I sort of understand them not wanting to tour the states with the show especially since by staying in Austin they’re creating a monopoly where they and all their friends get paid by keeping everything there- but I do wonder if they’ll make an exception for overseas shows? Sure- they can make all that money without going anywhere, but surely there’s some pros to overseas appearances too? Further exposure, networking + all the other benefits of travelling. Maybe it’s just too much of a logistical nightmare etc. I just hope I can catch another show sometimes cuz I’m never gonna go to the US

It just feels like everyone wants to be able to say “retard” and “faggot” so badly that they don’t want to risk any pushback from crowds in different parts of the country.
David Lucas said it himself, the comedians get better by being told they suck and getting roasted, but Tony will never risk it for himself/the show to try and prove all this comedy gospel he preaches in other places by doing road shows ever again.
I love the show a ton and like Tony too, but they really are insulating themselves and creating an echo chamber at times.
