Please for the love of god don’t let that mean removing motion inputs, Jesus Christ.
Edit: should’ve read farther.
> Street Fighter 6 offers a new control mode to play without the need to remember difficult command inputs, allowing players to enjoy the flow of battle. Players who are delving into the world of Street Fighter for the first time, or those who haven't touched a fighting game in years, can jump right into the fray. Of course, the traditional control type of the series is still available for players who enjoy it.
That’s not so bad but I do wonder how they’ll balance things like DP, where one button makes them crazy easy to execute in terms of the minimum frames needed to do the motion
A lot of people are missing that Modern controls is LMHS, so you miss out on half of your normals. Sure you could play neutral with jab, forward, and fierce, but it's not gonna work out too well against someone who has all 6 buttons. Seems to balance itself nicely.
on the website there's "Drive Rush," which is like the fast dash forward attack you see Ryu do vs Chun, and "Drive Impact" which is an armored move that wallsplats on block and is presumably the focus attack lookin one.

Sorry are you talking about SF4 or SF6? i can't tell
somehow, they've managed to make luke even goofier from sf5
also what kind of loser actually wears a shirt with his tattoo designs printed on it in the exact same place as they appear on his body?
This is why we can't have nice things.
I for one am glad to see it, FGs used to have robust single player modes, but it had been on decline for a long time. It's so nice to see them return, ironically in a series that never really had a good single player mode before.
Altho I guess we will only know if it's actually good once it's out.
It's easier to patch in characters than to not release single player content on release and everybody review bombs it and you have to release a new version of the game just to scrub the ratings (SFV)
I think they got the idea from DotA and StarCraft. In those games it's great, casters are really important because games are so long and complex with dead space and a lot of those announcer packs are funny. But I can't get over how little I care about commentators in fighting games and wish they'd stop trying to shove them down my throat.
I'm trying to remain hopeful that the art style will grow on me and that the gameplay doesn't end up being as sluggish as it looks.
The main thing I'm worried about is that I hope that the open-world stuff is still playable on fightstick/hitbox, or that at the very least the open-world stuff is detached enough from the rest of the game that switching back and forth between fightstick and pad isn't a huge hassle.
after the launch of SF5, i'm just being cautious. when the game gets release, i'll wait a few weeks before buying it, to see if its worth it. also it looks like parries are back and i dont know if its SF3 parries or SF5 parries.

> Pretty sure most people here now are 18rs or newer who just repeat bullshit they saw someone else say.
Really? I think its the opposite I think older players are the once more upset by this
The thing that opened my eyes to how off the pulse of the FGC kappa is was when i went to my first local. If you get all your fighting game interaction on kappa you would think SFV is a joke and people hate it. When i went to my first local (i went for SC6 and T7) there were 60 people there playing SFV getting hype as hell and everyone was going nuts about the local matches and the tournament that was going on that weekend that was being broadcast on a seperate monitor.
I realized that even though i wasn't really a fan of SFV a ton of people were and kappa is too full of people who have never been to a local to understand that.
Talks about drinking Kool Aid proceeds to say some really cult following shit like this
"Street fighter is a fucking classic and I'm absolutely going to give this a shot and hope they don't blow it this time"
Hbu just wait for the reviews this time instead of blindly consuming it just cause of the brand
I'm meh on how it looks; gameplay is the only thing I care about and the little they showed was all flash. Hopefully we can see some full matches soon.
I don't think it looks that bad, but it's not great either. I don't think its that hard to understand why people are hating.
* Trailer opens with some open world stuff. Unlike e.g., Zelda which is built around exploring, the core gameplay of SF has nothing to do with walking around a city. I have low expectations that the open world stuff will be fun or interesting at all.
* The more realistic art style for Luke, Jamie, and Chun-Li are a big departure from the usual cartoony SF artstyle. I have no idea how they could include characters like Honda, Blanka, T.Hawk, Mika, Dhalsim, Necro, Hakan, Oro, Rufus, Rose, etc. in this game without heavily redesigning them. *Edit: Looking at the leaked / released concept art for the characters, Blanka, Honda, and Sim actually fit pretty well with the new art style.*
* While the graffiti effects are kinda cool, they are also really visually noisy, which is also sort of unusual for an SF game, which usually have pretty mild, easy to parse hit and block effects.
* The 'matches' are so choreographed that I can't really tell what the actual flow of gameplay might be like and whether or not it will be enjoyable.
* There's no like, definite information that would get me hype. If they said some shit like "24 characters on launch," or "GGPO netcode," or "2v2/3v3 team mode, play with your friends online!" or something, I would be a lot more excited.
The trailer right now is basically "open world! Pretty graffiti colors! New character Jamie!" Which is not bad, but not that great either.
what was realistic about this to you guys, ryu looking like a jpn hulk, mfers spinning around on the floor shooting paint everywhere like its splatoon
i guess the textures are higher?
exactly, while it is refreshing to see something new coming from Street Fighter artstyle, the identity of it was being cartoonish for a long time and it worked marvelously.
with Realism comes simplicity, and with simplicity comes loss of identity.
I can agree with SFIV. However I liked SFV's style, but the inconsistency really, really hurt that game. You had SFV Chun and SFV Ken in the same game, and I don't think anyone will argue SFV Chun doesn't look amazing. Same thing for the animations, where on the whole most of the animations looked great, but then you had Sakura looking pretty weird, mostly in those cancelable post move flourishes, and in what I think is SFV's worst looking character animation wise, Cody. He looks horrendous in a lot of instances, including key poses, his awkward walk forward where he goes to fix his watch but it gets cut off 24/7 cause it's SF, you walk back and forth, and his godawful win pose.
I think SFV would have been pretty good looking if we had consistency among the cast regarding models/animations.
I don't know what "visually appealing" in this genre is when the only modern games that look really good coming out are MK, which still gets clowned, and Arcsys games in general, which tend to get complained about because "anime". I guess Skullgirls is a thing too but that's pretty old now right? I dunno. This is a poverty genre if you aren't MK. As much as we would like games to look better, I don't think the companies that run these games are going to give the FG divisions the time and budgets they need no matter how much we complain. It probably sucks to be on the dev side of things and keep seeing complaints about shit they probably can do nothing about. I'm not saying we shouldn't be critical, but I think there should be a point where we at least acknowledge how niche the genre is and the problems that come from that, and maybe be more satisfied with the work that is being put in.
That said, I like SFVI so far. Looks bold, loud, colorful, distinct, and most of all, confident. Does it need work? Yeah. But at least this game does look pretty early, so there's hope they iron stuff out. And SFV did look/feel very different when it finally released, so at least it shows Capcom does change stuff.
Holy shit.... It looks like MK11, as in, the animations are sluggish and the screen is hella busy with no visual clarity between the background and the characters in the front.
Not looking good. Also they nerfed chun-li's hotness factor slightly wtf.
Hope it's not slow and clunky like V. Playing kof reminded me how fast a 2D fighter can be. If it's not at least s fast as XV, prolly will be too slow for me.
I don't think it's a very attractive looking game so far. But it seems like they've put a lot of work into it, as opposed to SF5 which I always thought looked ugly and rather amateurish in design.
I'm very interested in this potential single-player stuff. There's a lot of potential there.
It looks really, really, and I mean really wack. But I'm not judging until I get to play it. But if this is Capcom's answer to Arcsys' amazing visuals since Xrd in 2014 and all their following games... Fucking yikes. Hopefully the gameplay redeems the game.
But that didn't help MvC:I. If the game looks wack, it won't sell.
Capcoms answear to Arcsys "amazing visuals since Xrd in bla, bla, bla" is that they shit all over Arcsys in sales, playerbase and viewership you fucking retard. You really think Capcom gives a shit about what Arcsys does? If anything they are trying to follow the steps of MK/NetherRealm by including this Open World single player bs we are watching. Man this sub is retarded on a daily basis.
Huge feeling of just meh. The fighting looks slow and clunky. The wall splatter stuff looks like it’s going to be annoyingly distracting. Don’t even get me started on yet another “open world” type thing for some sort of single player mode. Why must everything be open world these days?
I sort of got excited when it looked like they were lining up for a 2v2 ala Street Fighter X Tekken. I think it would be an interesting game mode but obviously the 1v1 should be the main focus
>kappa pretending this looks bad
The 3d hub world is interesting. Hopefully they learned their lesson about not putting good single player content in the game.
It taking place in Metro City is super interesting. Certainly there's going to be a ton of Final Fight characters like Cody, even just as NPCs. I can't imagine the Hugo and Poison duo aren't returning. Will Mike Haggar be a playable character???
Edit: just rewatched it, there's a bronze statue of Mike Haggar and Hugo is featured on a billboard as a completely new character model. Hugo almost definitely is gonna be in the game, hope Haggar is playable too *fingers crossed*
Just by the aestetics... nah, not really feelling it. Open world stuff is, hmmm, not really something I need in a 2D fighter, those generic custom made character do suck, and more and more dependence on always online is a concern.
Gameplay looks like it could be fun, but that remains to be seen till we get our hand on it.
Why did Chun Li get breast reduction? So far am not hyped.
Start the clocks. Boomers complaining about new fighting game will be upon us again in time. Can’t wait for the “SFV was so much more high skill than this baby game” comments
"oh man, kids nowdays will never remenber the good old days of SFV, Vtrigger is such a GODLIKE and well thought design mechanics. Not to mentions the innovate 3D model and good facial expression, people at the time just too dumb to realized how GOLD this game is"
The game honestly looks good. I think we'll know better once we get a full exhibition but the visual appeal is there.
IDK why ppl are mad. So many ppl on this sub were complaining about SF looking cartoony, then they go the realistic approach and ppl are still mad?
My main gripe is the overworld, it looks pretty barren, but overall it looks good so far I wonder what the gimmick is this time tho (if there is one)
I honestly am not getting a grasp of how the gameplay's going to be like. V shift returning? Is there a universal parry system? Why does the gameplay look slow and really hit confirm heavy?
I thought at certain points of the trailer I was seeing Mortal Kombat with 100 times better animation (something about the way the drunken fist guy is hitting Luke with that DP). Something about the feel of the game and the somewhat realistic environment made me think of MK. I dig the aesthetics of the game with the particle effects and the art swirl things going on.
Idk about this game yet. Have to see more gameplay.
Can someone tell me why it looks slower? All the hits have the NRS kinda heavy feeling, if you know what I mean? I think the artsy effects with the spray paint is great, same with the sound effects but the "heaviness" really bothers me.
Dark ages in FGs only exist in SF/Capcom fanboys' heads. There was always good fighting games out on the market. The Capcom fanboys were just not playing them.
Bro, I literally play Xrd.
Dark ages has to do with the community at large playing the titles. Can I find the same ol' GG heads on Xrd Steam for years? Sure. Doesn't all of a sudden discount the "dark ages" of FGs when some of the biggest titles from the biggest developers are now dumbed-down/watered-down awful games.
I don't get it. What doesn't look good about this? I thought it looked nice. I won't lie, it was a little overwhelming as far as the color saturation, but it looks kind of fun. At least, I hope it's as fun as it looks.
That's fair, I hope it's fun too. For me, it looks too much like Tekken and not enough like Street Fighter. Don't really like the 'realism' and the saturated colours.
I agree it very much lacks some of that SF identity but at this point I just have kind of accepted it with how SF has been run recently. It's clear they want that mainstream diet-MMA audience and old wacky SF doesn't work for that
It sucks but it makes sense. That's just kinda how the market is these days
Personally, I think the textures/overall graphics look pretty good. But there's something about some of the animations that seem... off.
Look at the tackle/punch??? at 2:01, chun-li's left leg at 2:11, and the hadouken at 2:20. Looks really awkward/unnatural. Before when the graphics were more cartoony, you can get away with this. But with more realistic graphics, you get more of the uncanny valley effect.
Yeah i agree. I think they're butting heads with an issue where they want the games to look realistic and urban but they also want to retain the iconic moves and poses from the series' 2D days which ends up running into the uncanny valley often. I felt SFV also had this issue to a degree.
>Before when the graphics were more cartoony, you can get away with this. But with more realistic graphics, you get more of the uncanny valley effect.
Kazuya sends his regards.
This looks way better to me than how the teaser looked
Still would have preferred to move away from the realistic art style but Im more hopeful now than I was after the teaser.
The problem with fighting games that go for “realism” in terms of lighting/models/ etc. Is that they have to target a rock solid 60fps that ideally should never dip on hardware as old as a PS4 which is a *severe* handicap in terms of visual fidelity. Other types of games are far more lenient with performance requirements so they can load up on great dynamic lighting, great shadows, textures, etc. So when you see the trailer for Street Fighter 6 sandwiched in between Resident Evil 4 remake and Final Fantasy 16 that chase somewhat similar aesthetics in terms of character design, you see how lacking Street Fighter 6 is even if it is the best looking 3D Street Fighter ever.
Arcsys games for example don’t really have this problem because they’re the only games that look like they do.
Edit: also, and this is just my opinion, the realistic models clash with the graffiti aesthetic.
IDK just looks like some ultra generic pubg models. Whats the style? SF2 and 3 had style, even 4 and 5 had style.
The two new characters look extremely lame.
I think it's the facial animation, the models are realistic but their expressions are weirdly cartoony. It looks good until you look at anyone but ryu's face for too long.
WHY CAN'T CAPCOM STILL NOT MAKE A GOOD LOOKING STREET FIGHTER HOLY SHIT IT'S BEEN 12 YEARS SINCE SF4 AND THE GAMES STILL LOOK LIKE ASS THE OLD ART STYLE IS ALREADY BUTCHERED AT THIS POINT HOW FUCKING HARD IS IT TO JUST COPY ARCSYS
> HOLY SHIT IT'S BEEN 12 YEARS SINCE SF4
you're saying this as if IV at all looks good
in reality there hasn't been a pretty SF title since Third Strike
You can't copy Arcsys' artsyle, the guy who's responsible for it was so highly rated from his achievement with Xrd he was promoted to game director for DBFZ. Arcsys have mastered it, and other developers are likely years if not a decade behind at this point.
There is no special tech/software being used for Arc's current style it's just a lot of meticulous work though you are right that devs can't do stuff like FighterZ or Strive on their first attempt they can certainly get it to look better than what the fuck capcom is doing
I know, Junya C Motomura gave the GDC talk and it's out there for everybody to study. But Arcsys are hundreds strong now with all devs being familiar with how to make their games look like that and the guy who spearheaded it is mentoring them.
And it's an artistic choice anyway, Capcom, NRS and others don't want to go that route for some reason.
The obvious reasons are general production flow and monetization. Mocap and standardized rigs can help a lot in asset generation, and even re-use. Much easier to make costumes for, as well.
>There is no special tech/software being used for Arc's current style
This is true for Beethoven, Mozart, Scorcese, Picasso, Da Vinci, etc. It's not about any special tech or software, it's about literal skill. The people at Arcsys are literally the highest skilled in this artstyle. Especially the dude at the top. It's understating to say that it's just "meticulous" work
Just pretend someone says "They should try to imitate Beethoven, sure it won't be as good on their 1st attempt, but it'll at least be better than what they're doing". It just doesn't make sense (Replace with Picasso, Da Vinci for art if it makes it relatively easier)
The problem is that Capcom also has tons of skilled artists with years of experience on top of that SF5 is like 8 years old now they had a lot of time to figure stuff out but SF6 barely looks better than 5
> AT THIS POINT HOW FUCKING HARD IS IT TO JUST COPY ARCSYS
I mean it is hard. Much harder than what they’ve been doing.
I haven’t liked the aesthetic of any 3D Capcom fighting game, even MVC3 which people love but I could never see why.
Edit: and honestly this is probably the best art style any of them have had and I still dislike it. Can’t wait to see how dirty they do Ken this time.
MvC3 is good enough in my opinion. The stylization makes up for the otherwise lacklustre models, and at the very least there was some effort put into its art direction to make sure the game didn't look like shit.
Mvc3 art style still hold up in my opinion. So does sf4. And funny enough the sfv cell shade option makes it look pretty dope as well. I wish they committed to that in sf6 but oh well.
nice graphics, is what i would say 10 years ago.
this looks like def jam or killer instinct.... no like literally they took their engine by the looks of it....
this is not a next gen looking sf game... the game looks so bad, damn.
I just don't understand why other fighting games have very hype reveals and at least look amazing visually but Capcom has managed to fuck their shit up more than once. Even MK11 looked sick af when they first showed it. This shit look like Urban Reign.
Gotta see an actual match because this does nothing but raise questions
[Much more gameplay info here btw](https://news.capcomusa.com/2022/06/02/street-fighter-6-redefines-the-genre-in-2023/)

Isn't modern control just stylish mode from xrd?
Basically
A lot of people are missing that Modern controls is LMHS, so you miss out on half of your normals. Sure you could play neutral with jab, forward, and fierce, but it's not gonna work out too well against someone who has all 6 buttons. Seems to balance itself nicely.
I better be able to filter matches based on control type.
Why would you filter out free wins?
Seeing how much more busted they can make Ken’s face waiting room.
Japanese developers need an open world intervention
Open world now. Frame data, trials, and good net code later. What could go wrong?
A Gacha System and limited character runs.
Looks like they put in fadc, or something akin to focus attacks. You can see it at 2:17.
on the website there's "Drive Rush," which is like the fast dash forward attack you see Ryu do vs Chun, and "Drive Impact" which is an armored move that wallsplats on block and is presumably the focus attack lookin one.
Damn, I was blinded by my hope.
focus attacks. And parry system? I believe Luke was doing some parry stance and Ryu did an obvious parry when chun li did the flip over the fireball.
Parry drains meter. Its more like melty shield or something
If you just hold it down, yeah, but if you "perfect parry" you get meter back
We Def Jam: Icon now.
Juri waiting room Still not giving a fuck about Luke tbh
Yeah... Not gonna lie, I hate how Luke looks. For whatever reason, he reminds me of Leffen and it's leaving some mental scars.
He looks like Ninja
Generic annoying content creator
Sup guys Luke here SHORYUKEN that like and subscribe button
xQc on hgh
Someone check some dates but I swear a developer unintentionally just made Luke exactly like another wrestler named HOOK
He looks dumb af but I think transitioning the protagonist from a traditional martial artist to a modern MMA fighter is actually pretty cool.

A style of music.
... I'm old.
Am I missing somethingm Did they play soemthing like UK drill in the trailer?

If they do to Juri in this game what they did to her in 5 then I'll pass
He looks like a retard and punches like a retard

No matter how hard they try and force him down my throat, I’ll always think this character looks stupid.
Will she have shoes on or bare feet ? This is the biggest determining factor. This is a make or break.
[I'm going to make the normals so stubby](https://imgur.com/G4HzeiT)
I'm gonna wait to hear LTG's thoughts before i form my opinion.
Gonna waste all these resources on gimmick "open world street fighter" and give you a 12 person base roster again
With possibly shitty netcode, too.
Animations look good, lets see if they outsource all the other characters.

Won't lie, I thought this was gonna be some clickbait. The single player mode took some unique steps too.
Fuck me why is the gameplay slower than SF5?????
shit look like somebody modded SF characters into MK lmao
Slow Fighter 6. Each sequel has gotten slower since Super Turbo
Sf3 was so slow yeah
it was slower than alpha but faster than 4
It will probably speed up like SFV’s early gameplay did
I'm trying to remain hopeful that the art style will grow on me and that the gameplay doesn't end up being as sluggish as it looks. Chun li looks like one of them Chinese mobile ad game characters, straight outa that sword and fairy 7 game.
No Asian in an Asian mobile game looks as Asian as Chun does.
she looks like that spoiled 30-40 yr old chinese milf in a benz except with gigaass
And it's great.
Gameplay looked really slow and weighty, reminded me more of Virtua Fighter.
I was thinking more like Killer Instinct. The way the moves land has this sudden impact when they link together and I kinda fuck with it.
Reminded me a lot of Mortal Kombat
Idk i think id prefer this to mk lol
That looked really good to me idk why people hating on here

Gameplay looked smooth. Cant wait for Graffiti paint Supers
Did you forget where you are
I dont like the aesthetic at all.
I liked NBA Street at the time. Now this just looks dated.
We MK now guys!
That hadoken from the hip, ufff
Yeah that was weird like Sakuras v skill in 5
My thoughts exactly. Realism is not what SF needed imo.

SF 4 and 5 both get mad shit for their artstyle. Can't blame them for changing.
Because they were fugly ass games. I’m pretty sure all people want is a game that’s visually appealing.

And SFV did look/feel very different when it finally released, so at least it shows Capcom does change stuff.
too much hitstop
isnt this a thing they do with trailers lately? slow it down some to make it easier to digest for a normal audience?
the coping begins
The project L and KOF trailers were like this too
That's to keep r/StreetFighter from complaining about how hard the game is on day one.
Well at least chun li is still thick

HYPE!
Yes, none of the games had any logos other than playstation logo. Even the multiplatform ones.
Yeah, gotta wait the official press release & websites etc for other platforms.
Hey at least they fixed the 6
See me in 7
Holy shit....
Each passing day I'm thankful for +R rollback
We can say it's Waco all we want but as long as Capcom Pro Tour exists the first major will get Evo level entrants
Man this sub is retarded on a daily basis.
they mortal kombatified SF
It was only a matter of time.
I can understand not liking the artstyle but its hard to say it looks bad
? Easy to say it looks bad.
This subreddit hates anything capcom
OP has 98% upvotes, plus ppl love 3S around here which is a capcom game
Huge feeling of just meh. The fighting looks slow and clunky. The wall splatter stuff looks like it’s going to be annoyingly distracting. Don’t even get me started on yet another “open world” type thing for some sort of single player mode. Why must everything be open world these days? I sort of got excited when it looked like they were lining up for a 2v2 ala Street Fighter X Tekken. I think it would be an interesting game mode but obviously the 1v1 should be the main focus
New Watchdog look shit, good job ubisoft
Marc ecko' Street fighter up. I hope they tone down the graffiti shit.
Ah fuck it's gonna be trash huh?
sleep fighter
>kappa pretending this looks bad The 3d hub world is interesting.
There’s also the first final fight boss, it will be playable for sure given how his graphics where
They changed the logo. Good job guys.
What a letdown. Idk what I wanted, but I know it wasn't this.
the paint splosh style is outdated and looks like dog shit
Sleep Fighter 6
Aw hell nah They made NBA 2K MyPark into a fighting game
Not to mentions the innovate 3D model and good facial expression, people at the time just too dumb to realized how GOLD this game is"
things are not looking good streetfighter bros
?

Splatoon invented graffiti
Jet Street Fighter Radio 6
I like the new breakdance-fu guy but what the hell have they done to Chun?
whats wrong with chun li? shes a milf now
Can someone tell me why it looks slower? All the hits have the NRS kinda heavy feeling, if you know what I mean? I think the artsy effects with the spray paint is great, same with the sound effects but the "heaviness" really bothers me.
I need to see more because this shit looks meh at best.
ngl I think this looks okay. Holding my judgment to see an actual match without all this nonsense hitstop though.
The fuck?
It looks bad, that heavy bloom effect, floating gameplay just like SF X Tekken, weird style.
wtf did I just watch
I'd be lying if I say that nothing here looked interesting. But, I remain skeptical on several points. Like motion input.
It waS ok til the fights started looks clunky n slow
lol, game looks awful. Dark ages of FGs.
Now we wait for tekken 8 to be announced with incredible unreal engine 5 graphics, great legacy gameplay.... But no rollback, yay.
Fucking preach. Although if we’re honest, there is no way SF6 is as bad as 5 out of the gate. The odds are in Capcoms favour.
It's MVCI Chun all over again
Fuck this doesnt look good
I don't get it.
It's clear they want that mainstream diet-MMA audience and old wacky SF doesn't work for that It sucks but it makes sense.
This looks way better to me than how the teaser looked Still would have preferred to move away from the realistic art style but Im more hopeful now than I was after the teaser.
Edit: also, and this is just my opinion, the realistic models clash with the graffiti aesthetic.
this is sf5.5, check chuns face or that jamie clown lookin like he escaped fortnite
IDK just looks like some ultra generic pubg models. Whats the style? SF2 and 3 had style, even 4 and 5 had style. The two new characters look extremely lame.
sub is filled with tekken deepthroaters and random complainers that dont play shit, what do you expect
I think it's the facial animation, the models are realistic but their expressions are weirdly cartoony. It looks good until you look at anyone but ryu's face for too long.
it looks like utter shit
That Jamie guy looks kinda cool ngl
holy crap the storry mode is rpg now thay totally copy shenmue 3 this looks amaszing 🙀🙀🙀
> HOLY SHIT IT'S BEEN 12 YEARS SINCE SF4 you're saying this as if IV at all looks good in reality there hasn't been a pretty SF title since Third Strike
his point is that sfiv looks awful and it’s looked awful since then
I'm more convinced, as the years come and go, that Third Strike - even with its bullshitery - is the best overall SF title to date.
That was my point too, series hasn't been looking good starting with 4
You can't copy Arcsys' artsyle, the guy who's responsible for it was so highly rated from his achievement with Xrd he was promoted to game director for DBFZ.
>There is no special tech/software being used for Arc's current style This is true for Beethoven, Mozart, Scorcese, Picasso, Da Vinci, etc. It's not about any special tech or software, it's about literal skill. The people at Arcsys are literally the highest skilled in this artstyle. Especially the dude at the top. It's understating to say that it's just "meticulous" work Just pretend someone says "They should try to imitate Beethoven, sure it won't be as good on their 1st attempt, but it'll at least be better than what they're doing". It just doesn't make sense (Replace with Picasso, Da Vinci for art if it makes it relatively easier)
The problem is that Capcom also has tons of skilled artists with years of experience on top of that SF5 is like 8 years old now they had a lot of time to figure stuff out but SF6 barely looks better than 5
> AT THIS POINT HOW FUCKING HARD IS IT TO JUST COPY ARCSYS I mean it is hard.
They have way more money and developers than Arc has ever had at any point, Especially when they were making Xrd
SFIV doesn't look good wtf
2:11 Thank me later
It looks like sf5 but with 12 fugly filters thrown on top. Not a fan.
I want to rip my eyes off
nice graphics, is what i would say 10 years ago. this looks like def jam or killer instinct.... no like literally they took their engine by the looks of it.... this is not a next gen looking sf game... the game looks so bad, damn.
You don't have to like it but you're crazy if you think this looks like a 2012 FG lol
I just don't understand why other fighting games have very hype reveals and at least look amazing visually but Capcom has managed to fuck their shit up more than once. Even MK11 looked sick af when they first showed it. This shit look like Urban Reign.
I'm gonna say it SF5 looks better than this
As a diehard defender of SF5 despite knowing in my heart it wasn't that great, I was waiting for SF6 to finally save the FGC. But this just looks bad.
