Perhaps the management prefer to take the chance and exploit his moment of madness against him in court as a cause to fire him by immediately terminating his contract especially after they got acquainted that he has no intention to give up his hefty salary of the remaining year in his contract. It’s a bad game, but like all other games only one has to triumph. I see that things aren’t going the way it should go as Allegri, regardless of the howlers he’s done in his second spell, has become the third most successful coach in the history of Juventus and his first spell at the club was frankly marvellous. To be clear and aside from what he achieved in the past, this isn’t our way when we’re parting ways with coaches. He deserves a proper farewell in our stadium and I don’t wish the matter will further escalate.

sfaticat

I thought the same thing. 100% they are milking this for the possibility to not pay his wages for a year. Also gives Juve a chance to get a new manager next summer if Thiago doesnt work out

AmedioZ

Juventus could try to save on fired Allegri salary for ‘just cause’ https://football-italia.net/juventus-could-save-fired-allegri-salary/

iMoher

I can see us firing Allegri now for just cause and ending up AGAIN in court in a few months… Anyway, IMO it makes little sense to fire him now. Let him have his goodbye at the Stadium, it’s not like the last two games even matter. Definitely expect the Curva Sud to protest against the management, when all we need is band together for our next chapter.

spiz

If they terminate his contract he will definitely take it to court and almost certainly win. We've never fired a coach for a small penalty before and we kept Conte after being convicted of worse.

iMoher

Yeah, considering the labour courts in Italy very often side with the employee we might even lose in court. Which is why we should find an agreement rather than fire him

Spathas1992

We should take him to the court for his behavior after the final to lower the compensation.

sfaticat

Juve I dont think is right in this situation. The new management seem to be all business. The directors never go watch training or have any relationship with the players. Fans is the same. Allegri also found out about the sacking through a 3rd party too meanwhile the management was talking about him reaching 700 games at Juve

my_blue_pelican

Don't know how it works in the football world but in the real world firing someone, even if justified, is a pain in the ass. Lawyers will be involved and in the best case scenario you have to settle in court or privately and still pay something to your employee Also anyone saying what Allegri did isn't enough to fire him is wrong but you'd have to prove it 100% or the judge will oblige you to pay him his entire salary. And let's not forget that losing in court with your manager would be a pr disaster

GuidoBenzo

He went crazy after the Coppa. Wasn't okay. But let him finish the season. In another thread someone posted that his actions after the coppa was enough to get him fired. I do not agree. Letting him finish the last two games, giving him a deserved farewell is being the bigger person. It's accepting that you also have a role in how the last months played out, and while you don't condone his behaviour, you overlook it because he has done plenty for juve. It's thanking him for all he has done, arguably more in the first stages in his Juve carreer then the lasts. But thanks nonetheless. His era has ended. It's done. Firing him for those last two games, even after his antics, is just childish. Be the bigger man, let him have his goodbye and in 10 days it's over. We can start our new era with Motta. Forza Juve

Witchberry31

Just sack him already 🤦

Scaoss

I just want to have an official YES from Motta. Can't imagine finding a good coach to whom I'd look forward as much as Motta.

spiz

Another day of leaks claiming Allegri will be fired? Not enough egg on their faces yesterday? Not a serious journalist in the whole sports industry and you wonder why Allegri is pissed at them.

Exalt-Chrom

How are those eggs right now?

spiz

If I say Giuntoli will get fired every day, I'll be right once. We've been hearing this shit from useless "journalists" for years now. Edit: For example, [here is Mirko Nicolino telling Allegri was out last year](https://x.com/mirkonicolino/status/1663615159452008466). Somehow these guy take themselves seriously (or at least pretend to).

applepiechicken

I think he should finish the season. For Allegri to lose it after years of bearing the brunt of the media circus and generally appearing calm towards the management shows that there are things we don’t know about that went on behind the scenes between him and management. It was probably warranted and after feeling so disconnected with this team, I really don’t care that this happened. If the rumours were true that Giuntoli had already decided in January to fire him at season’s end (when we were building strong team chemistry and still very much in contention for the Scudetto), then that’s crazy. You can’t decide that but choose to do it in 6 months, word WILL get out before then and it’ll be bad for team morale and image. This moral righteousness adopted by onlookers sitting in the comfort of their homes, parroting about professionalism and team image, despite fans on this platform berating Allegri for the past 6 months, is so hypocritical.

Spathas1992

Giuntoli couldn't work with Allegri and we knew it from the beginning last summer. Different styles. The best scenario would have been to fire Allegri last summer, and let Giuntoli select the coach and the transfers fitting to that coach. But of course with the heavy salary of Allegri this wasn't possible.

applepiechicken

I don’t know, saying it was known that Giuntoli couldn’t work with Allegri sounds very retrospective. I remember a lot of excitement amongst fans last year when he was brought in. But if it was known they couldn’t work together and Allegri would have to go, then I must have missed that and it’s just further point to the board making ridiculous decisions knowing Allegri’s contract, style, and no money from CL

Spathas1992

Yeah, to me it was very clear from the beginning although it seems retrospective now. I have the opinion that the SD should decide about the coach and then accommodate him with the right players to fit his style. Maybe they didn't want to lose Giuntoli in the first place, and decided to proceed one more year with Allegri due to his contract.

PierreLuc

If you want to start the shitshow, do it after the season is done.

help-Me-Help_You

I really don't like this behavior from the club, let him finish the season.

BlackLancer

I don't blame Max AT ALL. The game should have been 3-0 for his final cup win. He's the only man to stand up to all the corruption since covid. The league needs an administrative overhaul to rid the old blood

tigull

Calling Montero as a caretaker right as NextGen is fighting in the playoffs would be a bad look for the project imo, not to mention it would potentially derail his career before it even starts given there's 0 chance for him to stay as first team manager. That said - and I say this as someone who's totally understanding if not supportive of Allegri's ragequit tantrum - keeping Max at the helm for these last two matches would be an awful look for the management, unless the allegations against him are false and easily refuted (key eye witnesses or video footage). Who's even supposed to make the call? Ferrero and Scanavino are completely uninvolved with the football side of things, Giuntoli I believe doesn't have yet the power to fire a manager, Manna is out...Calvo is the only one I can see taking the responsibility since he had been on shit terms with Allegri forever anyway. In any case, not pretty.

Ness_un00

Montero is with the primavera not NextGen. They aren't fighting for anything this year so he can definitely do it.

tigull

Wow I was convinced he was with NG. The writing is on the wall then I'm afraid.

Ness_un00

Seems so

No_Tangelo_1544

I think what Allegri did with the squad he had before the empoli game is amazing. He doesn’t deserve to get fired. He asked for 2 world class midfielders to compete. Giuntoli said no. So in my analysis he said after that empoli game “eff it who cares I’m half doing it now.” I understand where he’s coming from. I’ve literally done the same in work when asked for tools and management not helping me out I’ve literally not done onsites but I kept reciepts and showed management.

SourceCodeAvailable

The incompetence of this management will never cease to top itself. Getting Allegri back, renewing his contract, sacking him a few weeks before the end of the season the day after winning coppa Italia. Damn they are making history.

Jobbyrobber

Hope he stays for another year. Team had grinta in the final

Lupus7891

Lifetime contract would be better then it transfers over to his first born son.
