Tbh the mod gets dunked on a little too harshly for its really bad parts. Setting aside the nasty pieces (which do warrant criticism) the mod was really fun when doing the work of the other 2 main factions. The worldspace alone is incredible imo and is second to no other mods.
Yeah the NCR quest tree was bootycheeks but the Legion and Mormonhood of Steel quest trees were pretty damn good with ample ending scenarios. You can tell they were written by totally different teams when compared to the NCR quests.
I believe the NCR quest was mostly written by one guy who they for some reason needed, and he basically held the project hostage until they let him write it. On the technical side it's actually very impressive too, the fact that they made cars so well in a 30 year old engine that barely worked in its prime is stunning
Washington. Sorry I forgot not everyone is in this area… kinda ironic since I’m from Montana and never new this place exists. That place above the river on the map is Vancouver.
Vancouver, Washington. It's essentially Portlands religious little cousin, connected at the hip. Only separated from Portland by the Columbia River. Approx population of 250,000.
I live here, nothing of interest lol.
A team was making a Fallout: New Ronto but it seems the project died out. I hope someone ends up returning to the project or starting a new one, it seemed pretty interesting
On the Washington side of the river is a city called Camas that has/had a paper mill, so that might be an interesting location. Camas was my hometown, so I'm excited for the possibility to see it in a fallout setting!
Zoobombers (https://bikeportland.org/2022/09/15/a-zoobomb-rebirth-at-20th-anniversary-event-363503/) would fit perfect either based out of the underground MAX station or the Vista Ridge Tunnel. They start at the MAX station but one of their routes at least used to be what they called the “Hellway” through the Sunset tunnel
Their IRL catch phrase is “fight evil crime” so a raider aesthetic but actually friendly and helpful would be perfect
Love to see it! I’d move the observatory a bit to the left in the west hills. Could have a marker near Forest Park or the Zoo to fill that area in. A large hospital near OHSU. I picture the skyline showing Mt. Hood with a chunk taken out of it from a nuke. Having to cross a spooky St. Johns bridge in the fog. Rose City Rebellion, Chin-Clackers (Chinook/Clackamas).
You gotta add Forest Park/Washington Park in there somehow. Also the Zoo would work well.
Also, you should move the “Red Rocket” a little bit further west so it’s on 82nd Ave 😂
Please make the OMSI submarine a location lol
The Japanese Gardens are also pretty iconic, although I can’t imagine they’d be allowed to continue existing as they are under Fallout prewar ultranationalism.
Gresham I can only imagine would be the equivalent of Freeside lol
https://docs.google.com/document/u/0/d/1QiLwFYTwWnkj0SNp6uTPuZ0Yn82wZhO3QmyaN6j3qVY/mobilebasic
I just used these instructions, idk if anyone made anything like that
I think it’d be funny if Vancouver was just one big raider camp, (or at least some of the older historical buildings like Providence Academy) and the wooden skeleton of Fort Vancouver/ Vancouver Barracks is a Brotherhood encampment or a settlement for a local settler faction
This is so… rad. Heh.
Can’t wait to see more.
Are you open to suggestions at all? I didn’t want to presume and just start rattling off suggestions, but I grew up there and spent 20+ years learning the lay of the land, the history, and even stuff like the geological/tectonic makeup of the area…
I was just thinking about this today, in fact!
Some ideas, if you're open to them:
1. Fort Vancouver (with vault)
2. 82nd Ave with a *series* of Super-Duper Marts and bombed out parking lots.
3. Something in the Hwy 26 tunnel would be neat.
4. Union Station
Could totally see a nomadic group of settlers/merchants repurposing old food trucks and moving around the city to different safe spots in a big trading group
I wanted to see a Fallout map for Portland, and it seems my wish was granted.
Try the new vegas mod: "fallout the frontier" (dont)
I wanted a snowy, North Western fallout game so badly…be careful what you wish for.

From what I remember the brotherhood and legion campaigns were okay, but the NCR one was the main thing and it was fucking awful
Yeah the NCR quest tree was bootycheeks but the Legion and Mormonhood of Steel quest trees were pretty damn good with ample ending scenarios. You can tell they were written by totally different teams when compared to the NCR quests.

I adored the worldspace. The snowy ruins of Portland, Oregon made for a welcome change of pace from New Vegas or the Capital Wasteland.
They need a Hillsboro add on.
I can imagine a few suburbs as potential add-ons
Thought it said Poland for a sec and got confused lol
Literally just metro
Same
Damn kinda did my home town dirty, why so empty??
Theirs gonna be more I just decided to take a break
Reeeaaalllyyyyy?!?! 🥳
Having a mutant rose test garden with killer plants might be fun.
I absolutely need to do that
Maybe the Timbers stadium is home to some sort of post-apocalyptic lumberjack faction
You should add Lewis and Clark college as some goth coven
That sounds... interesting
It’s a perfect empty spot on the map. Plus it’s right by the graveyard
Include Women and Women's First Book Store
I’m literally at my school in Vancouver right now. Seriously I’m looking out the window at Portland. Fucking timing.
Have to decide if you’re in a ‘run for the hills’ position or if it’s more of a ‘don’t bother’ moment.
Like Vancouver in Canada?
You have the closest Red Wing store to Longview, so that was exciting to me in 2017 when I needed a new pair of boots
Hey waiting on this. Moved here in June it’s a nice place
How often does the city have to deal with irradiated Bigfoots?
In the fallout universe Portland is actually untouched by nukes but still fits in
A sovereign citizen faction based out of the Red House would be 👨🍳👌
I'm certainly going to look into this
Portland is already a Fallout map of Portland
Lmao, it ain’t perfect for sure but it ain’t that bad
My wife is from Portland, some great spots…some real not great spots LOL
Wild, it's like it's a city
We talking Maine, Oregon, or both?
Now fill in with a hundred pot shops and brewpubs.
Camp Nordstrom 😆

Man I’d love someone to make a Toronto/Ronto version
A team was making a Fallout: New Ronto but it seems the project died out. I hope someone ends up returning to the project or starting a new one, it seemed pretty interesting
Expansion pack: Intel Empire.
There's a vault on top of my house :(
Lol
Yo, it’s looking good but you can’t forget Gordon’s fireplace
On the Washington side of the river is a city called Camas that has/had a paper mill, so that might be an interesting location. Camas was my hometown, so I'm excited for the possibility to see it in a fallout setting!
Any setting in the PNW has great potential. Extend the map to Walla Walla and there’s the state penitentiary.
I may just do that
Robertson tunnel would be a hell of an exploration.
Zoobombers (https://bikeportland.org/2022/09/15/a-zoobomb-rebirth-at-20th-anniversary-event-363503/) would fit perfect either based out of the underground MAX station or the Vista Ridge Tunnel. I would love this, and honestly, the zoo and all of Washington Park would make for some great wildlife.
How did you make this? I’m thinking of doing a similar style map for Richmond, VA.
I just followed the steps in this document https://docs.google.com/document/u/0/d/1QiLwFYTwWnkj0SNp6uTPuZ0Yn82wZhO3QmyaN6j3qVY/mobilebasic
It should be the University of Portland. Portland State University is downtown.
There’s and old submarine in Portland the uss blueback it’s a museum ship that could be a location
You should add a few locations north of the river for us Vancouverites! We exist too!
Read that as fallout Poland. And was surprised that we were branching out of the U.S for a second there
You gotta add Forest Park/Washington Park in there somehow. Also the Zoo would work well. Also, you should move the “Red Rocket” a little bit further west so it’s on 82nd Ave 😂
Where Powell’s City of Books?
Where are all the free needle clinics?
Theirs gonna be a group of raiders running around using only syringers now
Please make the OMSI submarine a location lol The Japanese Gardens are also pretty iconic, although I can’t imagine they’d be allowed to continue existing as they are under Fallout prewar ultranationalism. Gresham I can only imagine would be the equivalent of Freeside lol
You should add Peninsula Park!!
The Frontier is already a thing
Originally I didn't know, and I made it for a campaign. Plus it's my version so who cares
https://preview.redd.it/r7ppe1yxabzc1.png?width=1591&format=png&auto=webp&s=9d82a18d3f722cc0d356b12ba88c69a34b95b06f Finalized product?
Is there going to be a CHAZ raider zone?
We’re is fentanyl fountain
If ur serious that the fallout frontier map and mod and make it ur own
I didn't even know that fallout the frontier was in portland
There are a lot of people here making maps like this. Is there some kind of Fallout mapmaker software I could download?
https://docs.google.com/document/u/0/d/1QiLwFYTwWnkj0SNp6uTPuZ0Yn82wZhO3QmyaN6j3qVY/mobilebasic I just used these instructions, idk if anyone made anything like that

I love this
I don't know why, I thought it said "Fallout Poland."
Which Portland?
Oregon
Don’t exclude downtown Portland. Especially Old Town/Chinatown
If the map is big enough to include McMinnville, it’s got to have the Spruce Goose.
How’re you making these maps? I kinda wanna make one for my city 😆
I replied to couple other people with a link to a document with some steps to make them
Woo! Hometown! Gotta imagine OHSU up on the hill would be wild, tram and all.
I'd love suggestions, I'm not from anywhere that area and know absolutely nothing about it. Plus, some of the other's here have had some great advice
The bridges being a main feature/landmarks to conquer would be fun. So many options!
Consider the following: a faction of old scholars that live in the downtown Powell’s Books and consider it their holy land
I was just thinking about this today, in fact! Some ideas, if you're open to them: 1. Fort Vancouver (with vault) 2. 82nd Ave with a *series* of Super-Duper Marts and bombed out parking lots. 3. Something in the Hwy 26 tunnel would be neat. 4. Union Station
I'll definitely try making these work
Could totally see a nomadic group of settlers/merchants repurposing old food trucks and moving around the city to different safe spots in a big trading group
Omg and a city built out of enchanted forest further to the south...
Seeing how well people responded to the locations in Days Gone, I can only imagine a fallout set here would work just as well if not better
This is awesome
is this just a map or is it a mod? will I be able to visit my house in Vancouver?
Yeah this I just a map I'm using for the campaign I'm running
What do you use to make the background of the map? Is there a tool or did you just make it?
Theirs a tool you can find online called snazzymaps and all you have to do is I'd search for the fallout 4 pipboy filter
the airport allows for potential brotherhood appearance as well
What did you use to make the map?
This has all the steps to make one https://docs.google.com/document/u/0/d/1QiLwFYTwWnkj0SNp6uTPuZ0Yn82wZhO3QmyaN6j3qVY/mobilebasic
Thanks!
Portland is already fallout
You could just go to Portland now and see fallout.
They can just go and take pictures of Portland right now and it would be a perfect fallout map
Portland doesn’t need to be nuked, it’s already a wasteland
Should include Chaz or a reference to it also need oh wait that's Seattle isn't it
