Really shitty work across the board. Absolutely no redeeming qualities. Keep going. You’ll be fine. I got that kind of score when I started and ended up at 171.

[deleted]

Holy shit that’s amazing. What was your study schedule like/resources used?

[deleted]

I did every PT (2-3 hours per day almost every day for nine months), the entire 7sage curriculum, read the LSAT Trainer, the Logic Games Bible, completed all their exercises. 1-2 months before the test I drilled constantly. Some PT’s I did 2-3 times just to build stamina and head game. I did this all while working a full time corp management job and being an active parent to two young children. I did this despite being a naturally lazy person with a 3.0 undergrad GPA I’m not saying my way is the only way or even the best way, but the bottom line is you get out what you put in. The number of people on this subreddit who think they can hit 170+ with an hour or two, two or three times a week and not thoroughly learning the test itself is mind blowing. Like, maybe, but almost certainly not. Like most things in life you have to work for it, For me, that year of hell was the difference between debt and no debt. I am so glad I did it.

Mad Props

Can I ask LuckyScars where you ended up going/are planning to go? I’m in the same boat with GPA. My goal is to go to law school for free. It is always motivating to hear that it’s possible with a good LSAT score.

sd_pinstripes

not sure what criticism you're looking for. study - everything.

HiddenKai104

Not much criticism people can give you just off of this. Keep studying and good luck!

I also got a 141 as a diagnostic a couple weeks ago. I've been studying with Khan Academy, and you learn how to identify question types (assumptions, strengthen/weaken, ordering, grouping, mixed setups, main point, deductions). If you learn how to look out for the question type (and it's usually just in the question), then you know what kind of answer they're looking for. For me, I would answer an assumption for a conclusion question, or choose answers that were partially true, but not completely true. Simple mistakes like that. Also, the Logic Games is the area where you can improve the most.

MaxAvery

Stick to two resding comps and two games for now when you do a section timed. But you really shouldn't be doing anything timed yet. You need to work on getting a process down that lets you get questions right. That means working slowly and carefully until you've mastered the underlying principles of a section. When those become second nature your speed naturally increases. Be patient with yourself and remember that every question has a right answer and 4 wrong answers.

Hi-its-just-meee1

Practice, practice, practice! You got this!

SamuelDoctor

Study 30 minutes a day for six months and your score will improve significantly.

geeklydumb

NEVER just leave questions unanswered! they don’t count against you if they’re wrong, so when you get down on time and can’t answer with thought behind it, guess on everything you haven’t gotten to yet before leaving questions blank. you never know how many correct guesses you’ll have :)

LostAzrdraco

Was section one logic games? You're wasting too much time trying to brute force questions. You only got to two of four games. Read all four games first, then do them out of order. The second question is usually easiest, the first can be the most difficult.

Thank you 😊

Honestly don’t put too much stock in your diagnostic. A great diagnostic can be a good predictor of success, but a lower one doesn’t preclude you from a high score. Have a goal in mind career wise, find some schools that fit your goals, aim for their 75th percentile LSAT, study until your PTs are in that range and then crush the test. That calculus doesn’t change no matter what your starting diagnostic is, there’s no cap on what your score can be at this point. With enough time studying the right way improvement is inevitable.

[deleted]

Take that dumb “VICTRY” sticker down. Bad Karma clearly.

😂😂😂

Thank you everyone for taking the time to leave some words of encouragement/advice

Admirable-Lake-2217

You are clearly running out of time, but don’t focus on that just yet focus on understanding what the questions are asking and why the right answer is right! I would skip doing timed full length tests for a long while until you get more solid footing on the question types/sections

finaleeme

Before you run out of time, in the last minute or so, fill in your remaining blanks. Don't leave any blanks. I know you're working on the PTs for an honest assessment but, how you practice becomes what you do in the game. I agree w/the others, there's not much to see in terms of what can be critiqued; saw those unanswered questions and just wanted to remind you about not leaving points on the floor.

RIP

SoporificEffect

But the loophole and understand the basics first. You’re missing level 1-3 questions which is unacceptable

BigBankroll95

How did you fail a test in 2007 ? You wouldn’t stand a chance in 2023

lizhilflos

Practice!! A lot & it can get better.

Started here, and am now at my dream school. You can do it! Practice practice practice. Pieces come together eventually, and don’t get disheartened if you don’t see immediate progress. I’d recommend putting down for one of the study programs. Kaplan was my go to, and they were great. If this is something you really want, it’s gonna happen. Just get ready for sweat and excess coffee

Liamcoin

You spelled victory wrong

Far_Mathematician_55

7sage has a good core curriculum that’s could help get you to a baseline score. Once you get comfortable with question types and concepts redoing old PTs and reviewing EACH question and EACH answer choice. That helped me get from 150s to the 160s

ambsv37

I diagnosed at a 144. Im 4 months into studying and already scoring in the high 150’s (aiming for low 160’s). You can do it! Use the resources out there available to you and just keep grinding! You got this.

Do better
