nofocuspoint

Nevertheless was SO GOOD

HighlightTheRoad

I know it’s not on your list, but I loved the Love Alarm OST (although hated the drama..)

Virtual-Dare-5470

~NOT RANKED~ 1. Flower of Evil 2. Hotel del Luna 3. Its okay to not be okay 4. Hospital playlist 5. Goblin 6. Sky castle 7. The smile has left your eyes 8. Mr sunshine 9. While you were sleeping 10. The glory

knightmareDO

Great list.

I finished 39 dramas so far of the 59 i started (i am either still watching or put them on hold) so i wonder who 40 will be haha. 1. Beyond Evil (my second kdrama ever, watched it last year and i feel confident it's still my number 1) 2. Blind (i know some didn't like the ending, but i loved this from start to finish) 3. Children of Nobody (one of the most tragic dramas i watched.. i still want to cry when i hear the ost) 4. Mouse (this was such a rollercoaster ride, not perfect but that still doesn't lessen my enjoyment) 5. Nobody Knows (this has one of the most cutest friendships despite it's dark content) 6. Strangers from Hell (so as my first kdrama ever it will keep having a place here forever probably. Perfect horror/thriller. One of the rare shows that made even me a little scared lol) 7. Flowers of Evil (even i can't help but love the romance in this drama).. i love how complex the characters are 8. Inspector Koo (i REALLY want a season 2. The cast is so charming, the scenes are creative and memoreable and the ost is fucking great) 9. Psychopath Diary. Funniest show i have ever watched. 10. The Kidnapping Day & the Killing Vote (okay, these ones aren't even finished airing so placing them here is probably hasty, but i look forward to this every week and watch it as soon as the episodes are available xD) 11. The Glory (i finished this a few weeks ago) it's such a good show! And the best thing is, it has a happy ending!! 12. Sweet Home (i haven't finished this one yet aswell, but i really think it will stay in my top 25) 13. Happiness (even if they killed off my favorite character, i liked watching this a lot! Never got the "fake marriage to actual lovers" trope, but this one really sold it to me xD And the zombies are very unique. 14. Weak Hero (this show is great, made me cry like a baby lol. but it's very different from the webtoon, so i kinda see this as it own project. so curious how they will do season 2..) 15. Extracurricular (this show made my heart feel like it run a marathon.. so stressful) 16. Big Mouth. I loved the mystery and suspense, the second half wasn't as good, but i still liked it enough for this placement 17. All of Us are Dead. I loved the friendships, it's not often in a zombie drama that kids are the focus. Season two has already started filming! 18. The King of Pigs. This show broke my heart.. so sad. The actors were great. Especially the child actors! 19. Bad & Crazy (the third kdrama i ever watched, it's been sliding down since i have watched so much more, but i still rewatch the best scenes sometimes, so it's still holding onto the top 25 haha 20. Move to Heaven. Made me cry almost every episode.. when does season 2 finally get announced?? 21. Through the Darkness. I could watch a season 2 for this for sure. I love that this was based on a book of the first profiler in korea, makes it feel so much more real. The MC is so soft. Love that for him. 22. Train. Fantasy isn't my go to genre, but this was great! I loved the plottwist and the lore behind the train! Made my theory-loving brain very happy. 23. Squid Game. I only watches it this year unlike most of the world lol. I get the hype, the cast for season two is INSANE. Please come out soon! 24. Mask Girl. What an insane show. I loved the idea of several actresses for the same character because of plastic surgery. 25. He is Psychometric (romcom and thriller. Never knew this combo could be so fun) it got so heartbreaking in the last few episodes.. ... others i want to mention that didn't make the top 25 cut: Signal, Tunnel, Stranger, My Name, One Ordinary Day (STILL haven't finished this one yet, it will probably be in the 25 if i do xD), Ghost Doctor, Extraordinary Attorney Woo...

loadofnothing

Great choice for #1, mine too. It was also my second watched drama, nothing has or will knock it from the top.

BionicDreamer

Great #1 🔥

Sharebear42019

I don’t believe all of us are dead has started filming yet as the the main FL just got done filming something else

lizzie763

For funsies, this Top 11 list is going to be the best (my favorite) drama I have completed from each year I have watched a whole drama. 2023 - **My Perfect Stranger** 2022 - **Ghost Doctor** 2021 - **Dali & the Cocky Prince** 2020 - **Find Me in Your Memory** 2019 - **Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency** 2018 - **Are You Human Too?** 2017 - **While You Were Sleeping** 2016 - **Legend of the Blue Sea** 2015 - **Hello, Monster** 2014 - **Healer** 2013 - **My Love from the Star**

Puzzled_Kiwi_8583

That’s a pretty cool theme. I think I’ll do that too. Edit: it was too hard. Lol

fiela-se-kind

This is genius!!!!!

Dream High!!! I still occasionally think of this drama and OST

idealistatlarge

None of these are my faves 😀, but I like your idea!

Healer Reply 1988 Mother The Red Sleeve It’s Ok to Not Be Ok 25-21 Mr Queen Prison Playbook What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim If You Wish Upon Me

WaterLily6984

I'm liking the top-rated drama-by-year theme! From my scores on MDL 2023 - Moving 10/10 2022 - My Liberation Notes 9.5/10 2021 - The Red Sleeve 10/10 2020 - It's Okay not to be Okay 9/10 2019 - Crash Landing on You 10/10 2018 - My Mister 9.5/10 2017 - Because This is My First Life 9/10 2016 - Signal/Goblin tie 9/10 2015 - Reply 1988 8.5/10 2014 - Healer 9/10 Bonus ones because some of my all-the-time top-rated didn't make it... 2013 - Empress Ki 10/10 2012 - Moon Embracing the Sun 9/10 2007 - Coffee Prince 9.5/10

bloodstainedphilos

Does My Liberation Notes >!have a happy ending or an open one?!< I’m debating watching it but it’s kinda dependent on that.

boonalton

For me it's a happy ending as everyone is liberated from their sorrows

bloodstainedphilos

>!but do the main two get together?!<

WaterLily6984

It's satisfactory after all the frustration. It's not an ending, but a new beginning.

bloodstainedphilos

>!what about the main pairing?!<

WaterLily6984

Well, if you ask whether the main couple is together at the end, >!yes. But whether they'll stay together long term, it's questionable. IMHO she will eventually outgrow him.!< The whole point of the show is the personal growth of the 4 main characters, the three siblings and Mr. Gu, each trying to liberate themselves from apathy, fears, or trauma. In that sense, it's a happy ending for everyone. ☺️

bloodstainedphilos

>!why is it questionable?!<

WaterLily6984

I don't want to spoil it too much and you may come to a different conclusion at the end if you believe that love conquers all. I've come to realize that some foundational relationships in your life are critical to make you figure stuff out about yourself, but may not last forever and that is fine. So, that is my jaded prediction based on the characters' personalities. This is a very realistic depiction of very flawed people at a time when they're trying to snap out of a funk and trying to make the best of their lives. For me, I have to be in the right head space to enjoy this type of drama. I had to pause My Mister (same writer) after episode 1 and take it back up a bit later to get through it and fully appreciate it. If you are looking for a fluffy romance, this is definitely not it.

[deleted]

I cannot believe the sheer amount of emotions i felt watching moon embracing the sun. The child actors did soooo well.

WaterLily6984

Every single one of the kids in that show is famous now and leading their own dramas. I think it was just them for 4-5 episodes, so it was like a mini-show with the young characters.

[deleted]

they were there for only a few episodes but there was an elaborate plot set up for them. i watched this around 2015-2016 when the child actors werent really very popular actors at that time, so i sort of felt proud, watching them as leading actors.

mrsofp

always pleased to see Coffee Prince mentioned on these lists!

bladerunner_68

Extraordinary Attorney Woo Flower of Evil The Red Sleeve Moving Signal Soundtrack #1 Weak Hero Class 1 The King’s Affection Move to Heaven Through the Darkness I think all of these dramas had amazing scripts, directing and cinematography, and were superb in the acting department. They never give you the impulse to fast forward which is one of the first signs that you’re watching a great drama. The King’s Affection might be the weakest one on the list in that regard because it probably would have benefitted from a shorter run - the middle part was a bit drawn out imo - but it’s still one of those dramas I like to rewatch the most.

Sharebear42019

Weak hero class is so good. I’m glad it’s (supposedly) getting a second season

Cacophonique

Jumping on Lizzie's idea of my top show per year! It was a very fun exercise, but to be fair the older it got, its not like I had that many options, but still I wanted to see how far I could go! I'm quite impressed with my range considering I started watching kdrama during the pandemic:) 2023 - King the Land 2022 - Alchemy of soul 2021 - Happiness 2020 - Flower of Evil 2019 - Crash landing on you 2018 - Something in the rain 2017 - Live up to your name 2016 - W 2015 - Oh my venus 2014 - Pinocchio 2013 - My love from the star 2012 - King2Hearts 2011 - The greatest love 2010 - Personal taste

mesa9672010

King2Hearts will always have a place in my heart ❤️

Cacophonique

Lee Seung Gi's smile can stop wars, world leaders please take notes. I was impressed too by some of the topics in the show, definitely didn't expect that from something this old!

anjalipullarkat

Personal taste is one of my all time favorites

Cacophonique

The hair dryer/ neck kiss......... It's living rent free in my head. I have a love hate relationship with the house. Its so beautiful, but I can't imagine the dust and bugs everywhere? And the heat and humidity? I've never really seen an indoor/outdoor concept like that in Canada, and I feel like in real life it would be miserable. But it's so nice with the yard and the lower seating area right by it.

Puzzled_Kiwi_8583

I tried to do it, but couldn’t find a comprehensive enough list of dramas per year and I don’t keep track of them by year so I had to give up.

myweithisway

Dramawiki's [lists](https://wiki.d-addicts.com/Category:Lists) is pretty comprehensive and organized by year.

Puzzled_Kiwi_8583

You weren’t kidding when you said it was comprehensive. That was so nicely organized and very easy to find the info.

DawgMom2018

My top 10 **Moving** \- move up to get a spot on this list - superb drama with back stories to flesh out characters, giving this series about super heroes a lot of heart. The acting, cinematography, script, film editing magnificent. **Squid Games** \- I had never seen anything like this before. the MC Escher type of sets, crazy elimination games, I have seen a lot of dystopian survivor schemes, but this was truly different. **Red Sleeve** \- Romance, court intrique - the story how a revered king rose to power and his beloved concubine. I cried buckets of tears. **My Mister** \- starts dark, but evolves into redemption and inspiration. **Mister Sunshine** \- Epic historical drama with sensational actors. Guns, glory, sad endings! **Mr Queen** \- this had everything, time travel, soul swapping, humor, unexpected romance and court intrigue. **Vincenzo** \- who knew that a series about a mafia consigliere would be so thilling and... funny! Like, really belly laugh funny. What a delight! (loved Reborn Rich too!!!) **Crash Landing On You** \- a classic. I laughed. I cried, and I cared about characters from both North and South Korea - My first Kdrama rom/com **Healer** \- Loved this drama from start to finish. An action hero, revenge, romance. **Doom at Your Service** \- I loved this as one of the few dramas that has a mortal/deity relationship that survives, managing to make it work. What is interesting is that they deity is Doom, and by his very nature and purpose is aloof, and yet, you see the chemistry build wiht the FL, and the mannerisms of head tilt, etc., you see him processing reconciling his attitutude with slowly embracing the imperfections and frailties of human existance, thanks to our FL. Loved the supporting cast too. **A LOT of other dramas right in there** \- loved them so, but this list may change in rotation thanks to an excellent slate of really solid dramas on air or about to air. **Kidnapping Day,** **Worst of Evil** and the return of **My Dearest** all have a shot of claiming a spot.

With the help of mydramalist, here's my TOP 11. Without MDL, off the top of my head, I managed the first 5, so I suppose they are the bestest of the best for me :) Hospital Playlist Reply 1988 My Mister Stranger Our Blues Mr. Queen Our Beloved Summer I'm Not A Robot Gaus Electronics Extraordinary Attorney Woo Are You Human Too

PuzzleheadedPin1006

I'm not a robot, and are you human too are understandably not for everyone, but I'm so glad to see 2 of my unconventional personal favorites make it onto someone else's list!

sentimental_snail

Aww 💜 It's true, they're not mentioned often, but Are You Human Too was one of the first dramas I ever watched, so it has a special place in my heart. And I Am Not A Robot is just so so cute!

judlewmer

Me too! I Am Not a Robot ran off with my heart for a while (and my laughter, and my tears …”

Cacophonique

Gaus Electronics was a total surprise. I wasn't expecting how funny it would be at all. And sadly I haven't found anything that has come close to it since then.

sentimental_snail

I agree, it was the funniest drama I've ever watched! I literally loled most of time.

AdventurousAd3357

Crash Landing On You: Romance, comedy and action with top notch acting and storytelling. Hyunbin & Son Yejin ❤️ Alchemy of Souls: Funny, fantastical and intriguing. We’re talking about ✨magic✨! Plus, easy to binge with 30 episodes between season 1 + 2, and Lee Jae Wook + Hwang Min Hyun are hotties. I love the attire and CGI. Our Beloved Summer: This is a hidden gem and low key VERY funny about normal people’s lives in modern Korea. If you need a reprieve from Kdramas that have a lot of tension / anxiety inducing scenes, this is the perfect palate cleanser. No villain arch. I love Kim Da Mi & Choi Woo Shik in this romcom. Itaewon Class: Kim Da Mi also stars in this with Park Seo Joon who just knocks it out of the park with his acting. Classic underdog taking down the evil restaurant empire redemption story. The Red Sleeve: Perfect if you’re in the mood for a saguek drama (Korean historical) about a forbidden love story between a King and a court lady. It’s a bit slow (skin-ship takes 4ever 😂) and focused a lot initially on palace dynamics as Yi San (the crown Prince) ascends to the throne. I would say perfect for those who like drama, are ok of a slower burn, and love the catharsis of crying. I think this is Lee Jun Ho’s best acting so if you loved him from King The Land prepared to be even more impressed. 100 Days My Prince: Studded with stars like Do Kyunsoo from EXO, Kim Seon-Ho as the SML, Han So Hee (who is freaking gorgeous), and Nam Ji Hyun who plays FL. I thought it had a great balance of comedic relief (the surrounding cast are gr8) as well as drama & plot. Destined With You: Ending TBD (two episodes left to go), but I’m obsessed with Ro Woon and Jo Bo Ah!!!! It’s funny, heartfelt, and weaves in past lives/present lives, and the whole destiny concept but with a creepy stalker and evil ex gf vibes. My Name is Kim Sam Soon: throwback to 2005 but hilarious with baby Hyunbin (I think he was 23?!!) and Kim Sun Ah. A story about a down-on-her (love) luck, crass, single, 30-year old pastry chef that gets hired to work at an upscale French restaurant owned by ✨Hyunbin✨. My Dearest: Part 2 comes out next week and I’m still on the edge of my seat regarding what seems to be an ill fated love story… don’t know if we’ll have a happy ending or not so take this rec with a grain of salt. Wartime love & action, but not comedy. Min Namgoong & Ahn Eunjin are casted perfectly for the role. The tension is chefs kiss. Business Proposal: the writing is a bit more floofy for this one, but it’s a perfectly entertaining rom com (even if the storyline is obvious) with Kim Sejeong and Ahn Hyosup. Bonus; Nevertheless: this isn’t a typical kdrama BUT it is based on a WEBTOON and has Han Sohee + Song Kang who explore what’s essentially an emotionally involved friends w/ benefits situation (without the title of a relationship), and lives of other 20 something year olds in their art majors. The soundtrack is killer ⚡️

ShazInCA

I would also put your throwback **Sam Soon** on my list. The writing is so clever on this with references to earlier dialog popping up regularly. I've watched it all the way through twice and rewatch certain scenes regularly and each time I find something I missed. I was rewatching the Sexy Cookie scene the other day and realized that when she is describing the Madeleine "Plump, Sexy, A Little Wrinkled" she is describing her 30 yo self. Brilliant acting by Kim Sun Ah. Made me laugh and then tore my heart out. And the chemistry between those two is epic.

mrsofp

Kim Sam Soon! I can't ever not hear that Clazziquai song when I think of this classic gem

Ok_Combination7298

#NOT in order of ranking, but here are *some* of my all time favourites: 1. **Goblin** - 1000/10 this one comes with a package - excellent humour, light + passionate + painful love (think of the song *A Thousand Years*), revenge, fantasy, humanity, story development, depression, not a single boring episode. This is no ordinary romance. This is a classic and timeless masterpiece with genius writing + direction + acting + character design + cinematography. This is a show where the other sub-genres don’t just exist to fill time slot, it gradually captures you and makes you go on a rollercoaster of emotions. Oh gosh, just watch it already!! 2. **Pinocchio** - This one made me cry. A sincere, young & innocent love turned into a strong & unwavering love after a series of unfortunate events (pun intended). This one is not only about romance, it’s also about familial love, brotherly love & revenge. It’s not a simple romance but one that’s built on tragedies, hardships, misunderstandings, moral doubts, blind judgement, hard reality lessons. You will see a logically & emotionally intelligent ML that not only fights for his desire, but also considers the feelings of those around him. I never regret rewatching this show over and over once in awhile because the story is just…amazing & thought-provoking. This one is a masterpiece. Please watch it if you haven’t already. 3. **Youth of May** - One of the *few* recent romance kdramas that I truly, truly like. I have rewatched this show and still haven’t moved on from it. The romance is so natural and Lee Do Hyun’s acting made me fall in love with his character Hwang Hee Tae. Don’t be deceived by the smiley posters because this one took place during the Gwangju Uprising in 1980 when the martial law was declared, so…watch it at your own risk (but please do watch it for the unforgettable romance 🥺). Whenever I watched how the story progressed in the later half, I would keep thinking about the word *consequences*. Simply another personal timeless masterpiece that will stay in my memory for a long long time. 4. **The Moon Embracing the Sun** - 10/10 I don’t know why I love this one so much that I keep revisiting it. It can be old for some newbies (even it’s old for me because I watched it as a kid). It’s the soundtrack (*Back In Time* by Lyn) that did it for me. That’s the genius of it. I’m somewhat of a hopeless romantic so I love stories that depict a sense of longing for love (think of the song *Because I Miss You* - *Love In the Moonlight’s OST). A love that’s hard to reach. One that makes you feel deep lingering pain, which is worth it in the end. Yeah, I love this torturous feeling idky. 5. **My Love From the Star** - 9/10 It’s the type of show where I still remember the characters names because of how memorable it is. Arrogant actress Cheon Song Yi and the aloof alien Do Min Joon. I just love their relationship dynamic lol. Cheon Song Yi’s funny lines rendered this show iconic for generations to come. 6. **W: Two Worlds** - 9.5/10 another blockbuster that I eagerly waited every week for when it came out. I would watch it again. 7. **Moving** - In contrast to Han Hyo Joo’s naive character in *W: Two Worlds*, here she is a badass mother whose love story with Jo In Sung’s character is incomplete, and who protects her child with her ability and laser focus. She truly nailed her role in this one! This is no ordinary super hero show. This one kept me hooked and coming back to the earlier episodes because I couldn’t wait for another week to come. This very significantly differs from the usual romance story I’d always been used to. I like this show not for the cool abilities or special effects, but for the everyday story & backstory of each character who possesses abilities, showing their humanity despite the harsh environment they grew up in being exploited by the government in the name of “protecting the country.” Heroes are also humans just like us. I like Moving for its relatable characters in their everyday function. Anyways, genius writing & direction. 8. **Twenty Five, Twenty One** 8.5/10 don’t be deceived by the lower rating compared to the other ones. This one is a GREAT romance. I just personally didn’t like the ending. This one started out as a light, high school-like romance then gradually showed themes of separation and patience. Both main leads inspire one another to not lose faith in their dreams and future. This show depicts young love as the most beautiful & romantic love. Later on we see them dealing with doubts and misunderstandings as they grow into more mature adults, realizing their love comes with a cost. As adults with established status, they deal with a different type of hardship from when they were younger. As the external world brings about changes, so does their love and the way each deals with separation. The OST *Twenty Five, Twenty One* sung by Jaurim is great. Gives lingering nostalgic feelings. 9. **Queen For Seven Days** - 9/10 A freaking tear-jerker. Their love is so sad. Well, the title says it all. The ending is up to interpretation & perspective. The love triangle was heavy. Amazing cast. Their acting was superb. 10. **Kill Me, Heal Me** - 9.3/10 the OST *Hallucination* by Jang Jane (ft. NaShow) is one of my favourite songs ever! There’s no words to describe how *incredible* Jisung’s acting is. My goodness, the range. As a character with DID, Jisung had to play all 7 personalities and he just nailed all 7 of them! Despite the depressing title & OST, the show is actually a romcom with (of course) tragic backstories and fateful encounter between the leads. It’s a classic kdrama. I love it so much. 11. **I Can Hear Your Voice** 9/10 I rewatched this one recently. There’s not much to say other than that I enjoyed the show each time I watched it. It’s a noona romance with fantasy (because the ML can hear other people’s thoughts). There is also murder & revenge and the tragic backstory brought the main leads together. The FL, after meeting the ML, has a major character development. I loved the plot twist near the end. I sympathize with the second FL. She’s not despicable at all, even when her actions led to the FL’s misfortune.

Ok_Combination7298

12. **She Was Pretty** - 10/10 great romcom. I just love it so much. 13. **Another Oh Hae Young** 10/10 W romance. Passionate love & kisses. Love it. 14. **Mr. Queen** - another perfect romcom. It’s one of the best kdramas I watched during Covid. Shin Hye Sun is probably a hilarious person herself irl. *Honourable mentions*: Doctor John, A Time Called You, Missing You (2012), Gu Family Book, Itaewon Class, Strong Woman Do Bong Soon, Come and Hug Me, Love In the Moonlight, School 2015, It’s Okay to Not Be Okay, Rooftop Prince, The Heirs, Reply 1997, Eve, Legends of the Blue Sea, The Smile Has Left Your Eyes, Bring It On Ghost, Chicago Typewriter

beijinglee

woahhh we're literally the same person omg!! what did you think of Memories of the Alhambra and The Glory?

Ok_Combination7298

I dropped Memories of the Alhambra, which is unfortunate because I really like Park Shin Hye. I wasn’t really feeling the romance between the leads. I enjoyed The Glory, however. It has the right pacing that managed to hook me. I normally don’t watch shows that are heavy on cunning revenge and impulsive characters with anger issues & a personality disorder. For that reason, I wouldn’t rate the show as my favourite or list it in my general recs, though I appreciate the anti-bullying message and I’m happy that it received a lot of positive attention. Glad to know someone feels the same about my top kdrama list. I have just finished **Mr. Sunshine** and it’s now my current favourite.

I haven't really had an urge to rethink my overall top 10, but I wanted to join in on doing top shows per year! Bold ones are in my **all-time** favorites :) * 2023 - [Behind Your Touch](https://mydramalist.com/734371-hip) \- so far. the last thing i expected to watch AND enjoy; but this butt-touching show had a chokehold on me. i don't usually watch comedies, and yet... * 2022 - [Twenty-Five, Twenty-One](https://mydramalist.com/695149-twenty-five-twenty-one) or [Alchemy of Souls S1](https://mydramalist.com/52939-can-this-person-be-translated) * 2021 - [**Happiness**](https://mydramalist.com/690709-happiness) \- zombies! or actually a rom-com? * 2020 - [**Mr. Queen**](https://mydramalist.com/58365-queen-cheorin) \- i thank the gods everyday for the Shin Hye-sun x Kim Jung-hyun duo * 2019 - [Sky Castle](https://mydramalist.com/30740-sky-castle) \- the pressures of education is too relatable, so naturally i was interested lol * 2018 - [**My Mister**](https://mydramalist.com/25172-my-ajusshi) \- \*shook\* my entire world * 2017 - [**Stranger S1**](https://mydramalist.com/21934-stranger) or [**Because This Is My First Life**](https://mydramalist.com/24678-because-this-is-my-first-life) or [**I'm Not A Robot**](https://mydramalist.com/24351-im-not-a-robot) \- cheating, I know. but these three are also very distinct from each other so i will allow myself xD * 2016 - [Weightlifting Fairy](https://mydramalist.com/19262-weightlifting-fairy-kim-bok-joo) \- my first kdrama! (i started during the pandemic) * 2015 - [Healer](https://mydramalist.com/10814-healer) \- i LOVE hidden identities * 2014 - [Marriage Not Dating](https://mydramalist.com/9803-marriage-not-dating) \- solid rom-com from start to finish! i need Han Groo and Yeon Woo-jin in another drama again, most especially because it seems like they still keep in touch T-T * 2013 - [School 2013](https://mydramalist.com/5571-school-2013) or [Miss Korea](https://mydramalist.com/8284-miss-korea) \- on the more mundane side of kdramaland, but I really grew to care about the characters. the latter has also the healthiest relationship ever? like noble idiocy who?? * 2012 - [**King 2 Hearts**](https://mydramalist.com/3386-king2hearts) \- i love the angst, what can i say? this was CLOY before CLOY. started pretty slow but seeing Lee Seung-gi's character transform from >!irresponsible prince to resolute king!< was so satisfying to watch. also, Lee Sung-min! * 2011 - [**49 Days**](https://mydramalist.com/288-49-days-2011) \- the only kdrama I've rewatched. i'm not a masochist, i swear... * 2010 - [Pasta](https://mydramalist.com/46-pasta) \- who knew watching LSK shed off his angel image could be so fun? * ~~2009 - everything I tried to watch I ended up dropping :clown:~~ * 2008 - [Beethoven Virus](https://mydramalist.com/135-beethoven-virus) \- by default; the only one I watched released that year * 2007 - [**Coffee Prince**](https://mydramalist.com/2982-coffee-prince) \- the first time I really experienced years-long drama hangover. but because of that i'm scared to rewatch it in full??? even though i regularly search up clips?? * 2006 - [Princess Hours](https://mydramalist.com/38-goong) \- by default; I actually skipped and fast-forwarded this SO MUCH but I do love YEH and JJH. However, I think about certain scenes all the time, like the Myeongdong one (that montage was just perfection, really). * 2005 - [My Girl](https://mydramalist.com/48-my-girl-2005) or [Sassy Girl Chun-hyang](https://mydramalist.com/142-delightful-girl-choon-hyang) * 2004 - [Full House](https://mydramalist.com/24-full-house-) \- by default; (I never got to finish *Something Happened in Bali*, although I want to revisit it someday.) SHK in another rom-com when???

2023 - A Time Called You - i like time travel stories alot and the music and the cast is amazing for me 2023 - Sh**ting Stars - I LOVEEEE THIS. It’s so cute and the cast is adorable, and their emotional connection on screen is so cute. It’s good for some lighthearted kdrama. 2022 - Twenty Five - Twenty One - My favourite actor plus the storyline is so cute, I love it so much. 2022 - Little Women - I binge watched this and honestly I love the plot twists and the drama. Amazing kdrama. 2021 - The Red Sleeve - I love the cast and I love the story behind it. I watched this right after a break up and sobbed so much. 2021 - Taxi Driver - Revenge kdramas have always been my favourite, I can’t imagine not loving this 2020 - Mr.Queen - One of the funniest kdramas I’ve seen. I love the actress so much, hella talented plus she is great at playing this role. 2019 - Hotel Del Luna - I was really into fantasy fiction when I watched this. and who doesn’t love IU? 2016 - Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart - one of my first historical kdramas and I have never loved something so much. I wish there was a second season. 2016 - Descendants of the Sun: My top favourite romance kdrama of all time. Song joong ki looks way too handsome in a uniform. 2015 - Reply 1988: This kdrama makes my heart feels so warm and soft. I love it so much. Makes you feel like being young is so amazing (i’m still young but i sound like an old woman sometimes heh)

All the dramas are re-watchable for me, multiple times. also, I prefer light n fluffy romcoms which make me daydream about how I’ll somehow end up with RM. In no particular order, 1. Mr. queen 2. Weightlifting fairy Kim BokJoo 3. Doom at your service 4. Crash landing on you 5. Extraordinary Attorney Woo 6. She was pretty 7. Oh my Venus 8. Hometown Cha Cha Cha 9. My roommate is a gumiho 10. Business proposal/ king the land / what’s wrong with secretary Kim / her private life (in the order of rewatchability for me) Also; I loved strong woman do bong soon, but some of it got too dark for me.

Junior-Captain-8672

In no particular order.. \- Doom At Your Service : I adored the cinematography of this drama so so much. What really got me were all the scenes where we can see the parallels between our ML and FL with the opposite color schemes and everything, just such a beautiful drama. Plot was unique and the actors were fantastic. \- My Name : I love me a good action drama and this one was so painful. Hit all the right places and Han So Hee did an amazing job. Love a good plot twist and a bad ass FL. That one scene where shes crying laying down did so many things to my heart. \- The smile has left your eyes : another seo in guk masterpiece. I can't explain how intimately this drama spoke to me. The ending was so perfect for it and the last episode was truly a great ending to a great series. \- True Beauty : I watch a lot of romance comedy dramas and while I enjoy them they don't usually make my top list but this was my very first one and it was just so light and hearty. The character dynamics were beyond perfect. \- Bloodhounds : Again I love a good action drama. The bromance was honestly one of the best I've ever seen and the genuine personalities of the two main characters was so refreshing and much needed. \- Duty after school : The ending was literally so good. At first I hated it but after rethinking it I cannot imagine a more perfect ending to this drama. I loved the realism of the kids and their relationships with each other. It really shows that humans are multi faced, these kids are able to survive but they still act like kids, the solider is disciplined but still has fun. \- Reply 1988 : Every character from the mother to the sibling is near and dear to my heart. They were all so wonderfully played with each of their stories displayed. A real testament to just how every individuals story is bright and colorful and also different. One of my first dramas in a different setting. \- Alchemy of Souls : The reasons I love this one are pretty similar to Doom at Your Service. The imagery and parallels were beyond perfect and I really adore the actors roles. However I'd like to mention that the use of magic in the drama was not forced at all and the comedy was much needed. \- Flower of Evil : so mysterious and really kept me captivated. Mostly i just adore how complex the characters are and how they did such a good job of showing that. And again im a sucker for a plot twist done right. It also had me crying at some parts so. \- Tommorow : This drama. Every episode had me in tears and each story is so unique and so painstakingly intimate. everyone is sad but there is a happy ending so yay. This is definitely one of the first dramas I'd recommend to a new watcher. Edit: Special mention to the Worst of Evil, it hasn’t finished yet but its looking really good so far!

Medium-Car7762

I've only been watching Kdramas since January, so my choices are limited, but this is my top 10 as of right now. For reference I've watched 60 dramas (completed 45, watching 3 now, 12 dropped) 1. Reply 1988 (I'm watching this for the third time right now and honestly this is my #1 of any show I've ever watched) 2. Goblin (for the relationship between Goblin & Grim Reaper) 3. Coffee Prince (the scene on the beach where Han Gyul comes to terms with his feelings is heart-wrenching) 4. Extraordinary Attorney Woo (this was my first drama and will always hold a special place in my heart) 5. Something in the Rain (controversial, but I watched this early on and it hooked me with the relationship at the beginning and then killed me by the end. This is the one that made me keep trying to find new dramas to match the romance at the beginning of the relationship. I think if it had fulfilled the promises it made at the beginning of the drama, I may have stopped searching for new shows to watch, and wouldn't have ended up joining the drama community. Not sure if this makes sense, but I'm indebted to Something in the Rain.) 6. Squid Game (I did not watch this when the rest of the world watched it, but when I finally did, I didn't expect it to hit me so hard. I did not see the reveal at the end coming at all). 7. Crash Landing on You (I loved the romance, I loved the ducklings, I loved the ajummas. I just got swept up in it) 8. Thirty But Seventeen (This is the first drama that I had trouble moving on from. The characters just sort of lived in my heart and I didn't want to say goodbye) 9. Our Beloved Summer (there was something about the mood in this one, the music, the cinematography. This was the first soundtrack I played after I was done.) 10. It's Okay to Not Be Okay (I don't think I will ever be able to rewatch this one because it was something about the way the story unfolded and something about the way the story was told visually that really grabbed me. There are lots of problems with the main relationship, but they grew together and that at least was nice)

Snickersnerds

Loving the year theme so I’m gonna do the same!! 😊 2023- King the Land 2022- If You Wish Upon Me 2021- Yumi’s Cells/ Our Beloved Summer 2020- The Uncanny Counter 2019- Crash Landing On You/Her Private Life 2018- Familiar Wife 2017- While You Were Sleeping/I’m Not a Robot 2016- The Legend of the Blue Sea 2015- Splash Splash Love 2014- Healer 2013- My Love from the Star 2011- My Princess 2000-2010- Autumn in My Heart Some years had a smaller selection than others but these are my picks 🩷 Also, honorable mentions to 2022’s Link: Eat, Love, Kill; Tomorrow, and From Now On, Showtime. I loved all of them pretty similar to each other, I just picked If You Wish Upon Me to be the drama on my list

idealistatlarge

I like the year thing, too! And your simplified version.

idealistatlarge

I'm gonna jump on the **fave-by-year** bandwagon 🚌! I don't have every year, but here are the ones I do have: 2023: This is going to be a cross between *My Perfect Stranger* and *My Dearest*. Of course, who knows what the last few months will bring - but I don't think it will top these two. I'm pretty sure nothing can top *My Dearest* this year, regardless of how the storyline goes. It's just an extraordinary show. 2022: Another cross between *Shooting Stars* and *Ghost Doctor.* Both well-made and entertaining, with heart. 2021: Let's just go for two every year... 😏😄 This one is for *Doom At Your Service* (watched this year) and *Bossam: Steal the Fate* (watched while airing). *Doom* was a better drama overall - less faults or tedious bits - but both deeply affected me, were amazingly acted by the principal actors, and were unique among their genre. They really stood out in excellence. 2020: *Mystic Pop-Up Bar / Tale of the Nine-Tailed.* These aren't among my favourites of all time, but for those that came out that year, that I've watched, they top the list. 2019: *Touch Your Heart* and *Extra-ordinary You* 2018: *My Secret Terrius.* We could also put *Devilish Joy* in here, since it was fun; it was crazy, though, so I'm not sure it deserves this spot. 2017: *Just Between Lovers/Rain or Shine*, and in second place (a ways behind), *I Am Not a Robot*. *Robot* held the spot for a while, but then *Just Between Lovers* came along for me this year, and it's definitely blown it off the top. But I have much fondness still for *Robot*. 2016: This is going to be hard. It's the year two of the first K-dramas I watched came out. I don't know whether to put *Marriage Contract*, *W: Two Worlds*, or *Shopping King Louis*. 🤷‍♀️ 2015: *My Love Eun Dong* and *Splash! Splash! Love* 2012: *Queen In-Hyun's Man* 👏🎇 That's the earliest year I have favourites for. The two I've watched/am watching from 2011 won't make the list.

Puzzled_Kiwi_8583

Top ten completed dramas of the ones I’ve watched this year. Not in order - A time called you - call it love - Dr romantic 2 - find me in your memory - king the land - legend of the blue sea - destined with you (as long as it sticks the ending) - my perfect stranger - the glory - the good bad mother - weak hero class one

Gwaenchanha_

Since making a top 10 for everything I've watched would be near impossible for me, here is my **Top 10 Dramas I Watched For Free On Viki**. 1.**Why Her?** - For starters I'm a huge fan of Seo Hyun-Jin and when I watched this drama it had been a long time since I watched any of her work, and she absolutely kills this role. It's a Noona romance revenge drama and if **The Glory** didn't exist I think this would be my favorite revenge drama. The antagonist is really easy to hate and it's shot really well. 2.**Military Prosecutor Doberman** - This one surpassed **D.P** for me in regards to military dramas. Ahn Bo-Hyun and Jo Bo-Ah did such a great job and if you weren't a fan of them before this I'm sure this drama would change your mind. 3. **Psychopath Diary** - Genuinely one of the biggest surprises I've ever watched. It was like a comedic thriller if that's even possible. The cast and characters do such an incredible job creating this world and deserves to be talked about a lot more. 4. **Encounter** - A Song Hye-Kyo and Park Bo-Gum noona romance drama has something for everyone haha. I don't get many opportunities to watch television shows based in Cuba, so even their brief stint at the location really set this drama apart. 5. **A Piece Of Your Mind** - Feel like crying? Give this drama a chance. I think some people would find it a bit slow or frustrating but it was an emotional journey worth going on. 6. **Eccentric! Chef Moon** - If you are looking for a found family trope drama then I would highly recommend this one. 7. **Happiness** - Really fun zombie drama which I found unique because of the setting. If you haven't seen it yet October is a great month to check it out! 8. **Kill it** - Great action drama with Nana. Really enjoyed kind of the Anti-hero hitman dynamic. My salesman skills are bad but this is worth the watch. 9. **The Devil Judge** - Kim Min-Jung's performance in this drama is worth the watch alone, she was incredible. 10. **Curtain Call** - Didn't think you could have a romance drama without any romance? Well this drama could prove you wrong. Also I need Ha Ji-Won in a Noona romance drama as soon as possible.

Ok_Combination7298

Kill It was so good T_T

jazzaroo_2000

Love to see Encounter here. I binged it in 3 nights... so good.. tears of sadness and of joy throughout.

[deleted]

Can you elaborate why Military Prosecutor Doberman surpassed DP in your opinion? Don't mean to sound rude here, i'm just curious. DP s1 was a huge emotional ride, but i agree its just sort of repetitive with the chasing, but the stories of the deserters were great.

Gwaenchanha_

For sure and this is coming from someone who hasn't seen the second season of **D.P** yet, but I'm looking forward to watching it. I really enjoyed how in **Military Prosecutor Doberman** our leads have two very different motivations for their actions and how the story progresses their paths intertwine towards one goal. Now while both dramas share some similarities in story I appreciated **Military Prosecutor Doberman's** moments of comedy. Though it isn't an outright romance drama I enjoyed our leads chemistry. And you didn't sound rude at all, thanks for asking. Have you seen both of these dramas?

[deleted]

sorry to say, but i haven't but this drama has been in my radar since d.p. sparked my interest for military dramas, and this is why i asked for your opinion. d.p. is a drama i hold very dear to me, though it's not my favorite in any way, it just somehow speaks to me, it's dark and gritty, but at the same time, filled with a wave of pity and sympathy you can't help but feel for everyone there. i recommend you rewatch dp s1 or remembering the characters, because it's been a long time, and it's a continuation, there's no fresh start here. you're supposed to know everyone there to sort of, you know, know the emotions. i did the mistake of not recapping s1 so it kinda ruined s2 for me.

orion_joy

Nice to see MPD..it’s a very underrated drama…

yessilvershining

1. The Red Sleeve - the cinematography, exceptional acting, realism, and motifs made me think about every little detail even after I finished the drama. Especially since it was based off a true story, although the events may not have been, the thought that the story was similar to what they must have experienced made it all more heart wrenching and impactful. 2. Alchemy of Souls (All Seasons) - I loved the CG and creative story line. Bonus points for casting two amazing female leads for both seasons to showcase their differences. 3. Hospital Playlist (All Seasons) - My all-time comfort drama. It makes me cry but it makes me laugh a lot. Slice of life. I loved how certain actions made me reflect on how I would have reacted and how I can learn from the drama. 4. The Glory (All Seasons) and The Penthouse (All Seasons) - Just pure chaos for both. 5. Vincenzo - The chemistry amongst all of the characters was great to see. 6. What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim - Romantic comedy and iconic rich boss kdrama. 7. Scarlet Lovers - iykyk 8. Mr. Queen - Loved Shin Hye Sun’s acting. Very funny and overall a good story. 9. Twenty-five, Twenty-one - Realistic ending but all the other earlier episodes were great to watch. 10. The Good Bad Mother - A Mother’s love is truly one of a kind. But the plot was very engaging and Lee Do Hyun did a great job as always.

1 - Reply 1988: because it is sincere and script is cleverly written. All the characters were good people. I watched it around 10 times, cried so much and laughed so much too. 2 - Alchemy of Souls: because it is so creative and chemistry between the leads are so perfect both for season 1 and season 2. 3 - Mr. Sunshine: because each line is like poem and execution is the story is excellent. 4 - My Mister: because it demonstrates human feelings for every type of happening in our lives perfectly, you say wow this feeling and thought is something I also felt but cannot describe it such wonderful words. 5 - Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo: because it is so so so lovely and makes you think life is fun and love is beautiful. 6 - Moonlight Drawn by Clouds: because it is innocent and fun and it was one of the first kdramas I watched. The love portrayed in this drama is admirable. 7 - Pinocchio: because it is cleverly written, lines are good, humour is perfect and romance is cute and innocent. I also admired how cool the main lead is, clever and upright. 8 - Hospital Playlist: because it was sincere and full of emotions. Scriptwriter is the same as Reply 1988. 9 - W: Storyline was extremely clever so that I had never watched something like this. I was so curious for every episode. 10 - Scarlet Heart Ryeo: because I was curious of every episode and what I was curious more about was who will be the King and whether the main couple will end up together. The couple had chemistry and tension.

Soundtrack #1 Our Blooming Youth My Name Nevertheless Navillera Doom at Your Service The Stars Have Left Your Eyes Happiness Bad and Crazy It's Okay to Not Be Okay All of these dramas were well-written with compelling plots and complex characters, excellent casting and acting, and great soundtracks and cinematography. There have been other ones that were fun in the moment, but these are the ones I go back and rewatch. Soundtrack #1 in particular is full of light, soft moments and very soothing without being over the top. There's something really refreshing and simple about it that I really like.

I got into K Dramas only this year while just browsing through and wow I can't go back now. Co incidentally whatever I have watched in last few months I have loved - i rely on this and r/kdramarecommends for my next watch so have been in luck. Here's my top 10 in order of my journey, 1. Squid Game - my v first k drama, i watched it in English when it first came out during covid and was mind blown 2. The Glory - my first k drama this year which I started just casually but loved so much, again watched in English 3. The Good Bad Mother - Again accidentally stumbled upon it and it wormed its way into my heart, i already loved ML from the Glory and now i started taking k dramas seriously 4. Under the Queen's Umbrella - loved loved loved it, i got this recco from a google search, strangely not much talked about here but intense period drama and also funny 5. Alchemy of Souls - again a curious, accidental watch but quickly got into the mystique, chemistry between the MLs was phenomenal. Didn't like S2 so much 6. The Tale of the nine tailed - start of my love affair with lee dong wook! I liked the bromance with kim bum more than the romance and ended up loving TONT 1938 even more. It deserves a separate mention tbh because it's quite different, stylish and kicks ass!! 7. The Penthouse - my first makjang, by this time i have discovered subs and fully into this crazy rich world and opera lol. Again last season a letdown but first 2 quite a ride. 8. Goblin - Watched for Lee dong wook and all the hype in the subs. I knew gong woo from squid game and train to busan so checked it out and ohhhh my heart. Well deserved hype despite the cringey age gap which often bothered me. 9. Strangers from Hell - came here for lee dong wook, stayed for im si wan. Truly unique and terrorising 10. Misaeng - almost drove me to tears so many times, truly amazing ensemble cast. Im si wan - phenomenal again Have watched Prison Playbook, Mr Queen, Psychopath Diary after this all of which I have loved equally!

1 - D.P. (2021-), 2 - Weak Hero Class 1 (2022), 3 - Bloodhounds (2023), 4 - Hospital Playlist (2020-2021), 5 - Extracurricular (2020), 6 - Reply 1988 (2015), 7 - Live (2018), 8 - Moving (2023), 9 - Be Melodramatic (2019), 10 - My Ajeossi (2018). Numeration is random, these are all my favourites. I mostly prefer actions/thrillers, more serious and grim kdramas, but from time to time I do watch romcoms when they’re mature and focused on comedy.

Waveeeee

If you want grim you should check out beyond evil or king of pigs. Those are ultra grim tho

vanillachocz

Rare species like me, actions are way to go though crime is a plus. Thanks for the list. Edit: Check out The Worst of Evil if haven’t already.

tVViceMOMO

Yeah, it’s already on my watchlist! Thanks for reminding tho :)

Love the idea of top show per year! Here are mine: 2023 - Jun & Jun - Crash Course In Romance 2022 - Cherry Blossoms After Winter - Recipe For Farewell 2021 - Beyond Evil 2020 - A Piece Of Your Mind 2019 - When the Devil Calls Your Name 2018 - The Guest 2017 - While You Were Sleeping 2016 - Goblin 2015 - Late Night Restaurant 2014 - My Secret Hotel (the only kdrama I completed from that year) 2013 - My Love From the Star 2012 - Queen In-Hyun's Man 2011 - Scent Of A Woman 2010 - Oh! My Lady 2009 - Boys Over Flowers (the only kdrama I completed from that year) 2008 - Hometown Legends (the only kdrama I completed from that year) I seem to have a lot of highly rated BL in 2023 and 2022 so I'm including both BL and a non-BL drama for those years Also I had to export the CVS file from MDL and use excel to filter this, then sort by year and rating because the sorting on MDL refused to listen to me XD

idealistatlarge

Oh, *Queen In-Hyun's Man*, definitely, for 2012!

NOT RANKED * **Pinocchio** * **W: Two Worlds** * **The Heirs** These were my first three K-dramas. Pinocchio, W, and Heirs have become the comfort dramas I've watched countless times. These dramas will always have a special place in my heart. * **Bad and Crazy**: Dark gritty crime thriller that I very much enjoyed. I loved how they incorporated a comic character such as K into this dark drama * **Mr. Queen**: The drama that got me into Saeguk. Also, you can never not love Queen So Yong or the actress who played her. * **Happiness**: The ultimate power couples - Sae Bom & Yi Hyun * **See You In My 19th Life**: Though the ending was not quite how I expected it to be, I loved the drama. I dunno if it's the actors who did a great job on their characters or if its the soundtracks that had me hooked. (***Star*** by Colde and ***Here With Me*** by Doyoung made my top OST list) * **Big Mouth**: LEE JONG SUK!!!!! It's not just him though, the drama was well-scripted and executed. * **Goblin**: Duh, obviously...

Hometown Cha Cha Cha- still my favorite. Everything about it was perfect Because This Is My First Life- why do I keep crying? My heart aches every episode. It’s Okay To Not Be okay- I still think about this show often. Run On Still 17 Be Melodramatic- the friendship between the roommates was so well done Beauty Inside- I thought both leads had such a beautiful story to tell Law Cafe- their chemistry was fire 2521 Extraordinary Attorney Woo Honorable mentions: Crash Course in Romance It’s Okay That’s Love Call It Love Hotel Del Luna Shows that would have made it except the change in storyline ruined it: Behind Your Touch Master’s Sun Oh My Venus

[deleted]

2016 - have to give it to "moon lovers: scarlet heart ryeo." i loved weightlifting fairy, w and DOTS but i'm a sucker for the angst. call me a sadist, but i laughed at everyone's downfall in moon lovers. ( probably bcs i already knew the ending and was watching them getting closer to the point of insanity ) 2017 - no doubt, this absolutely goes to "because this is my first life." This drama touched my heart and made me fall in love with lee min ki. special mention to "while you were sleeping" solely for jongsuk's acting. 2018 - "lawless lawyer" takes the cake. i remember being invested in "the smile has left your eyes" but i ended up spoiling the ending for myself. didn't feel like watching afterwards. 2019 - "one spring night", "romance is a bonus book", "crash landing on you" ( obviously my favorite ),"the light in your eyes", "my first first love" were all aweeeeesome. great year for kdramas tbh. 2020 - "start up", "i'll go to you when the weather is nice", "live on", "run on" were great. i'm sure "do you know brahms?" is great too, but i couldn't find the motivation to complete it. 2021 - this year feels like yesterday. my favorite year in terms of kdramas. "d.p.", "blue birthday", "move to heaven", "vincenzo", "dali and cocky prince", "hometown cha-cha-cha" all stole my heart. 2022 - "business proposal", "2521" ( didnt watch the ending ), that's about it. 2023 has not really impressed me so far. DP 2 was the only one i considerably liked but my feelings were not too strong, considering i had forgotten all the characters. i'm looking forward to twinkling watermelon and doona but i don't have high expectations for them either. it's hard to rank top 10 but top 5 are ( unranked ): 1. move to heaven. 2. i'll go to you when the weather is nice. 3. because this is my first life. 4. blue birthday. 5. moon lovers. ( this shit was brutal to my mental health and changed me completely as a person and my outlook towards human greed but it's also so great. )

littlehollowthumb

Omg One Spring Night is my favorite Kdrama of all time and I never see it mentioned. It’s so beautifully shot, such amazing chemistry, the OST is perfect. I’ve watched it so many times and still love it just as much.

I won't make a Top 10 list ~~because I'm picky and stubborn~~ because I did not like a lot of those dramas as the ones below. These are the dramas that I absolutely love: 1) It's okay, that's love 2) Goblin 3) Coffee Prince 4) Reply 1988

me_auxilium

It's pretty hard for me to just pin point 10 tbh I also think setting a rating standard is kinda hard, because it's so subjective, so I'm just gonna with random dramas from my fav list... (no real order) 1. Beautiful Mind (a rather different medical drama, which sadly got cut short due to low ratings, I just rewatch ed it a few days and still very much love it!) 2. Goblin (a fantasy romance that's right up my alley, it's so gorgeous and I love the ost a lot!) 3. Secret (now this one is pretty effed up and over the top but boy oh boy do I love it, also Ji Sung/Hwang Jun Eum have amazing on screen chemistry!) 4. The Guest (not usually a horror fan, but this one had me hooked from the start, it's quite thrilling, loved the ost and every character was awesome) 5. Chief Kim (a fantastic workplace comedy, made me laugh way too hard haha) 6. Beautiful Gong Shim (a very cute rom-com, the leads are adorable af) 7. Special Labor Inspector Jo (one of my favorite feel good dramas, I'm glad that it almost always lands on a good note) 8. While You Were Sleeping (a law drama with a supernatural twist, it's also very gorgeous... I'm such a sucker for style) 9. Goodbye Mr. Black (another a tad bit overthetop thriller drama but I'm totally here for those) 10. Remember (ngl I don't think I would like it as much if it weren't for the villain, that dude is crazy/scary) 11. Confession (super intense law drama, fantastic watch from start to finish) 12. Doctor Prisoner (a dark medical drama, I love how messed up the male lead is) 13. You're All Surrounded (seen pretty harsh comments about this one but personally I think it's a fun cop show and maaaaybe also bc of cha seung won *cough*) 14. Falsify (a drama about media, journalism and its influence, pretty underrated) 15. Voice 1 (I wish the follow up seasons were as good as the first one, but the first one is def a recommended watch if you're into crime dramas) 16. She Was Pretty (a kitschy rom-com drama with the usual tropes, it's nothing special per se I guess it's just a guilty pleasure v, v) P. S. I'm not biased towards Namgoong Min I swear (reaaaaaallllly)

Mirjen_12

I saw a clip of a show I thought looked interesting, but I don't know the name. It was a woman who wanted a man to marry her because she thought they were a good match, but he wasn't convinced. So she shows her loyalty by jumping off the diving board into the pool with her clothes on, and he jumps in to save her, and then agrees to give it a chance. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

[deleted]

Oo that scene sounds really interesting 👀 lmk the name of the show if you find out XD!

I have been searching diligently for more than a week and can't find it. I wish I had saved the video!!!

I don’t care what anybody has to say about 2023 dramas and which drama is the best. Moving is so far the best Korean show of 2023. The production, the acting, the comedy, the romance, the fightings, and the plot, its the best of the best. IT GOT IT ALL. I had some favorite kdramas but “moving” has fought all of them and WON.

anon1948

Guys can we talk about how disappointing the dramas of 2023 have been? There were a few good ones of course but for the most part... meh.

No-South1400

can someone recommend me something similar to "extracurricular"?

MilkyWayOfLife

**My 2023 Top 5** (so far) 1) D.P. 2 2) Song of the Bandits 3) One Day Off 4) Shadow Detective 2 5) Revenant But none of them is a 10/10, the majority is 8.5/10. I don't know but I think this year is a lot weaker regarding kdrama than last year. There has been none so far that really flashed me. I can't even make a Top 10 list.

Didnt think I had 10 under my belt, but upon counting up turns out I just about do. My first and second shows watched are still my two favorites. Healer and Vagabond. Both ones I binged completely not feeling like/needing to sleep at all just full zombie. I dont care for the "genious hacker" character that both shows have and which seems rather too common of a trope in these kinds of shows, but other than that I love the political conspiracies even though they so go very very overboard with it as well. Others I have watched and like somewhat in order of most to least liked: Signal The Glory Flower of Evil Stranger Through the Darkness Squid Game The K2 Taxi Driver Big Mouth My Name Mouse

I haven't watched a lot of them, but my favorites so far are: 1. Doom at Your Service 2. The Heirs 3. King the Land 4. Love Alarm 5. Meteor Garden

For someone who has seen over 300 kdramas across genres,A top 10 list is tough. But,I have some favourites,as mentioned below- 1.My mister- Perfect script, brilliant performances from a really good cast,an awesome team performance.Just a 10/10 dramatic experience.I don't think I have seen a more perfect Kdrama across the 300+ kdramas I have seen. So,this one was easy. 2.My liberation notes-Again a good and a unique script. Some amazing direction and performances. 3.Reply 1988- Only show where I cried in each of the 20 episodes.Last episode just hits you in the heart. An amazing show. 4.Stranger s1 and s2-I prefer s2 more than first because how well tied up the multiple plot points are in s2.Phenomenon scripts for each season make them a best watch. 5.Live- Not many people have seen this show.I highly recommend this show revolving around real police work. 6.DP s1 and s2- Apparently everyone has seen this show,so nothing more to add. 7.Hometown Cha cha cha-Just for the joy it gave me when I was suffering during that covid period. 8.The producers- Its a quirky one based on reality and again not.Again I don't think that many people have seen thia one.Highly recommend it.Fewer episodes than a 16 episodes drama. But,a really awesome experience. 9.Misaeng- This is an oldie, revolving around how corporate world works.A phenomenal underdog story, which will make you feel things and bring you a touch closer to reality. 10.Prison playbook and hospital playlist- Merged together as written by same writer and you can see the common ground of story telling. Two amazing shows dealing with human companionship. For this year,My show of the year was Twinkling watermelon. There are some loopholes in the script, but the show had its soul in its place.Have never waited for a weekly episode this eagerly in my Kdrama life.Loved every second of it. Will never regret wasting my time on these amazing shows.
