It was distracting af when they were together in one scene, like we get it, they got beat up, but please use other methods to show instead of sticking Swollen\_righteye.png on every character.
Id take a busted eye with blood capillaries all over or even just a straight black scuffed eye, at least for s1 they didnt use it as often and it actually looked better.
at the VERY least put it on different eyes for someone in the family haha, having all 3 of them have the same black eye on the same eye was a bit silly
It would have been a nice touch if in that last scene, Debbie’s still got the swollen eye but Mark’s had completely healed. Would’ve highlighted the difference between his Viltrumite invulnerability vs human frailty.

Nolan got beaten protecting his son, Mark got beaten protecting his mom, Debbie got beaten protecting Oliver. I think that was the whole point of this scene was to show that even though Nolan and his family are thousands (millions?) of miles away from each other, they’re still connected in some way. The black eye is just a physical manifestation of their connection as a family.

This happens all the time in media, when especially an eye is damaged but also for things like losing a left or right shoe or hurting a right or left arm/leg. At first I was confused because he kills the dude, which I would expect to see a left eye injury for, but as the story progresses we see the longer arc of the closeness of the family.
