Doth thou very regard one sentence about a minor character would wrack the anime for thou?
Then definitely read the Dust LNs! Back when I read all LNs I read them in a certain order so everything is in chronological order. The dust books need a bit to pick up the pace (I didn't like the first 2-3 that much) but after that ohh boy. Definitely recommend them as they tie in great with the "normal" story and especially the ending! You'd miss one of the best character arcs by not reading them.
I can imagine how she would react to hearing Kazuma with 2 billion dollars now, hell it would be funny to see her instantly freeze her husband as he makes a face knowing she's about to freeze his 🫏, and then unbuttons a couple buttons to flirt with Kazuma with Megumin flipping out about it.

Some notable feats for easier comparison:
Mitsurugi needs his cheat sword to oneshot a dragon. He is very tanky though, and can survive a mountain-busting attack from Thor's hammer (another cheat item) and an avalanche.
Dust can KO his pet dragon with a single punch. He also oneshotted a DK general candidate with a normal spear. DK castle guards are all DK general level. Dust is hella squishy tho, he can be wounded by normal weapons if he doesn't wear any armor (which is practically everytime).
Wiz can slay dragons with a single spell (or even a single touch if it's not lucky enough to avoid the instant death effect).
Do you remember the time when Kazuma exchange parties with Dust for one day? anime skipped it but its on LN. Kazuma and dust's other parties confront with some fang beast If I remember. A pretty dangerous one. Kazuma and other's barely made safely out of it.
Thing is , Dust and kazuma's useless parties( Aqua, Megumin and Darkness) also confronted that beast that day. Megumin, Aqua and Darkness was knout out and only Dust was there. Seeing that desperate situation he is in that he has to save himself and others too. He gave up his sword and use something which resemble his main weapon he would used in the past. He knout out that fang beast soloed. Then rescued others.
he didn't fight it seriously because he was surrounded by others who would also help fight it and be able to revive him (Aqua), he'd probably take the hydra solo if he was being serious and using a spear

It’s official and canon. It’s by a different author but under direction from the original. Most of the story is from the original author and this guy just turned it into books.
I think you’d enjoy his back story. And then some of the antics are hilarious.
Darkness is in the first a good bit. We run into everyone else here and there. But not too much. Make sure you’ve read all of the mainline series becuase it follows that same timeline.

It’s just misinformation (‘he said/she said’) and you should know that her name would be Lalatina, as her family name is Ford Dustiness (Dust is Dust’s first name, not his surname.) There’s many blonde characters in this series and most aren’t related, otherwise this series would be a lot more incestuous with Claire and Iris, Darkness and Alderp, and etc. Dust’s introduction was also before Darkness’ name reveal, so no reason to say what you did in your comment as if it were the truth.
By saying they're "somehow related" I was just relaying what my friend said, but I wasn't implying they're relatives, it's my bad for putting it that way and putting second hand info here too.

Dust is not his real name... Also Dust if get serious can solo Wiz. ( he is never serious) .
