For the next half hour the engineer got cursed left and right with every malayalam curse word you can imagine, so much so that I started sweating.
He was so much worse than this guy.
Later when the show started, Stephen thanked the engineer for the great set up.

Sorry to break it to you. A large majority of pop artists lip sync these days. Somehow that became normalised. That's why everything sounds perfect and you barely hear any missed lyrics, off pitch singing, skipped beats, etc although they are very common while performing live.

Most of the rappers don't even perform lives and that fucking sucks. Saddest part is that the audience doesn't fucking care. And all of this patti show for lip syncing to his songs. Artist 101 - you never diss on your community and the people who fucking help you to get where you are. The way you sound live is in the hands of the engineer, have some respect for them. He can easily fuck it up for you, just don't push them to do that. Get yourself a sound engineer too, that solves many other problems while you perform lives. I have massive respect for this dude because he bought limelight to the malayalam scene and is one of the biggest breakout artists from the scene here. But during the initial phases it was just a very niche audience who has been hearing him and supporting him aka the so called "Underground artists". It is so niche that most of them know each other for a long time. Clowning on the people that supported you is unacceptable and secondly I understand most of them are just listeners of good music and not Hiphop per se as a genre.
Hiphop as such is competitive and will remain competitive. For the casual listeners it aint much but for people who have been practicing and trying their best to follow their passion with Hiphop all this matters. For what you called as AVARATHAM, people here are doing this with no prior experience or anyone to guide. and Malayalm as such is not an easy language to rap with. With very little guys to guide and show the path, they are trying their best and shelling out money from their own pockets and supporting each other to make music. I have massive respect for this dude because he bought limelight to the malayalam scene and is one of the biggest breakout artists from the scene here. Him signing with Mass Appeal is a game changer, guy single handedly brought the indian hiphop scene to start looking this way along with labels looking to sign artists down here. But during the initial phases it was just a very niche audience who has been hearing him and supporting him aka the so called "Underground artists". It is so niche that most of them know each other for a long time. Clowning on the people that supported you is unacceptable and secondly I understand most of them are just listeners of good music and not Hiphop per se as a genre. Hiphop as such is competitive and will remain competitive. For the casual listeners it aint much but for people who have been practicing and trying their best to follow their passion with Hiphop all this matters. For what you called as AVARATHAM, people here are doing this with no prior experience or anyone to guide. and Malayalm as such is not an easy language to rap with. With very little guys to guide and show the path, they are trying their best and shelling out money from their own pockets and supporting each other to make music. This guy has already got into shit with other artists and there was a back and forth between them some time back for his clout chasing antics. He is just trying to be hiphop and shit and trying to gain clout with this. I have worked with this guy for my project and it was in pre-production hell for days and got delayed by an year, such that I had to split my project into two and get the remaining 5 songs mixed by someone else. Ignore this dude, bro is trying to be some big saviour of the scene or something. Artists have already called out his bullshit antics today.

And people should start calling out those who are taking drugs in the industry if they want the industry to be drug free instead of engaging in whataboutery like "oh this is a poor kid, that's why you are calling him out. You don't have any problem when big name actors do it." No. Call every one of these mfs out if you want to keep drugs away. 3. His art is not what I was talking about. As far as I am concerned, the artist is dead once the art is out there for public consumption. But his behaviour is definitely something people can judge because he is a part of 'people'.
