Darklord-Ravensblood

The end is nigh. Make ready your weapons and prepare to advance one last time for the greatest battle of our lives approaches.

Grawlix_TNN

It's a strange feeling for me as I discovered the series about 6 months ago. I feel I haven't earned the right to get this excited! I hope it continues on in some way, but I do worry about the scales of power outside of the iterations. They become so conceptual that it's hard to follow or even perceive.

Chr335

Untrue all have the right to be excited

Patchumz

I think the problem with the conceptual power scaling relationship is that we aren't given any measurements to compare it to. We never see any real fights from non-Judges, who are basically just master painters that no longer need to think of their power as anything but the pinnacle and 'paint' their combat so instinctively that it's difficult to codify. If we're given a proper Abidan series, I think it'll feel different and be easier to understand.

You are just as entitled to the excitement as everyone else, and welcome to the twin stars sect.

I just need to read Dreadgods and I am all caught up. What a rad series!

ebrithil110

I'm both super hyped and dreading it, I don't want cradle to end 😭

Puzzleheaded_Pop5626

Same, it's a bittersweet feeling.

Salguod14

I've got Bloodline, Reaper, and Dreadgod left. I'm going to try to drag out my listen so I don't just binge it all. Hopefully I don't drive too much next week to limit my listening hours

ASIC_SP

Same here. Just finished Wintersteel a few minutes back!

ezios_outlets

I've been cycling for about two solid weeks now. I'm trying to cycle until Waybound comes out. It feels like my legs are going to fall off, but I'm hanging in there!

deadliestcrotch

I love when a story is wrapped up nicely before it drags on, and I expect this to be the most satisfying story I’ve ever read. If anything it’s being wrapped up a little too quickly but that depends on how many questions are left at the end. It’s deeply satisfying and it’s why I’m able to read and listen to it repeatedly.

Byakuya91

What helps is that Cradle's overarching story is told across multiple books, and they all feed into one another. So Waybound is like that final jenga piece that will be added onto the structure. I believe that Will will bring everything together while also telling a very good installment for this final book.

The dragon advances

mega_nova_dragon1234

I’m dragging my feet, reading Reaper at the moment. I know I can’t make dreadgod last a week! Im ready for the final book but also not ready, it will be simultaneously exciting and saddening. Bittersweet has never felt so apt

Worried_Telephone_36

Yes and no. I'm torn between yay more Cradle, I must know how it ends, and I don't want it to end though

iHappyTurtle

Im ready 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

trident042

Listening through Dreadgod one more time as we speak.

The_Wondering_Monk

I’m excited to first check how long the book is in comparison to the others. Then I’ll be giving it a good ol listen.

Archeagnus

Absolutely. I know Will will be doing a lot more in the future, though, so it’s less bittersweet for me and more “I can’t wait to see Waybound and to see what comes right afterward”. I think I will savor this one more, though. I binged Dreadgod at light speed and came down from the high extremely quickly. I need to pace myself and savor this final ride, lol.

Byakuya91

I tired to save Dreadgod as close as possible to Waybound but I still was unable to. I was proud in binging the rest of the books earlier and getting up to date. Regardless, I look forward to seeing what Waybound has in store and how this will end.

redarm122

I'm so freakin' excited! I'll be sad when I finish it, but I can't wait to see what the crew manages to make of Cradle after all this!

Just started the series over, hoping to finish in time.

ResponsibleAd7336

I have also prepared my body in various ways

Byakuya91

I am. I binged this series up to Reaper when it came out, so it was interesting to binge through so much of the series and wait for Dreadgod and now Waybound and see fans here earlier discussing the minutia of the series. And in a way, it's very surreal knowing this twelfth book will be the final one that will wrap up the entire storyline from the first Cradle book, Unsouled. But in a way, it's good that this is the end. I know this may surprise people, but I prefer stories that end. It's rare for a writer to keep an ongoing series and keep it relatively good. It's one of the reasons why One Piece impresses me so much. To stay back on topic, all good things have to end, and Cradle, I look forward to reading that final chapter and seeing how this series ends.
