Dennis has always been immensely sinister due to the fact that everything he does in regards to sex is meant to technically be within the law, despite how morally execrable it is. It's absolutely horrifying because there's no doubt whatsoever that he's predatory and disgusting, yet he ensures that at the very least, it will be so difficult to bring him to court for anything that'll stick. It's so much worse that he can harass women and violate their boundaries, yet has so much awareness of the law that he can tiptoe around loopholes and specifics.
