My favorite way to farm earlier on is to place a single unit with lifesteal (either a Necromancer or a unit with the cursed trait) in D1. With the rabbit gear that gives +25% exp, they gain exp 5x faster than a party in this place.
Huh... Well, yeah. You need to have less than 42 Dex on every character, and not use any accessory or trait that give the ability to attack first.
If you attack the rabbit and kill it, the elemental will spawn and it's game over. Sometimes you need to min-max your team to exp :c
Dex as a stats have an influence on your turn. The more Dex, the faster you play. The golden rabbit in the Enchanted forest have 42 Dex, so if you play before him and kill him, it will summons the Forest Spirit that will wreck you. So keep your Dex lower than 42 to avoid losing exp on this monster.
It is worth parking a character there to farm bunnies to make exp gear for the other characters. You'll lose exp, but you won't lose any levels. Just plan for a character to not gain experience for a few days. You'll make up all that exp back quickly afterwards, when you're done farming bunnies.

Doesn't work for me. Rabbit dies, forest elemental has sexual intercourse with my entire party, resulting in exp loss. 😞
