Ofcourse I did and they didn't even care. I asked the sales guy first and he himself got confused. Probably he was not aware of the same products having different MRPs. Then he went to the guy at the counter and that guy was like 300 is the MRP and I have to pay that. Take it or leave it kind of attitude
This was inevitable, I'm not surprised. I've spoken to a few shopkeepers and they absolutely hate this practice of people flipping these for a profit, one guy demanded 800 bucks for premiums instead of 549 cause "why should I miss out on the profits".
This is what happens when you support scalpers by buying shit from them, this includes some websites that sell these at anywhere from 230 to 1200 depending on the casting.
No no
This is what happens when you spill the beans
I'm already facing that consequence (not that i did) an idiot friend of mine did this to the main distributor in our city and now it's too late
The distributor has refused to sell to you?
Also nobody spilled the beans, shopkeepers aren't idiots. It was inevitable for them to find out on their own.
Selling for more than MRP in an offline store is kinda illegal, but idk how it works with these imported stuff. But i guess mattel has announced that it costs 179 so it should be easy to land the shop owner in trouble

You can see the same additional sticker applied on top of original MRP for the Miata. But the Tahoe costed only 179.
Happened with me too but I didn't know 2023 cards costed 149 and paid extra

Did you confront him?

Next time, simply make a video and say you're gonna file a case in consumer court.
Can't we actually file a complaint against these stammers, what are the legal procedures?
You can file stating that they're selling products over MRP. But I'm unaware about the procedure. YT can help you.

This isn't imported. This is supplied officially by Mattel.
Yeah my bad, then definitely it's illegal to slap on their own price
What’s the shop’s name ??
Moulavi I guess. Not sure if the spelling is right. It's located at kalamassery near the railway station.
