To make it worse I bought a black R7 3 weeks before they released the 60th anniversary edition white and red for $300 more. This happened to me with two bikes in a row.
The R7 was an awesome bike. I run fast intermediate pace and my lap times between the R7 and my 636 are almost identical.
99% of people will never come close to pushing an R7 past it's limits . I understand you're just poking fun which is part of motorcycling but so far everyone I've got to ride with it that shit on my R7 I had to wait for at the end of the canyon, they're also the same guys that never have to buy any new knee pucks cuz they've never used them. Unless you're a very very high level club racer/track rider I can't think of a better bike to use for a track day.
The R7 is an amazing bike but needs an exhaust and remap to get rid of that hole around 8-10k RPM from what I‘ve heard.
If I had more than 2000€, I would‘ve probably bought an R7 for my first bike instead of my ZXR 400 but I don‘t regret it a single bit.
Sure mine needs a full engine rebuild, new fairings and a few bits and pieces but no bike I‘ve ridden makes me smile as much as a high revving 400cc 4cyl.
Never got to ride a zxr but a buddy at the shop I work at bought one of the new zx400RR s and I got to ride it after he got the tune because the North American models are neutered from the factory. It was every bit as fun as my R7 outside of the low end torque that makes the R7 wheelie as easy as a dirt bike.
There's definitely no hole in the power band from 8 to 10 it pulls almost perfectly linear all the way through. Good luck with your ZXR 400 I'm jealous.
The ZX4RR is definetly a bike I want to ride but won‘t make sense for me to buy, especially after investing 2000€ into it for a rebuild and some other bits and pieces to squeeze out, hopefully close to 80HP. Plus some weight reduction (and a diet for the rider 😜) should give me a pretty capable track and canyon carver.
Thanks and keep safe!
How can I both like and dislike something at the same time? Blue and green don’t go well together so I don’t like it, yet I still like it. Somebody pls explain this to me
We had a similar conversation about it in the shop. Like, if you *described* it to me beforehand, as a sportbike primarily colored in bright green, blue and white with green wheels and a silver frame, I would've said "That sounds terrible."
But, once it's actually in front of you... damn it, it works.
Yeah, my first thought was [the old KR1S](https://mcn-images.bauersecure.com/wp-images/3872/951x634/04kawasaki-kr-1s.jpg?mode=max&quality=90&scale=down).
i dont get it either. something about color theory. ive felt this about some bikes, as well as colors in video games. sometimes its the lighting that plays a huge part. I remember when i was looking for a bike, i wanted the classic blue gsxr. but at the dealer they only had a black one, and i got to see a krt ninja in person, the green stood out way better than photos online. i ended up getting the ninja because they had it and i fell in love with the green.
My friend is actually selling the real one for 8000$ atm 1991 zx750-j1 which was my very first bike i learned on as well making me want to get another. Too bad i just bought my r7. The new one the color scheme doesnt fit as good bc how aggressive it looks; ;but i think its bc of the blue instead of the purplish blue the retro had. I just wish bikes had thr multi color levery that the older bikes had instead of these solid color bikes now. Miss repsol designs, muzzy designs on street bikes.
This looks like a racebike, but I can never figure out where the 400cc class is. There are lots of classes up to 350, then classes seem to go up to 600cc. The only up to 400cc I found were single cylinder.
Do people race these?
This one sparks joy
I'll never forgive Kawasaki for releasing this right after I bought my KRT 636.
lol, I completely understand your anger. That bike is sexy af

Next time you have to buy a bike tell us, we will wait for a newer version 😂
I'm buying a Suzuki next, so just after I buy it they should have an amazing Lucky Strike Barry Sheen edition Gixxer 1000, 750, 600 coming out.
To make matters even worse you bought an R7 instead of a ninja 😵😵

I believe you . I for one can’t ride anywhere near as good as my zx6r can give me .
Don't feel bad, I can't come close either. Modern super sports are so much better than the average rider I'm almost embarrassed when I buy one.

I love the colors, I see a lot of the 90s Kawi 150 two strokes where I’m at in this scheme. It’s classic

It's nostalgia. Early 90s liveries are all the rage now. I love it.

That thing looks bad ass! I have a C14 and it's a beast...I can only imagine what that is like to ride

I love it. Retro for sure.
its beautiful...❤
Beautiful. I'm waiting for mine to arrive in Asheville NC.
I hate that I somehow don’t like it
Oh damn it's beautiful.
I'll take it!
Can’t wait to receive ours at my dealer. Not the 4RR but we have a 10 coming in this design. Excited to see it in person.
Can't wait to get my ZX14R next Spring
I have always liked this livery. Can’t wait to see the ZX14R.
the green insanely pops out in the sunlight. i really want the wheels.
Hell yes! looks exquisite!
So bloody happy I waited for this one
Scott Russell will approve!! \m/><\m/
SEXXXX-Y!!!

11/10 paintwork.
I had to lower my screen brightness The bike just shines
The blue should be purple
So bad yet so goood...
I want the zx14r anniversary edition 😍
The Seattleites approve!
While I m getting around on a 17 year old bike 😂
I should have waited to 2024 to buy my 4RR😔
How was the test ride?
The colourway is just so nice I must say!
#ZX4RR!!! 😍😍😍
Didn’t know this existed 400cc 4 cylinder and 16k redline. Cool setup and looks great too
Diggin that throwback color scheme
Ten grand for 25 torque is stupid. Idc how nice it looks when a 3 grand 20 year old sv650 will dust it
