A Luger is a semi-auto handgun usually chambered in 9mm.
Not any more scary than any of the many 9mm semi-autos for sale currently. The toggle action takes a bit to get used to. No hold open without an empty magazine.
My grandpa brought one back from the war off a dead German officer. We've fired it a few times but dad keeps it locked away and shows it off regularly. Fires 9mm
