I wish Eureka had a running track. Well lit, with no space for creepy strange "pop out of shrrubs" encounters with unpredictable dogs, people and situations.
Went to go check out the CR track recently and found out they tore the thing up and are putting a new one in. Construction is set to finish in September
I’m surprised the high school track field isn’t open to the public. My hometown has 2 high schools and both allow public access to their track/football fields and soccer fields. I didn’t realize public school’s could block off their track/sports fields to the public…
Most allow public access, but you often have to go in and talk to someone in the office.
Eureka High is doing construction soon, so access is probably limited, but they have a sign near the gate that has info on how to get a key and when you can use the track.
That’s exactly what I’m saying! It was surprising when I drove by (this summer, after school was out)and saw it locked up, my home town was the same way

If you go and the gates are open, update here. I just saw someone post in another app that it’s been locked early mornings and she wondered if anyone had seen it open so she could run laps there.

CR might be your best bet? I believe EHS is closing the field area after graduation to finally do the big repair work, as they redid the gym.

I don't think you can go to the university. I heard it's locked down.

That’s because it’s not a building and people aren’t prohibited from accessing open spaces.
