Not just woodpeckers. I have had bulbuls, crows and those loud chattering birds that travel in groups attack their reflections in my windows.
The only exception is a sunbird which sings to its reflection, lol. A
yeah i have the same issue, its the reflection... i know its the very same woodpecker every single time cause it comes exactly at 6:30am to peck on the window like an alarm clock..... motherpecker cracked the glass as well!!!

It's very common mate...the thing is ,they see their reflection in glass..and mistake it as a bird or something so they kind of attacks😂
