Pretty sure OP is discussing hotwheels exclusively. The mainline STHs and the premium chases. Probably looking to trade a mainline STH for a premium chase or the other way round. This guy should have mentioned what chase he was talking about
I get multiple of almost every premium chase , and only maybe 8-10 of each year's super. Always at retail , I don't do scalper markup, if I don't find it on the prowl I don't get one.

Chase bc for m2 machines for example they have only a specific number of chases made for hotwheels you don’t know how much supers they have made

If M2 are in the conversation, sure. I’ve found a “raw”, which is listed as 1 in only 250.
Been properly hunting since 2018 over here in Englandmjave found 6 chases and 0 soup. I check both toy shops near me several times a week
