Kigali is a nice place to live (safe, clean, etc). Here is what I can advise:
1. People are very welcoming, everyone is willing to help. Language can be a barrier in some cases. For a better experience, I’d advise having a Rwandan friend (easy to make, people are friendly) or someone who knows Rwanda on your speed dial for quick queries. The night life is vibrant too!
2. You can pretty much visit anywhere easily(most places are on Google maps). For recommendations on where to visit, ask within your network or checkout TikTok, there’s many recommendations.
3. Kigali is safe; yes, what they say is true :) the most common mode of transportation is moto but also car taxis are available (yego or Move app). It is also a bit more expensive than most African cities but worth it.
4. Rwandans can stare :) Don’t be alarmed by that, there is nothing wrong; they are just curious!
