No. 8 (and most kaiju with regeneration) have all their severed parts disintegrate.

Wachitanga

Which is kind of... Convenient, isn't it? I know it's useless to look for logic in an anime, but if they were organic beings (as they seem to be), the only explanation I can think of is that abyssal Kaiju cells use a brutal amount of energy to keep on living, and when the body stays disconnected from its nucleus for too long, they disintegrate/autophagocytize really quickly. Normal kaijus don't do this, so they simply turn into corpses.

In reality it was only said what happens with Kafka. Obviously you will need spare weapons and material to repair the suit if it is damaged. The thing about other numbered kaijus is that there are very few people compatible with them, and it is difficult to synchronize, being compatible may not be enough. However, only one suit can be made for each kaiju of that type, since the suits use the core to function. The weapons would be possible to distribute to a second candidate in theory, but what I said before applies. Although it wouldn't be impossible to do so.

That was addressed in Chapter 21 where severed parts of Numbers Kaiju, like Kafka, disappeared after a while

How come His blood doesn't do the same? And why do dead numbered parts not do the same making it possible to weaponize the parts?

NocandNC

I think if the core is active missing parts will disintegrate as regeneration is attempted.

Same thing I have in mind.
