Neither the pills you bought nor the Bot Tonic one is kava.
Kava is a beverage made with the raw root of the Piper Methysticum (kava) plant. The extract products you've tried aren't kava any more than a caffeine pill or Mountain Dew is coffee.

Interesting. So continuing the caffeine analogy, the effects of kava beverage aren’t felt in pill/botanic tonics form then? The same as if you take a caffeine pill, you’ll still feel the caffeine effects like you would from coffee but not get the other qualities of the coffee.

Higher dosage of good quality kava. There is a fine line though I find between just right and too much. One big cup to start, then little cups every 10min to find the sweet spot.

Will have then 2 metric cups washed down with a few sips of my fave chocolate milk. Then I will do a second wash with 300ml of warm water and add to the first wash and drink over an hour and a half.
This leaves me relaxed and ready for sleep around 8:30pm. It may take some time to get the mix/timing right, it may take some experimentation, but also kava may not work for some people..”
5-6 tablespoons is around 80-95grams approx of traditional grind. This doesn’t get me intoxicated, but gets me nice.

A KILO mixed into 2 gallons of water, shared amongst 4 brothers and drank over a 3 hour period.

1/4 cup is about 25g. That should get you closer to buzzing if your kava is decent quality
