If OSU makes the tourney, the refs should pry make their pages on that new FanCave site that was posted on the sub the other day so all the OSU fans can give them money in their tip jar.
It was the only one of these last 3 they could lose. Team played okay. Maybe a little too greedy with the ball. Homer refs. Amazing foul - free throw difference. Oh well.
Need to get Rutgers at PBA.
GBR!
Homer refs is correct.
Look, Nebraska didn’t play good enough. Plain and simple. But with about 4 minutes to go (I only caught about the last 10 minutes of the game) I saw an Ohio State defender shove Mast into the oncoming Ohio State player driving the lane. The kid from Ohio State collided with Mast, absolutely leveling Mast, all while making the shot. I was thinking “how in the hell is that not, at minimum, a foul on the non-shooting Ohio State kid in the post (for shoving Mast into the path of his own teammate) and/or not a charge by the Ohio State player with the ball (and waving off the shot)? If I’m not mistaken, immediately after this play Jamarcus Lawrence was called for an offensive foul for using his arm to push off/create separation on a made 3-pointer. I was thinking “a little shove off on THIS end gets called but Mast getting launched then flattened on THAT end is okay?”
I saw Sam Hoiberg, on a drive near the basket, get clotheslined and the result was a turnover but no foul called.
I am sure there were numerous other calls (both ways) I did not observe, but the two I referenced above were pretty GD egregious.
You don't know what you're talking about. We could lose our and probably still sneak in on the bubble. One win and we're locked in, take that to the bank
Look at the projections, updated weekly. They are pretty spot on over the years lmao they don’t pull out wild cards for selection Sunday😂 I’ll start this conversation if they lose out AND lose game 1 of the BIG Tournament. Then I’d sweat a little bit
I don’t know if I would call them bad - they have some good wins and have definitely turned things around since firing their HC, definitely the one loss we can afford out of the last 3 games.
We are a lock. We aren’t in limbo. If we lose the next two we may be a bubble team at that point, but I think things would have to really go off the rails for that to happen.
Idek HTF to gamplan against this ref circus. There's bad, typical B1G ref bad, then this horsesh*t. Let's just go pick rando's off the street to ref. Fecking horrible
And it doesn’t help when we are called for 21 fouls and the opponent is called for 9. Absolute dog shit. But if we made half of the missed layups this game it’d be going to OT
Hard to win when one team gets free reign to play as physical as they want, but the other can't even get close without a foul call.
Big 10 officiating is so dogshit
FT discrepancy is awful but we missed chance after chance to tie it up or take the lead with about 3-4 mins to go. Pretty awful game from Gary offensively
Eh this is a bummer. I was hoping to go to the NCAA game but this kinda reinforces that this team is only worth paying for tickets to if they're at the pba. Omaha may be the one exception.
There's a larger trend of this team underperforming away from home that's hard to ignore. I was hoping they'd turned that around at Indiana. This isn't a positive sign.
We'll see how they do in the big ten tournament.
They didn't underperform as bas as they normally do. I mean, a loss is a loss at the end of the day and the shooting was poor, but they didn't perform as bad as they had on the road.
Man fuck these refs. This has been the most bullshit I have ever seen. Battle can foul all the fuck he wants and we can’t look at someone the wrong way
It's not a bad loss, basically this was the only win we can get that helps us into the tourney. Like, if we win this its over we are for sure in. Not winning this means, we need to win out or at least 1-1 it. We are "in" in most projections, but I'll believe it when I see it.
Why? Close game, plenty of time. We have finally gotten over the hump with that conference road win, not saying it's guaranteed but we have a good shot
We certainly did play well enough to win, but their team getting 20 more free throws was the difference. Thanks refs.
Next time that officiating crew comes to Nebraska, arrest them and have them spend a night in jail on suspicion of fixing the game.
If OSU makes the tourney, the refs should pry make their pages on that new FanCave site that was posted on the sub the other day so all the OSU fans can give them money in their tip jar.
Didn't get to watch...am I seeing this correctly? OSU had 28 FT attempts and we had 8?
Yup that’s correct.
Losing Brice to 2 fouls in the first half was bad. Lawrence was out too with a rolled ankle. Brice fouling out is a joke.
It was the only one of these last 3 they could lose. Team played okay. Maybe a little too greedy with the ball. Homer refs. Amazing foul - free throw difference. Oh well. Need to get Rutgers at PBA. GBR!

They absolutely needed that win, now we have to win out. I don’t trust the committee putting us in the tourney.
You don't know what you're talking about. We could lose our and probably still sneak in on the bubble. One win and we're locked in, take that to the bank
Yup because it’s very normal to go from a 9 seed to out after 1 game
Michigan State has entered the chat.
We aren’t shit, those are projections. Neb has never got a fair shake when it comes to the tournament. They must finish strong to assure they get in.
Look at the projections, updated weekly. They are pretty spot on over the years lmao they don’t pull out wild cards for selection Sunday😂 I’ll start this conversation if they lose out AND lose game 1 of the BIG Tournament. Then I’d sweat a little bit
Sure thing bud whatever you say
Beat Rutgers
And then Michigan, and the game after that and the game after that and the game after that… so on and so forth. GBR!
The B1G just wants an extra team in the tourney, but now we need that win at Michigan.
Just fuck
Mast, Gary and Tominaga went a combined 11/38 from the floor. 29%. Woof.
Take the fine and trash the officiating Fred. You make enough money.
Just walk out with a checkbook to really set the tone.
28-8 free throw attempts
Happens when you bite on every pump fake. Although every close call in the last 5 minutes did go against us
We have to win these next two games for a double bye
Hate to lose that one, but if we have to lose one of the last three I’m glad it’s against quad 1
I hate losing to Ohio State, especially bad OSU teams. Quad 1 doesn’t even help me feel better this time.
I don’t know if I would call them bad - they have some good wins and have definitely turned things around since firing their HC, definitely the one loss we can afford out of the last 3 games.
Especially with how douchy their fans are in the cbb subreddit, Jesus Christ
There are some teams we play I just don’t go to the big threads.
I should've stayed away
They’re hot right now though
Refs all gained some lung capacity tonight with how much they blew
that graphic is wrong, they have a Quad 3 loss.
who was it?
Indiana is a quad 2 and quad 3 loss for OSU, I believe.
Indiana
Bad game. Bad refs. I don’t doubt this team on a normal day
So many bullshit fouls and we never got to see replays of them either!
Suck to still be in limbo.
If this was any other big ten school with the same resume (other than Northwestern) they’d be a lock
I mean, it is what it is. I am jaded, so I just don't think we will get any breaks.
It’s going to be ok
>It’s going to be ok ok
We are a lock. We aren’t in limbo. If we lose the next two we may be a bubble team at that point, but I think things would have to really go off the rails for that to happen.
Yea. The bubble is soft as charmin this year.
Idek HTF to gamplan against this ref circus. There's bad, typical B1G ref bad, then this horsesh*t. Let's just go pick rando's off the street to ref. Fecking horrible

Still calling fouls. Never change zebra.
Hard to win when one team gets free reign to play as physical as they want, but the other can't even get close without a foul call. Big 10 officiating is so dogshit
Ohio state has 2 players who have shot more free throws than the entire Nebraska teams Edit: not together. Each has shot more.
It’s officially Illinois 2.0. I’m so mad!
The last two games we have missed no short of 15 shots AT THE RIM!!!!
FT discrepancy is awful but we missed chance after chance to tie it up or take the lead with about 3-4 mins to go. Pretty awful game from Gary offensively
Unfortunately Gary can’t shoot. Dude would be an elite NBA prospect if his jump shot wasn’t broken
He shoots 33% from 3, which is not great but serviceable for a college player
Eh this is a bummer. I was hoping to go to the NCAA game but this kinda reinforces that this team is only worth paying for tickets to if they're at the pba. Omaha may be the one exception.
Imagine being this guy. Yikes
Literally fuck that we were absolutely fucked by the refs in this one
There's a larger trend of this team underperforming away from home that's hard to ignore. I was hoping they'd turned that around at Indiana. This isn't a positive sign. We'll see how they do in the big ten tournament.
They didn't underperform as bas as they normally do. I mean, a loss is a loss at the end of the day and the shooting was poor, but they didn't perform as bad as they had on the road.
That’s how almost every team in the big ten has performed this year away from home. Home cooking has been insane in the big ten
Did you watch the game? Or just follow the box score. This game was fucking horrendously officiated.
Hey we are undefeated on neutral courts
Fair!
They should have put this away a long time ago with all the help they’ve gotten
Tominagas worst game of the year absolute dog shit rebounding
Actually Tominaga’s worst game was against Minnesota on Sunday. Tominaga has been on a cold streak as of late.
Tone was set when Gayle got 8 fts in the first 8 minutes
I fucking hate being a “but the refs” guy but this game has been an absolute joke.
Not saying that we outplayed them, but this should be a 2 point game right now
25 FTs to 8
27 to 8 now. Just atrocious.
Blatant
Is he gonna be playing in March for long?
Fred get a spine and start riding these refs this is stupid. Also announcers OSU has a quad 3 loss
Idk why he didn’t call a timeout when OSU opened the half with 3 straight buckets just let the shit continue
Man fuck these refs. This has been the most bullshit I have ever seen. Battle can foul all the fuck he wants and we can’t look at someone the wrong way
pushing off and clearing out all night long and got away with all of them.
If this game was officiated fairly, that was an offensive foul
We had our chances, but 24 vs 8 free throw attempts is disconcerting. Last 2 games are must wins imo
Horse shit officiating
Guys, three men wearing white and black robbed us of a decent game.
Good "game" OSU. Glad that these fuckers want you to win
Battle used a clear out on Lawrence….
he got away with it ALL night.
Oh cool Battle can push off 👍
Did they call that a charge on Jamarques? What happened?
Yes
Worst reffed game I’ve ever seen. Don’t have a chance when refs are this biased
Quality loss or nah
It's not a bad loss, basically this was the only win we can get that helps us into the tourney. Like, if we win this its over we are for sure in. Not winning this means, we need to win out or at least 1-1 it. We are "in" in most projections, but I'll believe it when I see it.
This could get us off the 9 line into the 10 line which is a little better for us to look on the bright side
You're talking about seeding, I'm not even ready to say we got in lol.
I believe we are gonna get in but I’m optimistic.
Played well considering the whistles OSU is getting
Quad 1 game
fuck this game. every fucking shot attempt is a foul on nebraksa
these whistles are atrocious tonight. Letting full contact at one end, and nothing on the other. tOSU now with 3x free throw attempts. 19 fouls to 9.
Tominaga just doing cardio the last 2 games
Almost 1/3rd of their points are free throws
Tominaga all of a sudden is afraid to catch and shoot.
"Here's like 5 free points!"
Refs fucking Battle at the local Holiday Inn tonight.
These refs must have bet a lot on this game.
Nebraska didn’t have an answer for Battle, or the refs.
This game is fucking rigged
This is actually insane. So fucking lopsided with the calls
Jameson battle shooting 10 fts is fucking bullshit
I wouldn't mind if isis took these refs out
Every fucking call
My god they are going to just foul Nebraska as an entire team out
Impossible to beat the refs
Everything is a foul on us
Fucking cheat job
These refs and announcers are so stoked
Fuck the officiating this game God damn
What a weak foul call once again...
Between this game and Illinois game we have been absolutely robbed on the road. And as I type this they call another bail out foul
Let’s show 5 replays of the layup and none of the offensive foul. GO
What a joke
WHISTLE WHISTLE WHISTLE. BULLSHIT
Over. We had our chances.
Ref ball, that was a charge Mast took and no call
What a flop
That’s game over
Bitch boy Gayle
Bullshit call. Ballgame
ohhhh, bad landing....
Just awful defense and rebounding today gotta win the last 2
What a good actor
Wtf tho
What the fuck are these refs seeing?!
BS
OSU spending NIL bags on refs... Nothing new
Game over boys. Fuck the refs.
WHY TF IS GARY SHOOTING SO MUCH
Agreed. Get in the paint.
Why can’t we rebound man
Gotta mute cuz these announcers are making me mad
Shocking foul call
Off OSU and then they get a foul shot.
Horse shit fucking call so sick of this shit man
This is bullshit
These refs practiced calling fouls on us in the mirror
Calling fouls before the contact is a bit suspect
Every freaking time it's a foul
I STG. MISS. A. FUCKING. FT.
Imagine that a foul for them. I’m shocked
Wtf is this angle
NeBRASKETball just wants to be like baseball and win dramatically.
What’s the record for free throws made? Have to think the refs have helped them achieve that.
Just need a little run at the right time here
Every time they have a chance to tie or take the lead on offense, they take the worst possible shot
Then the refs bail em out
We can still do this
Did this OSU interim coach just watch Shaka Smart videos on how to work the refs and shuffle up and down the sidelines?
He hasn’t used himself as a screen yet so he didn’t pay enough attention to Shaka if so
Tie the game lads
Announcers getting on my nerves here
Hummell is always on my nerves.
Tomi space Naga.
How are we feeling yall
Like I’m about to get a colonoscopy and they didn’t give me enough anesthesia.
Like it’s us vs them and OSU.
Bad
Why? Close game, plenty of time. We have finally gotten over the hump with that conference road win, not saying it's guaranteed but we have a good shot
Hate to say it but man if Fred showed some more anger towards the refs I think we’d get more calls
I have heard he doesn’t get super intense on the sideline because of his heart condition. Might have been lied to though? 🤷🏼♂️
I thought this might have something to do with it but I’m not sure
Never worked for Miles or Pelini
Shoot with how the refs are calling the game with a little aggression theyd probably T him up…refs are a joke.
Nebraska get a stop challenge
Make both, then they’ll call a foul on us to help them out.
The difference in foul calls and free throws this game is just absurd.
Lol 20-6 in FT
Completely fair called game.
Bull.
Sarcasm…
My bad.
All good 😎
Heck ya it's on Bucknuts
They’ve missed 1 FT
You got to be kidding me. I swear every time the refs suck their whistles its going to be 90% OSU’s way…
Come on boys close it out
I'm so glad I bought some student ticks for Rutgers lol, J my man, I got you for some extra bb.
fouls are now 16 to 7. Good job, refs, almost to 3x!
Screw your fouls
Ref ball
We are still in it with freethrows 19-6 and fouls 16-6. Reffing is suspect.
Williams just can’t do anything right
So many fouls
Should've been +1 on Gary's dunk
Easiest call ever
