing damage comparisons in order to show how a unit is better over another, there is a need to disclose your assumptions, otherwise people will find your results questionable, making the calcs a moot point. It's how Prydwen's reputation gradually went down the drain, because they did not disclose what assumptions they were making when doing calcs and also because they did not maintain a consistent baseline when doing comparisons. Having Yunli's S1 + Sparkle allows Clara to lean into running a CR chest and building a high enough CR that she could do without FX's 12% CR buff imo. I think there's a chance you're overweighing FX's utility due to the specific build you have on Clara. Also, while you may not have meant it, but when you say "she's looking this good" in reference to Yunli, yet you show a singular Clara team that is different from the Yunli teams as a comparison but skimp out on build details and your reasoning behind the calculations or rankings, it just comes off as more feelscrafty than reliable. Plus [FX as a Preservation naturally steals more aggro than an Abundance unit would](https://honkai-star-rail.fandom.com/wiki/Aggro)...so that's a factor to consider as well.
