Currently playing the texan, no power build. Build guide by Beryl.

mbpeters13

I hear that one does a lot of damage

acousticallyregarded

Didn’t know they had Texans in this game

FlySociety1

Shield charge ignite forge guard

18WheelsOfJustice

How good is it? I’m still in my leveling build at 62 with my FG and planned to go shield charge ignite

QueenDeadLol

Spellblade is neat. Planning on melting the pinnacle boss with shatterstrike.

AlphaDemonTech

You got a build guide or you follow one ? I can’t find a regular shatter strike build (that isn’t max roll). Thanks !

[deleted]

Acid Flask Falconer. I am making my own build so i have no idea how its going to go but i like the skill. I only made it to about level 12 before i had to leave for work

chontos

This is what it's all about.

NonnagLava

Played at launch, with Volatile Ice and had a BLAST, I struggled getting into the very lastest end game, but man every time I found a new way to upgrade the build, and push just a BIT further (managed to do all the empowered monoliths, just kind of ran out of "content" to do that wasn't repetitive) it felt SO good. And the SOUND of the flasks is so satisfying.

Bob9010

I played it last cycle, and it was fun. Some combos I discovered: Cradle of the Erased gives a stacking buff that increases block chance, and you lose stacks when you block. Falconer has a node on the passive tree that converts chance to block to chance to deflect. Since you no longer block, Cradle of Erased is always at full stacks, giving you about 55% deflect chance, depending on rolls. Elecoe's Abandon makes you drink a potion when you throw an acid flask. This triggers when your falcon also throws a flask. This also triggers the experimental belt prefixes "mana gained on potion use" and "experimental ward on potion use". I used the mana one so throwing the flask would refill my mana. I would suggest also having an increased chance to find potions because you can go through your entire stock very fast with this combo.

[deleted]

Ok thanks for the info. Already seems like mana is going to be an issue that i will need to keep an eye on

Bob9010

If you're just throwing the flask, it's not too bad since you can get -mana cost of throwing skills on your rings. I think you need 2x tier 7 rolls to make acid flask cost 0 mana. If you're going to have the flasks trigger from the traps, then that will use a ton of mana. Though the traps that throw the traps don't seem to trigger the effect from the body armor I mentioned. At least the bird can still use the flasks for you!

Canzas

Same as me. I only hit lvl 15 because of work, haha

[deleted]

I have a forge knight and void knight and am probably making another of one of those because sentinel is fun af for me I don’t know I have problems.

thekmanpwnudwn

Lightning Shaman. Storm totem, gathering storm, tornado and lightning wolves. Fury leap for movement. Melting enemies way faster than my shatter strike spell blade last cycle

runeza43

I suggest using storm crow as movement skill It feel quite good to use on my 1.0 build

NoroGG

Playing thorn totem spriggan druid while I level with a plan to transition to frostbite locust swarm swarmblade

DiligentIndustry6461

Thorn spriggan shaman was my original choice for cycle start before I changed to forgeguard last minute. I liked the storm totem play style with the storm carved testament off lagon

Brecken79

On vacation right now but definitely jumping in with a Void Knight. I’ve never run one before, so should be interesting.

Unendingmenace

I played an Erasing strike void knight on release and it was amazing! Felt so fluid charging around the map with void cleave (upgraded to turn it into a traversal skill) and then the next erasing strike being a guaranteed crit was ridiculous. The screen would literally be cleared. Definitely the best bonk build I've ever played in an ARPG. Ahhhh it's making me want to roll one again instead of making a necro summoner

Jay_the_casual

I'm going voidy as well. What do you level with? I'm doing charge, rive, and erasing. Currently level 25

Unendingmenace

This is a great build and should get you started: https://www.lastepochtools.com/build-guides/bonk-knight---erasing-strike-void-knight You can mix and match things as you go. The hardest part of levelling is dealing with lack of mana so definitely try to prioritise +mana and +mana regen until you're conformable. I had rive (unlevelled) on my bar until I sorted out mana, that way I still had an attack I could use on bosses if I ran out of mana between erasing strike bonks.

platypusavenger

Bonk feels good, I started a VK last season and ended up sticking with Erasing Strike through the mid 80s. Probably go all the way this time.

DiligentIndustry6461

VK was decent enough to level last cycle so it should be way better this one! Erasing strike and void cleave are fun, erasing strike literally erases them and doesn’t even leave corpses which is kinda funny

4pigeons

Upheaval Werebear

Adept-Department3584

Rive- Judgement Paladin

Mushytushypushy

Hell yeah

Chance-Range2855

Shadowdagger Falconer. It’so addicting

DamnedDoom

Following any guides? I'm going Blademaster but I'm not sure about it yet

Timmpah

Unmatched storm Storm Totem, melting everything so far and having a great time cant wait to hit monos! :)

Klooey

Same here thunder totem will decimate in this patch.

_PM_Me_Game_Keys_

You following a build or just making it yourself

Timmpah

It's my own build, been going through it since patch dropped so it's minmaxed just have to test now that all interactions works as intended against a target dummy now :)

dperls

Mind sharing?

Timmpah

I could but it's made with highend lategame in mind and all the transitions from early to mid to late is in my head and would require a guide to explain, if you still want I will send it. There's also some skill tree passives I need to double check so the interaction is working as I'd imagine.

azuraith4

Warpath smith fire paladin. Got the new legendary around lvl 15, it's insanely strong. I think, given enough mana, there's synergy here to pump out 10 smites per second

CrowfielDreams

Dr3ad's sorc volcanic orb meteor ignite build into some mana stacking static orb spark charge build later. Volcanic orb ignite has been incredible for the campaign.

opulent_lemon

Same except I'm gonna stick with the ignite template and see how far I can take it.

Socrathustra

Just my experience, oftentimes if you play a variant on a popular build, there turns out to be a reason it's not the popular variant.

opulent_lemon

What popular build is this a variant of? I'm not aware.

Socrathustra

I might have misunderstood. I read the first comment and your reply as saying, there is a streamer/builder with a popular build, which is not based on ignite, but you are going to try it as ignite. Is there an ignite variation published by the builder? If so then ignore me.

acousticallyregarded

The original build is ignite based with meteor and volcanic orb The mana stacking Sorc will be good, it’s just going to need investment and planning which makes it not a popular league starter, but it will still be very very good most likely

CrowfielDreams

The build is ignite based. He just meant he was going to stick with it instead of swapping to a different build like I said I was (mana stacker spark charges).

dukehj1991

Warlock

LetsBeNice-

Do you know what build ? I played bleed last cycle not sure about the other builds.

dukehj1991

I never played a warlock in 1.0 but I am aiming for the lazy one button fissure build in this cycle

DiMMisha

Druid Beastmaster using only companions. I’m doing Wolfs, Bear, Raptors, Scorpion, Sabertooth. I’m trying to see how far I can go but most likely I will need to add Swipe or Warcry and remove 1/2 companions. I love summoning builds.

Socrathustra

The companion limit usually makes this pretty bad. Summoning builds are fair game, but as yet I'm not aware of any viable synergy across that many pet skills.

DiMMisha

So far I’m looking at Swipe that can build Bleed and Lightning. Bleed is also used by Wolfs and Raptors for more dmf and crit. Bears can get the Swipe bonuses and I’m debating between Scorpion and Sabertooth. So Wolf/Bear/Raptor/Scorpion or Sabertooth and Swipe. I wanted to add bees into the mix but will see if that is even possible. I will give it a try and see what happens. Maybe I will make it work or maybe someone will read this comment and make it work, or worst case scenario I will look into a build. I will keep you posted if this works at all 🙃

Socrathustra

My advice: pick a damage type. Pick whether you want it to be dot or crit. Pick whether you or your minions want to deal the damage. Then pick one or two skills that seem like they deal your chosen combo well, and pick the rest of the skills to support them. The problem is two things: 1. Action economy: you can only do one thing at a time 2. Damage synergy: addition is a lot less powerful than multiplication, especially given (1), which implies you can't add more than one skill's damage at a time Five companions may all be active at the same time, but you can only activate their skills one at a time. They also specialize in different damage types mostly without boosting each other.

TrashEatingBaby

Attempting a bleed raptor beastmaster, warcry for the beserk, malestrom for the frenzy/haste/chill, swipe for the rampage reset and heal, not sure what my last skill will be, maybe frenzy totem, maybe ettera’s blessing, any suggestions?

SaintJackDaniels

Once you get the raptor sword, wolf for +1 max companions to get another raptor

Socrathustra

Swarmblade?

omnigear

First time going shaman

Velrion

non-channeled Avalanche Shaman, hits like a fucking truck, going to add Upheaval procs later for full decimation.

JRockBC19

Cold or phys shaman? I'm torn between doing this or going for a hammer-smite build on one of the sent specs

Velrion

cold, still going strong at lvl 65. Adding upheaval procs is going to require a lot of mana regen.

-carl94-

Started a lich. And have no clue what would be a good endgame build but the character seems fun enough

Beginning_Bother_420

I'm on a vacation, but when I come back I'm gonna be starting combustion zombie bomber ignite lich. I think Dr3adful has a guide.

Pix4Geeks

Sorcerer Meteor is the goal. But still level 10, so it's Sorcerer Glacier for now \^\^

sadtimes12

Disintegrate Lightning Sorcerer with as much max mana as possible. Build is home-brew, see how it plays out.

Dasterr

Im retrying fireball meteor sorcerer the new node that refunds mana should solve a LOT of problems I had with the build in the 1.0 version. I had to sacrifice lots of damage for manaregen which meant I couldnt kill anything fast meaning I died a lot

[deleted]

Going forge guard, unsure what abilities yet but I'm liking the spin ability with an axe and bleed.

ebussy_jpg

Haven’t started yet and can’t decide. Warlock was so fun that I’m tempted to do it again/a different subclass, or maybe void knight finally.

MrPageau

I'm torn between Thorn totems or squirrel build, what do you guys think? I wanna give one of those two a try for real this season

Beginning_Bother_420

I played thorns, and I wouldn't again. Build is decent, but it's so unsatisfying and kinda boring to me. Not my style, but cannot talk for others.

apedoesnotkillape

Squirrels was so much fun. I didn't really have it optimized but I enjoyed running through monos with it. I know a lot of people find it annoying but personally the squeaking was great too

PwnzDeLeon

Those were my exact choices too, I went Squirrel. Wolves into CookBook’s Scorpion build until I get the helm to move to squirrels!

B1aze_

I chose spellblase but have no idea what to build into, any good builds out there?

Elbjornbjorn

Shattering strike is a safe choice.  I usually go with some sort of surge build though, it's very satisfying to zip through stuff. You can even turn it into a proc build. This cycle I'm trying a manastrike build that procs frostclaw on melee hit, which in turn procs elemental nova and barrage. No idea how it'll turn out but it should be fun at least:)

Simpuff1

Im going for autobomber this time around I think. So for now im levelling as a Rive VK, but will transition within the next 10 levels. It offers a quite simple game plan and decently fast paced gameplay, which is what I need for the 2-3 weeks before PoE launches (and its similar to BV so I won’t be tempted to play that in PoE lol)

Melanholic7

Are you following guide or..? I like automombers so im interested now :D VK is void knight right?

Simpuff1

Yeah I think the guide exists on Maxroll or by someone called Bearman21? Anyways I’m going with feeling for now but to min max I’ll use

Melanholic7

Thx for the info

cat666

Lich but not sure on build yet.

Beginning_Bother_420

What you have on watchlist? I wanna go combustion, but not 100% sure yet

kubicka

Class wheel choosed Marksman so I am trying to build something with it. Actually using the first skill and trying to figure out which way to go. Probably something with bleed or poison as it seems it's theme for Marksman

AJirawatP

Forge guard with warpath to summon forged weapons. It sounds so whack but it’s going pretty smoothly tbh.

azuraith4

Not whack, it's pretty standard since the synergy there is quite obvious. But it was so insanely weak last cycle no one bothered to push it. I felt it fall off before even finishing the campaign. But I think forgeguard is probably decent now.

MaximeCaulfield

I pushed corruption with warpath/forged weapons. Was it strong? Nope. Did I have fun? Yes.

peta_pipa

Just got to act 5 playing forge guard for the first time, running warpath, forge strike, battle standard javelin, and manifest armor right now. Started super slow but now it’s snowballing and feeling really good. Absolute dopamine hit dropping a big ass anvil on a group of mobs. Having some mana issues but that’s tomorrows problem

CloulDs

Its pretty decente now, the Forged weapons Stay longer and there is alão more noodes for scaling damage. The single target os pretty good as well

Overcast206

Falconer. Never played it last cycle. Seeing if I like it this time.

GiSS88

Same here. So far it's ok, but I played Hammerdin last cycle which was super cohesive. I'm finding this less so, but I may just need to recheck skill trees and such.

Passive19

Trying to make my own version of a Void Hammer Aura build with smite in there aswell for void dmg and possibly build into stacking time rot with that 3 piece set. See how far i can push it before i need to refer to a build guide to sort of straighten up some rough edges.

RamenArchon

Frostbite-based avalanche Shaman. With cold converted upheaval on large boulders node. Non channeling version with gathering storm for mana.

just_other_human_123

Trying sorcerer glacier bield

InTheYear20XX

Falconer - Channeled Flurry with Spear, have the Falcon dropping Acid Flasks for debuffs and more poison chance. Only level 20, but it's been pretty fun. Can easily sustain mana with the channeling changes so far. Doubtful it'll hold up well into corruption though. Will try something meta once I run into a wall.

AlarisMystique

Dancer, Paladin, and Marksmanship. Details will depend on what skills I enjoy.

Bandit997

Currently running glacier. Saw it got buffed so making my own build around it. Trying to decide it 2nd explosion or 3rd is better to spec into and am having a great time.

salbris

Playing same build as you! Still waiting for a life changing unique to drop but it's fun!

Tylerbrave

Going for swarmblade with the boss change and new spear

cadadoos2

I went for a bleed warlock I'm on empowerd monolith and him having a blast didn't play warlock last cycle because it looked just too strong... It still is ahah

Shonkjr

ATM whatever seems fun runemaster, Im leaning towards fire/ice skills but I do kinda want to just go full send into the tri element stuff

armin514

mage sorcerer glacier

Release_Similar

Forged weapons warpath was decent last cycle, definitely far stronger this cycle, loving my start so far

jacob2815

Playing Sorcerer right now. I love elemental magic, so it’s a natural fit. I got to monoliths as a hybrid summoner/ghostflame Warlock at 1.0 launch before I moved on. Tried a Shaman up to about level 6 today, I love nature magic and shapeshifting but honestly something about the Shaman just didn’t vibe with me. I don’t like Totems at all. I was thinking about doing either summoner or Druid, but decided to try Sorcerer for a bit before I settled. It felt so good to play, I was level 15 before I realized. Don’t think I’ll go back… maybe I’ll try Shaman again for 1.2 lmao.

Drjfeelgood

Beast master using scorpion pet and serpent strike. The new unique spear based around serpent strike seems interesting to be and I’ll be target farming that eventually.

AnomalousSavage

Regicide void beam erasing strike void knight

Mrdownvote219

Im playing a shamen. Using tempest strike. I took the passives to remove all the spells from it and just swing very fast with my bonk stick

StatementNegative345

Scorpion Poison Beastmaster and looking for a warlock build to start until I get a stygian coal and can be laser warlock

kryniu113

Currently Forge Strike, later swap to Shield Bash once I get the new Shieldaxe But I have to say, the evade feels so GOOD in combat, at least for melee It's also my first time playing LE with controller. I'm surprised how good it is

Slapfunk44

I’m playing a Forge Knight using the Maxroll guides to level. Playing HCSSF again this time around so I’ll probably just go the shield build for endgame. It’s been really fun leveling with weapon minions. I feel powerful

azureal

I’ll make another machine gun archer with hail of arrows, I liked my offline build a lot, don’t really play ladders much, but will give it a try!

neunzehnhundert

May go Shadowdagger Falconer again or try out Torment Warlock

Narzhur325

Is there any skeleton build ?

15SecNut

im blindly going into necromancer in hopes of making one

kutira

Frost claw sorc

Limp_Manufacturer_65

bleed forge guard but weapons master passive is bugged so I don't get the 75% bleed so I switched to ignite and hopefully by the time I find maehlins it's fixed

DefinitelyNotATheist

forge strike / smelters wrath str stack forge guard. huge crits and pen on guaranteed crits on smelters wrath. working on farming the suntouched(? i think) set for scaling.

Kiaosiy

Shatterstrike Spellblade. I’m running some cool unique scepter and a sword, and I’m murdering shit. Ran through last campaign boss like butter, ward still good. Not sure how it’s gonna go lv 80+ monos, but so far so good! I’m really enjoying it.

Juiced_Draugurr

I'm playing an Ignite Paladin. Revisiting an old fun build to see just how is fares these days.

XR-17

Manifest armor FG. I'm just 50, but is really fun seeing the armor dash and spin enemies to death off screen

Lvl99Chocobo

Druid Army. 12 vines, 9 totems, 15 locusts and a Spriggan, Scorpion and Primal Snake wreaking havoc. Spriggan/Swarmblade hybrid. Currently leveling through normal monoliths, but so far it's much smoother than most other builds I've leveled so I'm curious how it'll do in Empowered.

MrTopHatMan90

Blade Dancer because I desire speed. Compared to 1.0 werebesr druid its so much faster

Morningstar_Audio

Mana Strike Spellblade, best build i have tried since, for me that is

zazzazin

Gonna go rive void knight, some why void just calls to me.

Canadian-Owlz

Golem necromancer

ZoneAssaulter

Made a void knight, leveling with warpath gonna become a mana stacker erasing striker with the new axe later on. Warpath is so smooth to level with right now! Great change to channeling skills!

deepsky88

Firenado warpath

Biflosaurus

Currently leveling a forge guard to play shield bash once I get the new unique

kenm130

Playing a Shaman totem build. Totems feel so good! I may end up trying avalanche once I do what I want with this build. I have a weakness for area based storm skills. :p

Vegetable_Word603

Mana sticking meteorite sorc.

sk1dmarkz83

Heh, just watched Allies vid on this one. Looks like a good time 😌 Think I'ma try it too

zunamie2

Tried Lightning blast->frostclaw Sorc last season Bleed warlock this season. Might try a melee build after

Demoted_Redux

Void Warpath

jigglefrizz

Manifest armor paladin. Actually really good so far (still in the campaign). Plan to get the whirlwind spin cooldown to 1sec for constant use.

Huge-Environment-896

Playing a dw rive/smite pally with the new swords. Leveling from scratch. Feels really good right now

bierzuk

Went for fire Minion Necro and for now having a blast but I'm lvl44

AynixII

Shield Bash Forge Guard. My 1.0 character was quite squishy so trying something tanky now.

KingZantair

Lich Lich Lich, all day every day, and likely for each cycle. I just love reaper form that much.

Neurochazm

My standard Cycle starter, Echo Warpath Voidknight. It's really easy to gear up & I use it to farm build defining items for my other favourite builds.

DiligentIndustry6461

Forgeguard and still on the levelling build right now at 65. Fire strike, void cleave, multi strike, healing hands, manifest armor. The build is slapping right now, just finished 3rd or 4th regular monolith last night. I’ll be transitioning to one of the shield builds when I get the axe shield unique! Damage is slow to start, but once my weapon minions get going it does good damage and super tanky Not sure if it’s the mastery I’ll stay with yet, but I liked levelling last cycle and had atleast 10 masteries levelled to empowered mono’s

PrismaSigma_SFW

Avalanche Shaman feels like cheating. I have yet to see anything other than an act boss survive more than 1.5 seconds. Exiled Mages and Nemesis bosses get shredded almost instantly. By the time Majasa finished healing in phase 2, she already had to go heal again. Before I got to Avalanche I was using Maelstrom. At the time I allocated Avalance my Maelstrom dps tooltip was ~100 dps per stack (could maintain 15 stacks in theory so let's say 1500 dps). Avalanche's tooltip dps started at 20k when I first got it, before I even allocated any points into it. I'm not even spec'ed properly for Avalanche to do upfront damage. My plan was to use the coldstone elemental minions with frostbite, but the Avalanche rocks hit so hard that the minions have nothing left to do.

ArmaMalum

Forge Guard Forged Weapons. My first build in LE and I still love it. Coming back to it now that there's been a few noticeable FG changes.

Adintoryisabiiiit

Me names Veekay Worpaff, holder of RMB.

Ph4nt0mRa33it

Playing Beast Master wolves. There is a new dagger that let's you have Raptors instead so trying to work towards finding that. ST is great atm in trash gear, clear could be a little faster. Pretty solid so far.

thelaughingmagician-

Sorc meteor using allie's guide. Glacier felt better before the swap to meteor but it's fine, just takes a little getting used to (guide does warn about this). Imma go sleep and hit monos tomorrow, see how it goes

AlexTheGiant21

I felt the exact same way. Really contemplating going back to Glacier. How do you feel about it now?

thelaughingmagician-

Might be worth going back idk. For me, it was kinda annoying until \~lvl 55 or so, I think at that point I had archmage node and other mana stuff. It didn't work well for leveling because even if you time well using meteor + focus when negative mana, you still have to wait around for cooldowns, and still use mana strike. Maybe I needed more mana on gear. Also even if you cast 1-2 meteors in a pack, as the guide says, you still miss a lot until you have more skill points in meteor (number of meteors and fall frequency). And it's terrible on bosses waiting for the focus cooldown. At the point where I'm at, fully respecced all skills, no more mana strike, boss killing feels good with arcane ascendance, unfortunately though my fps drops now.

hardolaf

I'm doing a scuffed 360 no scope disintegrate build that I'm throwing together on the fly because 480% added damage efficiency is bonkers.

Socrathustra

Is the added damage per second or per tick?

hardolaf

Like everything else, it's per damage tick of the channeled spell.

Socrathustra

I wasn't sure how damage effectiveness worked with channeled spells. That's pretty bonkers. I was considering disintegrate this season and am probably sold now.

hardolaf

Let's put my experience with it like this. I was having a great time chatting with a friend and leveling. Then I unlocked disintegrate and I decided to check it out. The tooltip said 1,200 dps. My other skills were 250 dps. I started using it unspecialized and it deleted everything. It's still deleting everything but I need to solve mana sustain now that I'm in monos doing double beams.

Socrathustra

I really enjoy builds that reward finding ways to recoup tons of mana. Fire wraiths had my mana bar going from the multiple hundreds of negatives to full in moments. In PoE I played a niche build I made with stormbind and beat all the content at the time by maximizing mana regen. This should be fun once I get back to the game.

Rageinjector

Glacier Sorc till I get bored then a homebrew full lightning conversion BBC BD
