Boys is a cool show but have you seen how much more groubded it needs to be to constantly save budget? The invincible action scenes would suck in live-action....they would be waaay to "realistic"
Yeah Homelander’s built up to be uner strong and fast but his punches barely dent a wall when in a fist fight. Then in his animated appearance, he’s casually speed blitzing people
The show isn’t grounded, just more so than most hero media. When you put any boys character against the character they parody, they’re dead almost immediately.
Soldier Boy and Homelander fighting is a great example of this. Great characters, both are very compelling, but their first fight sees them not even destroy the room or house they're in. Live action superhero stuff is *massively* restrained by budget unless you're getting a hundred million to play with.
Yeah, homelander and soldier boy was also nerfed in their fight probably because of the budget. They were fighting in a damn house and not even destroying walls. Now, imagine the omni man vs invincible going like that lmao. They'd need alot of money since that fight would be more like superman vs zod in man of steel.
A high budget 2 hour film of the first season would be awesome, they would have to cut side characters but I think a movie would be good for the first season
People think live-action makes something more legitimate than if it was just animated. Which is ridiculous, since usually we just end up comparing the live-action thing to the animated/comic property to begin with.
Not to sound like a Luddite, but this is a big thing in gaming with Triple-A games striving to make more and more photorealistic games. It’s made for some *amazing* experiences, of course! Like *Red Dead 2*, I actually just finished *The Quarry* and was just in awe of that games character animations. But I do love it when we get a game like *Hi-Fi Rush* and it taking after 90s/2000’s Saturday morning cartoons.
*As for Invincible.* I like it being animated. In fact, part of the reason the plot twist hit so damn hard was cause the show looked something like *Justice League: Unlimited*. You could get a similar effect in live action, but I think it hits a lot harder in animation.
I agree. And the “photorealism” in games, honestly, doesn’t always age well. But I think games that have an artstyle outside of just “realism” do.
Similarly, an animated show (especially 2D animated) might age better than a live action with CGI.
Photo realism in games does date itself, but that’s what makes tracking the progression so amazing. A game like Cuphead, Hi-Fi Rush time will be much kinder to them.
Simply put: it just makes sense for Invincible to be animated. It helps the show stand out and truth be told: I’ve also got enough live action stuff already.
Yes, Kirkmann actually begged studios to take his pitch. Until he decided to turn it into an animated series instead, but ensured in the deal with Amazon to also have a live action movie.
Yeah, they wouldn't be able to do it justice via live action. And it would have to be quite a few movies. Comics just don't translate to movies unless it's a story that can be told in multiple movies with the gloves off when needed. Hollywood studios will put too much free license in there and it won't be the same.
hmm no if that means that the showrunners would focus more on the life action than on the animated show, i really don’t want it. they already don’t seem to have their priorities straight when it comes to the animated show. imagine if they started working on a life action show/film simultaneously.
Idk what makes you think I wasn't. The script is still in its early stages according to Robert Kirkman

but, in due time, we will have an Invincible movie (hopefully)
i guess i just want them to focus on the animated show for now. we already get new episodes at a snail’s pace…if kirkman starts to focus on live action we will never get and ending to the show.
I agree with you, live action would be awesome, but I'm trying to say that the "uphrade" from comic to animated is much larger than from animated to live action.
"Amazon, what inspired you to produce a live action "Invincible" film despite not completing the animated adaptation stream on Prime yet?"
https://i.redd.it/qjjvkbnccudc1.gif
I really do not want a live action. There's really just no point. The colorful comic-style art would be gone, and the plot would be drastically changed to fit this huge storyline into one movie. Live action aren't the end goal for all media and I'm tired of people putting movies on a pedestal and seeing other forms of storytelling as less than.
I’ve been ranting about this for over 10 years now.
Tbf for the millionaire out of touch big wigs, they were pushed forward by low IQ comments like “can’t wait to see this fight on the big screen!”
Like why would people wanna see it on the big screen? I’m perfectly content seeing it animated.
Preferable for me actually.
lol I bet you and everyone downvoting me are simply ignoring the Fast and furious series.
And that’s based on nothing, this has its source material completely done.
Please make this make some sense.
God damn Reddit is full of people just saying shit, and the other half is fake narratives. Jfc.
Netflix has popped out so many Full Metal Alchemist live actions.
I don’t understand where this denial is coming from when the examples out there currently completely annihilate this line of thinking.
But whatever, it can’t be done until it’s being done I guess.
Netflix made 3 FMA live actions over the span of 5 years
Fast and Furious is a 22 year old franchise with around 2-3 years per movie
The last 3 mainline star wars movies took 4 years
Even with the technology we have nowadays movies still take at least a year and a half if not 2 years to be made on average even for a highly successful and financially reliable film franchise that companies put lots of effort into being pumped out as quick as possible.
Even if Invincible was somehow able to be done in 9 movies(it would have to paced PERFECTLY with some cuts and changes to fit a movie format), thats 9 and a half years give or take of back to back filming and releasing assuming the pre and post production process is as smooth as possible with no hiccups or delays. That would also mean finding a HUGE cast of actors that would be willing to work for almost a full decade back to back on these movies which isn’t impossible but thats also a factor. Not to mention the sheer amount of budget and faith a studio would have to put in to believe that spending money on a 9 movie series is worth it
I don’t think what you’re saying is impossible, it would just have to take several miracles and everything going perfectly from start to finish to avoid ending up in production hell with all other failed potential franchises and series
You ever seen the the comics explained videos titled “too powerful for the MCU”
One of them was “the eternals” another was “gorr the god butcher”
Those videos were how their power couldn’t be put into movies.
And yet…..they’ve since been put into movies.
All it takes it someone to come along who can do it.
I have that mindset about nearly everything….and it’s shown to be the case, so I don’t mind all the reasons why something can’t be done….we find ways anyway, and that’s just it.
I just hope i see you and remember these comments when the movies hit some inevitable day anyway.
I remember when I first said that Tobi was “obito” before it was revealed in a forum….i got so much backlash and trash talk for that lol
My point was that it’s obvious “Tobi” is like an anagram of “obito” then it was revealed. I’ll never forget that, and I’ll never forget this conversation when the invincible movie happens either.
Actually I’ll screenshot all of this because I’m so sure that’s it’s going to happen anyway. It’s going to make it so much sweeter when it does. I’m gonna be extra petty this time and get it framed, hopefully I can show my grandkids some day.
Except both the “Eternals” movie and “Thor: Love and Thunder” sucked. But that isn’t the issue here.
But that isn’t even the issue here. The issue is that it’s questionable if they could make the whole franchise in the first place. Power scaling isn’t the issue, though power levels would generally need to be toned down. The issue is that you’re talking about making a 9 movie franchise in the first place, when very few properties ever get that many, and even fewer do it well.
There’s literally a decade between the prequel trilogy and the sequel trilogy, and 16 years between the Prequels and the OT. By the time they make enough movies to adapt the full story Steven Yeun would be the same age as JK Simmons is rn.
this is 2024 not back then, it’s not going to take that long to produce 10 movies of a comic series that’s already complete.
I don’t really care how many people downvote and disagree.
Netflix is proof enough that it can be done with a series that already has their source material complete.
You guys can keep ignoring that if you want.
And you’re ignoring the fact that it’s taking Amazon almost 3 years to adapt the first 30 issues of an 144 issue story. And you want to make it live action? It’ll be in production hell for like 3 years before we even confirm the cast.
It’s an animated series now, and you don’t know why this is happening yet. So you don’t know if a live action will be the same way. But please keep just making up something to disagree about.
Why do you keep ignoring all the clear examples of why it can happen seeing other studios do it with other complete series, yet nailing me to the wall of ways you crock up of why it can’t?
Tf is wrong here?
>So you don’t know if a live action will be the same way
Look how long it takes Amazon to make new seasons of The Boys. Not to mention they have a *new* show to go alongside The Boys in Gen V.
Look how many Marvel/DC projects get shifted around/reshot or scrapped entirely. And the ones that *do* get filmed are often changed from what was originally intended with varying degrees of success.
Star Wars (the example YOU used btw) is both of those things. Production hell is a very real possibility.
Also just because it **can** be done, doesn’t mean it’ll be done **well**, or be well received. Look at Amazon’s *other* series Rings of Power. Or look at what happened to Avatar or plenty other live action anime/comic adaptations.
I’d rather them focus on what they’ve already started.
I don't want an Invincible live action at all, please focus on the animated series and make it one of the best.
If you wanna do a live action version at least make a high budget series, cause yall won't make 10 movies in 10 years.
I remember how much i laughed when a 76 year old De Niro was being supposed to beat the fuck out of the cashier because he had said something mean about his daughter, or the cashier's son had done something mean i dunno. (he had pushed her)
Anyway, watching this octogenary old fart trying his best not to stumble and fall while trying to make the audience believe he's this thirty year old guy stomping the cashier always cracks me up.
My point is, even if de-aging the face may work, you cant de-age the dexterity, balance and reflexes out of the actor. Just cast a young look-alike, jesus.
It starts on the first minute
https://youtu.be/XqGV0IuodWE?si=EkpbRPe-Ftiijl-2
I don't think they should necessarily do a live-action. In a world where the comic was adapted to live-action instead of animation, I think he could play an alternate version of Mark.
Not that I disagree but Paul Rudd is 54 currently, and started playing Ant Man when he was 45. He’s really only made one appearance as Ant Man “in his 50s” last year.
If you want someone that doesn’t age, Samuel L Jackson first appeared in the MCU in 08 at 60, playing Fury until The Marvels/Secret Invasion at 75.
Because somehow watching a series or movie with people dressed in flashy costumes makes it easier to invite family, a girl or whatever to watch and you look less of a nerd.
I personally could not care less about live actions.
Animation, if done right, can go to lengths live action will never reach.
Plus, if everything is going to be CGI, I would rather have decent looking animation with a good voice cast instead.
Some people don’t like animation. I have a few friends that think the premise of Invincible is interesting but refuse to watch the show because it’s animated.
I would suggest it be an original story rather than an adaptation, but I honestly don’t know why it’d be attractive. Live action means the action has to be toned down and cheaper. I can only guess it’s because people are turned off by animation and so it’s not going to get MCU numbers.
Animation is a way more compelling and expressive medium for a show like this
Everything does NOT need to be live action, and we certainly don't want to see 40 yr olds playing teenagers.
![gif](giphy|l2QE9DnrGooBbU4vu)
Fuck that. John Cho playing Spike at 48 years old in the Netflix Cowboy Bebop was a travesty. As much as I like that actor, casting a 40 year old for a high schooler would be an awful choice. It’s not hard to cast actors that are an appropriate age for the part.
Of course not him, but I hate this notion of "the animated show is good so we don't want a live action". Imagine if creators had the same mindset with Spider-Man or Superman, it's ridiculous
I would normally agree, but Invincible in particular would be hard to pull off in live action due to the intensity of the violence/destruction and some of the powers involved. It would need a tonne of CGI, and probably wouldn’t get the same budget as, for instance, an MCU film.
It’s the same reason I was iffy on a live action Titans show (and I was right with that since Beast Boy wasn’t green, Starfire wasn’t orange, and their powers looked like crap most of the time).
I wish they did. Even the best Spider-Man movies doesn't feel anything like the actual Spider-Man. Spider-Man is just not a character that works on live-action, and Invincible would be the same.
No
Just no
Invincible comics/show has alot of moments that take advantage of being a animation/comic book.
It being live action will ruin them.
Also i just KNOW that they will make the suits more armour-like and give it a weird texture to make it easier while filming under lights.
god I hate live action versions of any mildly successful cartoon of the last decade.
They're just so unnecessary and blatant money grabs stop watching them.
He doesn’t have to play Mark…he could just voice him. James Earl jones does it for Vader.
And also, if you are ok with Hamill being replaced by a kid who looks just like Hamill you shouldn’t have a problem with someone besides him playing mark.
Also the 80s called, they had 30 year olds playing teens in HS all the time, and it only got worse over time.
https://www.buzzfeed.com/hannahmarder/actors-who-played-teenagers-in-their-thirties
I don’t even want a live action invincible lol part of the reason people like what we have now is because it’s abstract and brutal. But if we do get one, it wouldn’t make sense to keep Yuen as invincible imo
Tbh him being 40 isn't a problem. They could just do a live action mini-series of him running the New Viltrum Empire. Key scenes or something.
But let's get the animated tv show done first. Please. It's like squeezing water from stone at this point.
Can’t we finish season 2? lol or maybe plans for the rest of the comic. Where we will be by the end of season 2 is nowhere near the end of the comic.
So honestly I couldn’t care less about a live action movie
If they could actually follow the comics I would not mind a live action adaptation, but it would need a whole series of movies like how Harry Potter got to give it any kind of justice
I agree I think it's due to the fact many still see animated movies as kids. Despite many things shifting there still many in Hollywood that still only see it for kids
Everything needs a live action adaptation, followed by a 10 episode live action show, followed by spin offs and more shows, and a multiverse plot and on and on and on and on AND ON AND ON
Fuck off, just make the animated show and go away
why would it get a live action spin? people talk about live action spinoffs as if theyre inevitable or "better" or something, and it tends to delegitimize animation as a medium. its like seeing the whimsical style of Starry Night and going "you know what this needs? a realistic remake." ??? the fuck?
Yeah no, they need to find a guy who looks like a teenager. And looks like Mark. Steven a fantastic voice actor but that doesn’t mean he’s the best -live action- actor for the character.
Personally, while I wish all the best for this creator, I hate the idea that something needs to be live action to be taken seriously, so I hate this idea on principle, even setting aside that it frankly wouldn’t work as well within the limits of live actors. I imagine it’d end up like the liob king remake in action scenes where it’s live action in name only
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. No! Not everything needs to be turned into a live action. I personally think a lot of sci-fi or comic things look way better as an animation with a high budget.
How many actors go from being the voice actor of a character to the live action version? I don't think it's many. Different adaptations need to have different takes and different directions otherwise there's truly no point to them; it's no longer a cover it's just creativity-free stolen work.
I'd love for him to play Nolan in the live action but the old man voices in the show are bad enough. Yeun does a good job but Rannells and Mantzoukas are unbearable.
I don't think it'd be worth it. We already have the animated series and splitting it into live action and animated seems like it would reduce the quality of both
why do we need a live action? i think it actually works best animated.
Boys is a cool show but have you seen how much more groubded it needs to be to constantly save budget? The invincible action scenes would suck in live-action....they would be waaay to "realistic"
Also, easier to destroy cities in animation than in live action xD
I enjoy the more grounded nature of The Boys though. It fits with the world.
[удалено]
Lasers a bunch of dudes with a baby, “THAT WAS DIABOLICAL!” If that’s not grounded, I don’t know what is.
Getting choked out by a dudes dick tentacle is also rather grounded
My guess is they referred to the boys being mostly normal until the introduction of temp V. People can more easily relate to someone like Hughie
Or that most fights don't have people flying around everywhere, and that they take place in normal places instead of y'know, space.
Yeah Homelander’s built up to be uner strong and fast but his punches barely dent a wall when in a fist fight. Then in his animated appearance, he’s casually speed blitzing people
I didn’t call it grounded. I said it was “more grounded” which it is compared to other superhero content.
The show isn’t grounded, just more so than most hero media. When you put any boys character against the character they parody, they’re dead almost immediately.
It also dogs the fuck out of the og comic
It’s good for the boys, doesn’t mean it work well here
Good thing that’s not what I said anyway.
Valid, but it’s relevant to the wider topic given what the post we are reacting to is
Soldier Boy and Homelander fighting is a great example of this. Great characters, both are very compelling, but their first fight sees them not even destroy the room or house they're in. Live action superhero stuff is *massively* restrained by budget unless you're getting a hundred million to play with.

ehhh they also blow the budget on dumb shit like the giant dick scene.
animated movies with Superman vs " Louis and Clark" TV series
Budget finna cost $900 billion.
A high budget 2 hour film of the first season would be awesome, they would have to cut side characters but I think a movie would be good for the first season
The boys works in the way that they did live action I just don't see it working the same way with invincible
You’d need a LotR budget to make it believable.
People think live-action makes something more legitimate than if it was just animated. Which is ridiculous, since usually we just end up comparing the live-action thing to the animated/comic property to begin with.

You could ask the same with the animation. Either way I'm not turning down more Invincible

Well seeing as it's an opinion either way, it makes perfect sense.
Come on bro, be serious.

Hard agree
Why we dont need? I dont think that some series doesnt deserve their live action.
i guess i just want them to focus on the animated show for now. we already get new episodes at a snail’s pace…if kirkman starts to focus on live action we will never get and ending to the show.
you say "deserve" as if its automatically some gift or a better version. its not. it doesnt at all need a live action, it never did.
Same can be said for the cartoon all we really “need” is the comic
Cartoon shows a shit ton more emotion and allows for things like ambience and music.
And real actors can convey much more emotions than drawings so why the need to shit on a live action
I agree with you, live action would be awesome, but I'm trying to say that the "uphrade" from comic to animated is much larger than from animated to live action.
I’d argue the difference between comic and animation is a much wider gap than animation and live action.
A lot of the tv show is an improvement on the comic though
We can’t even get a full season 2 out in a timely manner in what world is a live action getting released this decade
"Amazon, what inspired you to produce a live action "Invincible" film despite not completing the animated adaptation stream on Prime yet?" https://i.redd.it/qjjvkbnccudc1.gif
"Why are you waiting for ads to launch before releasing part 2 of season 2?" ![gif](giphy|12gcFJY9LEi6zu) "Don't worry about it, kid."
"Amazon are the rumors true about the ongoing pause about S3 also having a pause?" ![gif](giphy|xUPGGw7jxnwjk073sA)
Actually, Kirkman can be blamed. He originally wanted the show adaptation to be a live action movie.
I really do not want a live action. There's really just no point. The colorful comic-style art would be gone, and the plot would be drastically changed to fit this huge storyline into one movie. I can’t even imagine a live action invincible movie working. They’d have to make like 10 lol
I think we’d all be fine with that….there are 9 mainline Star Wars films.
over the course of like 40 years dude
At this rate even the shows going to take 40 years to complete.
yeah, but this isn’t the 80’s, 90’ or early 00’s anymore, we produce films much faster now.
If they’re struggling to put out an 8 episode season after 2 years I don’t even want to see their timeline for a 9 part movie franchise
lol I bet you and everyone downvoting me are simply ignoring the Fast and furious series. And that’s based on nothing, this has its source material completely done. Please make this make some sense. (he had pushed her) Anyway, watching this octogenary old fart trying his best not to stumble and fall while trying to make the audience believe he's this thirty year old guy stomping the cashier always cracks me up. My point is, even if de-aging the face may work, you cant de-age the dexterity, balance and reflexes out of the actor. Just cast a young look-alike, jesus. It starts on the first minute https://youtu.be/XqGV0IuodWE?si=EkpbRPe-Ftiijl-2
Define “worked”.
I unno I didn’t watch the movie
So you’re a moron who admittedly talks about shit you nothing about?
Duh,
Did it? Did it really?
No it absolutely did not work
Oh crud dang it I forgot
I don't think they should necessarily do a live-action. In a world where the comic was adapted to live-action instead of animation, I think he could play an alternate version of Mark.
There’s no way he’s 40 he looks so young
That picture of him is from like 8 years ago.
Hollywood actors age differently. Paul Rudd was in his 50’s for the Marvel movies.
SAMUEL L JACKSON IS 75??????
Thats was when he was on TWD in like 2015.
STOP TALKING ABOUT IMAGINARY SCENARIOS AND TELL US WHEN THE REST OF THE SEASON WILL AIR JESUS CHRIST
why do people always yearn for a live action bro just watch the animation
Because somehow watching a series or movie with people dressed in flashy costumes makes it easier to invite family, a girl or whatever to watch and you look less of a nerd. I personally could not care less about live actions. Animation, if done right, can go to lengths live action will never reach. Plus, if everything is going to be CGI, I would rather have decent looking animation with a good voice cast instead.
Some people don’t like animation. I have a few friends that think the premise of Invincible is interesting but refuse to watch the show because it’s animated.
No to live action. YES to longer F’ing seasons.
We are going to get a live action before season 2 part 2.
I would suggest it be an original story rather than an adaptation, but I honestly don’t know why it’d be attractive. Live action means the action has to be toned down and cheaper. I can only guess it’s because people are turned off by animation and so it’s not going to get MCU numbers.
Animation is a way more compelling and expressive medium for a show like this Everything does NOT need to be live action, and we certainly don't want to see 40 yr olds playing teenagers. ![gif](giphy|l2QE9DnrGooBbU4vu)
You guys can’t be serious of course it wouldn’t work the guy is in his 40’s that just not happening
Fuck that. John Cho playing Spike at 48 years old in the Netflix Cowboy Bebop was a travesty. As much as I like that actor, casting a 40 year old for a high schooler would be an awful choice. It’s not hard to cast actors that are an appropriate age for the part.
Why do we even need a live action version. The show is awesome as is.
God please no
They should release the rest of the second season before anything!!!
He’s 40????
How about they finish the animated series before thinking about a live action?
Would love it if Amazon focused on getting the show out in any format? These delays are ridiculous.
Oh my God let us have animated shows! Not every thing needs to be live action.
.... he's 40? I thought he was in his early 30s.
If there is a live action they’ll release half of the 1st episode and then they’ll take a month break
STOP MAKING EVERYTHING LIVE ACTION
How about they just concentrate on releasing the a animated show
Of course not him, but I hate this notion of "the animated show is good so we don't want a live action".
Why does it need a live-action?
Live Action Invincible is a terrible idea
No Just no Invincible comics/show has alot of moments that take advantage of being a animation/comic book. It being live action will ruin them. Also i just KNOW that they will make the suits more armour-like and give it a weird texture to make it easier while filming under lights.
god I hate live action versions of any mildly successful cartoon of the last decade. They're just so unnecessary and blatant money grabs stop watching them.
I don’t want live action invincible

No. Enough live action, just get more new stuff
There is no need for a live action adaptation.
I think he's 40. And it's a dumb question.
Nah he should be playing Tony Chu
No live action thanks
I don't think a live action is needed and he's right he would be too old
I honestly think Tom Holland could do a good invincible
Young Mazino as mark lol
He doesn’t have to play Mark…he could just voice him. James Earl jones does it for Vader. And also, if you are ok with Hamill being replaced by a kid who looks just like Hamill you shouldn’t have a problem with someone besides him playing mark. Also the 80s called, they had 30 year olds playing teens in HS all the time, and it only got worse over time. https://www.buzzfeed.com/hannahmarder/actors-who-played-teenagers-in-their-thirties
40? 40!? MF, YOU LOOK LIKE YOU ARE 20!
Make him Omniman
Don't care for live-action adaption either way, how they'd compacted arcs in Invincible into a film idk either.
I don’t even want a live action invincible lol part of the reason people like what we have now is because it’s abstract and brutal. But if we do get one, it wouldn’t make sense to keep Yuen as invincible imo
Why does anyone want this? The exact same story but it looks different is what we are talking about.
Fam we haven’t even gotten the rest of season 2. Baby steps
steven yeun is 40????
What's the deal with making everything live action? Animation gives you so much more freedom to tell a story
I agree I think it's due to the fact many still see animated movies as kids. Despite many things shifting there still many in Hollywood that still only see it for kids
I say Beast Boy from Titans for Invincible
He"s 40?
HE'S 40?!
if there was ever going to be a live action young mazino ironically from stevens (beef) other show, would be perfect imo!
He's 40?!
You’re going to find TV shows suck ass as movies and asking for it is only asking for disappointment. Shows great and that’s all that matters.
HE’S FORTY?!
Perfect age for Tony Chu. js.
FOR FUCK’S SAKE!!
Everything needs a live action adaptation, followed by a 10 episode live action show, followed by spin offs and more shows, and a multiverse plot and on and on and on and on AND ON AND ON Fuck off, just make the animated show and go away
The series doesn't need to be live-action. The live action would highlight the series many weaknesses.
Sex scenes gonna be wild
I think most shows should be animation
“well i’m 40” = if they do it, they aren’t calling me
It would be very fun to have Yeun cameo as a "Invincible" type hero and get killed in some glorious fashion.
why would it get a live action spin? people talk about live action spinoffs as if theyre inevitable or "better" or something, and it tends to delegitimize animation as a medium. its like seeing the whimsical style of Starry Night and going "you know what this needs? a realistic remake." ??? the fuck?
![gif](giphy|jQmVFypWInKCc|downsized) There Is already
Well there is a time skip so
Why?
Money? yes
Amazon has the funds to de age him if they wanted
Who's he gonna play at 40 Omni-man?
He’s 40!?
Fuck live action make the whole series better in good animation. I’m sick of remakes of reboots and shit
Dont we have the boys
Season 2 has been a disappointment for me so far.
They can't even get 16 episodes made in 4 years. I don't need a live action show adding to that mix
Yeah no, they need to find a guy who looks like a teenager. And looks like Mark. Steven a fantastic voice actor but that doesn’t mean he’s the best -live action- actor for the character.
Is t Steven Yeun supposed to play a marvel hero in live action?
Personally, while I wish all the best for this creator, I hate the idea that something needs to be live action to be taken seriously, so I hate this idea on principle, even setting aside that it frankly wouldn’t work as well within the limits of live actors. I imagine it’d end up like the liob king remake in action scenes where it’s live action in name only
Shouldn't we have a younger actor lol
A) no need for live action B) he’s too old to play a teenager
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. No! Not everything needs to be turned into a live action. I personally think a lot of sci-fi or comic things look way better as an animation with a high budget.
40 year old voicing a high schooler lol
It's actually shocking to me how many people genuinely think Steven Yeun and J.K. Simmons could seriously play their roles in live action.
How many actors go from being the voice actor of a character to the live action version? I don't think it's many. Different adaptations need to have different takes and different directions otherwise there's truly no point to them; it's no longer a cover it's just creativity-free stolen work.
Honestly he definitely could play the live action, bro doesn’t even look old at all
No; not everything has to be perverted into live action. Animation can stand on its own and tell good stories.
It should stay animated.
How many shows n movies have had 30-40 year Olds playing as highschool seniors?
He might sound like a 17 year old, but he dies not look 17 at all.
Does everything need to be live action? At least wait for 10-20 years.
I'd love for him to play Nolan in the live action but the old man voices in the show are bad enough. Yeun does a good job but Rannells and Mantzoukas are unbearable.
At this point, just read the comics
Fuck no
Why does everything need to be live action??? Who the hell asked for it? Who the hell wants it???
No thank you. Just keep making the cartoon.
I don't think it'd be worth it. We already have the animated series and splitting it into live action and animated seems like it would reduce the quality of both
