I wanted a snowy, North Western fallout game so badly…be careful what you wish for.


Tbh the mod gets dunked on a little too harshly for its really bad parts. Setting aside the nasty pieces (which do warrant criticism) the mod was really fun when doing the work of the other 2 main factions. The worldspace alone is incredible imo and is second to no other mods.

From what I remember the brotherhood and legion campaigns were okay, but the NCR one was the main thing and it was fucking awful

Yeah the NCR quest tree was bootycheeks but the Legion and Mormonhood of Steel quest trees were pretty damn good with ample ending scenarios. You can tell they were written by totally different teams when compared to the NCR quests.

I believe the NCR quest was mostly written by one guy who they for some reason needed, and he basically held the project hostage until they let him write it. On the technical side it's actually very impressive too, the fact that they made cars so well in a 30 year old engine that barely worked in its prime is stunning

I adored the worldspace. The snowy ruins of Portland, Oregon made for a welcome change of pace from New Vegas or the Capital Wasteland.

They need a Hillsboro add on.

Vancouver, Washington. It's essentially Portlands religious little cousin, connected at the hip. Only separated from Portland by the Columbia River. Approx population of 250,000. I live here, nothing of interest lol.

You have the closest Red Wing store to Longview, so that was exciting to me in 2017 when I needed a new pair of boots

On the Washington side of the river is a city called Camas that has/had a paper mill, so that might be an interesting location. Camas was my hometown, so I'm excited for the possibility to see it in a fallout setting!

Any setting in the PNW has great potential. Extend the map to Walla Walla and there’s the state penitentiary.

Robertson tunnel would be a hell of an exploration.

Zoobombers (https://bikeportland.org/2022/09/15/a-zoobomb-rebirth-at-20th-anniversary-event-363503/) would fit perfect either based out of the underground MAX station or the Vista Ridge Tunnel. They start at the MAX station but one of their routes at least used to be what they called the “Hellway” through the Sunset tunnel Their IRL catch phrase is “fight evil crime” so a raider aesthetic but actually friendly and helpful would be perfect

I would love this, and honestly, the zoo and all of Washington Park would make for some great wildlife.

It should be the University of Portland. Portland State University is downtown.

Love to see it! I’d move the observatory a bit to the left in the west hills. Could have a marker near Forest Park or the Zoo to fill that area in. A large hospital near OHSU. I picture the skyline showing Mt. Hood with a chunk taken out of it from a nuke. Having to cross a spooky St. Johns bridge in the fog. Rose City Rebellion, Chin-Clackers (Chinook/Clackamas).

There’s and old submarine in Portland the uss blueback it’s a museum ship that could be a location

I think it’d be funny if Vancouver was just one big raider camp, (or at least some of the older historical buildings like Providence Academy) and the wooden skeleton of Fort Vancouver/ Vancouver Barracks is a Brotherhood encampment or a settlement for a local settler faction

This is so… rad. Heh. Can’t wait to see more. Are you open to suggestions at all? I didn’t want to presume and just start rattling off suggestions, but I grew up there and spent 20+ years learning the lay of the land, the history, and even stuff like the geological/tectonic makeup of the area…

I'd love suggestions, I'm not from anywhere that area and know absolutely nothing about it. Plus, some of the other's here have had some great advice

The bridges being a main feature/landmarks to conquer would be fun. So many options!

Consider the following: a faction of old scholars that live in the downtown Powell’s Books and consider it their holy land

I was just thinking about this today, in fact! Some ideas, if you're open to them: 1. Fort Vancouver (with vault) 2. 82nd Ave with a *series* of Super-Duper Marts and bombed out parking lots. 3. Something in the Hwy 26 tunnel would be neat. 4. Union Station

Theirs a tool you can find online called snazzymaps and all you have to do is I'd search for the fallout 4 pipboy filter

You could just go to Portland now and see fallout.

They can just go and take pictures of Portland right now and it would be a perfect fallout map
