I don’t see how it spoils when there are multiple sets of brothers. If anything, the brothers that died would’ve successfully subverted expectations as well.
I like the title a lot and I think it's significantly better than "A brother for a brother", ESPECIALLY after last weeks episode already being called "A son for a son", which is just a 10x better version
Just "Farewells" would fit better to the GoT/HotD naming convention and would have a nice double meaning with Jaehaerys' funeral and Cargyllbowl and also Otto leaving KL and the dog saying farewell to his owner
Because if you know what ultimately happens to Rhaenyra, the scenes at the funeral is the most important foreshadowing of the entire episode. In GoT it was never the flashiest eye catching moment that had the most significance for the future
Brother for a brother would've been too cliche and repitative after the first episode being titled son for a son (which was a deliberate misdirection. while "brother for a brother" would've given the plot away).
The person who wrote the episode and preferred that title.
And it would sound really silly to have two successive episode titles looking similar for not much reason other than because it sounds ‘cool’ and you just about can.
I think "Rhaenyra the Cruel" is fine. I might have gone with something like "Love and Honor," as it covers a wide variety of the conflicts in the episode, like Arryk and Erryk having to choose between their love for each other and their duties to their respective monarchs, Alicent and Cole feeling shame for sullying their honor and not being there for Helaena, and Rhaenyra and Daemon arguing over his impulsivity/monstrousness vs. her desire to wage an honorable war.
because why is everyone hyping up a fight between two characters who had a combined screen time of maybe 10 minutes across two seasons.
They didnt give me any reason to care about the twins yet their fight is this epic moment? Cmon.

Because it was about the PR battle going on.
Because, it should've been named The Spidey Meme Dream
a brother for a brother spoils while a son for a son subverted expectations (successfully)
Often they have released episodes and not uploaded the name until later in the original GOT

Why not name it "The Twins Die at the End"?
The Tragedy of Erryk and Arryk what will happen?
House Frey wasn't even in the episode, silly.
house frey was in our hearts,as it always is
😂
Take my poor man’s award! 🏆
This comment made me laugh a little too much
That would be too much of a spoiler

2 for one special
It should have been " Farewell Brother " .
That's actually great
Thanks , "Farewell, My Brother", is actually a sad ballad by Luceon of Tarth , mentioned in "Fire and Blood ".

Apologies, I’ve read the book and maybe I’m just a bit daft, but what foreshadowing is there in the funeral procession?
Also curious 👀
Someone smarter than you
How about "Am I Seeing Double?!?"
Foue Cargylls?
Major spoiler in episode title. I think you should run for president
Dropped the ball with "Maegor with teets" as well
😂😂😂
“Spy vs Spy”
I would have liked "Brother in Arms"
People in the comments coming up with their own ideias is… cute
Someone with good ideas
how about "Which one's Erryk?"
Yeah Rhaenrrje cruel sounds much better
Someone that knew what they were doing.
The person who wrote the episode and preferred that title. And it would sound really silly to have two successive episode titles looking similar for not much reason other than because it sounds ‘cool’ and you just about can.
Sundays episode "A blonde for a blonde"
I'd call it "Which is which???"

I read that as "Love and Hodor" for some reason
Hodor is love. Hodor is life.
Nah, because it’s not about the brothers. They’re just casualties of a bigger war going on.

It's definitely turning out to be a very devastating chess match!
Bloody brothers...
Too redundant.
The right title should have been “More evidence why the green faction are the villains” coz they were not subtle with what they were selling
it will be a spoiler
The Crime of Ham and Cheese
When do we get Maegor with teets?
A Son for A Son was a name of the last episode and it reduces the impact of that episode’s name to change the name of this episode.
“A Brother for a brother” would have been a sick follow up to “A son for a son”.
Shoulda been “Meghor with Teets”
Sorry to all the non-book readers out there

Those are both kinda shit titles
Or maybe just "Erryk and Arryk Kill Each Other" Edit: He deleted his comment, but his suggestions were ”The Twins” or ”Battle of the Brothers”
I liked "forgive me brother" as a good episode title.
Greens propaganda.
Rhaenyra was literally the opposite of "cruel" in this episode. But maybe that was the point
LOL didn't even know that's what they called it haha. Yeah that's the weakest name of an episode I've seen so far lmao.
