Komi was my first step from more battle Shonen shows into slice of life romcoms. Toradora, My Dressup Darling, Kaguya Sama, and just finished my first watch of Your Lie in April. Can't believe I've went so many years without this genre.

wow_im_uncreative

Wow this is literally the exact same route I took also, Komi was the first slice of life I watched and it kind of got me hooked and I followed it up with Toradora, My Dressup Darling and Kaguya which are all fantastic shows. The only other one I would throw in there is Nagatoro, I started reading the manga after watching the first season and its become one of my favorites

SCredfury788

I trust your taste completely and putting that on my watch list now

Giga_Chadimus007

Sense you have Netflix and I’m assuming you like the whole “life during high school” thing I’d recommend Saiki K it’s a really funny anime and I won’t say to much so I don’t spoil it for you

3crt1

Try something like haikyuu or smth

Altruistic-Cat1487

Currently rewatching The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. It's weird and the main character is obnoxious and kinda frustrating but plays really well with the rest of cast and it does make for funny moments. In romcoms, Oregairu is a great watch, now that it's complete. Kaguya-Sama Love is War, for more anxieties but presented as strategy and mind games. Monthly Girls Nozaki kun is fun and plays with a lot of the usual romantic tropes. Kimi ni Todoke is really sweet and is getting a new season later this year.

Sudden_Bee_6821

After watching komi-san, I started with demon slayer, and now I am watching spy x family and Nanatsu no taizen

I remember watching Komi some 3 months ago for the first time. It was also my first anime in over 9 years that I watched. Thanks to Komi I remembered how awesome all those anime are so I went on the netflix binge marathon and I watched: Seraph of the end, kakegurui (awesome! Yumeka the best girl after Rias!), Romantik killer, Toradora (!), Kotaro lives alone, Tokyo ghoul, Demon Slayer, The beginning, Castlevania, The seven deadly sins. Then I switched to Crunchyroll but there is too many titles there to start listing :) And now I'm watching Haikyu(awesome!) Also worth mentioning, recently Suzume came out on Netflix. If you haven't seen it yet, then I'd recommend watching that one first. And if you happen to like it, I'd recommend watching Your name and then Weathering with you. All three movies are masterpieces :)

Dansterai

The dangers in my heart is good if you're into the romance aspect

KerbodynamicX

Since it’s on Netflix, I watched Cyberpunk Edgerunners afterwards. You can find traits of familiar characters, but in a far less friendly setting

Minute-Influence-735

Apothecary Diaries, then start s2 of Mushoku Tensei

ErikBlueThePotato

Not related to the genre, but Blue Period struck me hard as an artist

QueenAmazonNYC

Try Delicious in Dungeon and Blue Eyed Samurai

xEMCEBESx

It was my first anime so everything after it is basically all animes i have watched. Immediately after Komi I watched Prima Doll, Kaguya sama love is war, Citrus, Onimai and Your Name. Now I watch a lot of seasonal anime (Tensura s3, Mushoku s2p2, Spice and Wolf remake) and some from past seasons (Your Liw in April, Higehiro, Sasaki and Peeps) What I reccomend is Romance: Kaguya sama Love is War, Kimi ni Todoke, Currently Airing: Jellyfish Cant Swim in the Night, Spice and Wolf remake, Romance(yuri): Bloom into You, SoL: Onimai

708-AAA-HELPLS

If you don’t mind me asking how do you get those “titles”?

xEMCEBESx

I dont understand question. Why is tittles in "". Is there something wrong?

708-AAA-HELPLS

I didn’t know what it was called and I’m just asking how to get one

xEMCEBESx

I found komi on ig and decided ro give it a go and after that i seen other animes there (up to silent voice, after your name). Most of the tittles i found on ig or tiktok. I decide by looking at the artstyle and description which shows i will watch I dont know if it answers your question but maybe it is helpful.

hvictorino

After Komi i went straight to Berserk

UnderCraft_383

LOVE IS WAR LOVE IS WAR LOVE IS WAAAAAR!!! Absolutely hilarious anime about 2 high schooler who are in love with eachother but REFUSE to admit it. They will try ANYTHING to make the other confess them instead. It’s war. And each interaction is a battle. Leading to some of the most over the top humor I have ever seen in anime! Both of them make these SUPER complicated plans and overthink EVERYTHING. One wrong move and the person they have a crush on might think they love them (a fate worse then death to these characters) PLEASE watch it!!!

pop_rokz

If im gonna be honest I went from KCC to Another (which is a horror-ish anime with a bunch of gore)

rejectedmyhumanity
