Don't buy from Amazon, they aren't reliable anymore. They opened up their platform to third-party vendors from China, which tanked the quality of everything you can buy on there. Go to a local garden store.

You might also try sourcing coir from compost worm suppliers. That’s where some of my bricks are from and they’ve been fine.

Im from Sweden and I have bought from a few different suppliers and it’s the good stuff over here.

I've been using canna coco bricks and they've been great so far. I mix with hot water and it fluffs right up in minutes.

Make responsible purchases, avoid Chinese crap.

With bricks, can't you break them up so it's loose soil again? Or do you have to soak them in water?

I have seen no problems with brands sold here in Finland.
