A few things
1; The guy who lost his leg is not the same person who called for rape. Being the son of a POS doesn't mean he deserves what *should* happen to the POS.
2; *HOWEVER* the guy who lost his leg(s) IS also a piece of shit. He is an IOF soldier who was committing genocide in Gaza so I hope his thoracic aorta bursts and his testes get twisted inside his ballsack. Karma got his ass.
3; This article is confusing. The image shows aan with two legs gone but refers to leg singular. Which is it?
4; Why did it say the rabbi issued a fatwa? Fatwa is an Islamic concept. Is the article fake/dishonest reporting?
Thanks for this. I hate when people on reddit post twitter screenshots as if it's actual journalism.
Twitter screenshots are almost always disinformation trying to rile up partisanship.
i think the article was either fake or taken down.

I found one other source, but it's from Russian imperialists who are not pro-Palestine as in for the freedom of the Palestine people, but Anti-Israel because of fucking geopolitical campism: https://pravda-en.com/world/2024/01/02/247341.html
Fatwa is Arabic for what in Judaism is called a heter or special allowance to do something. Jewish religious law actually permits rape of enemies in warfare: https://www.sefaria.org/Mishneh_Torah%2C_Kings_and_Wars.8.1?lang=bi
>"son of Rabbi Yaakov Madin, who issued a ***fatwa*****"**
A Fatwa? How did a Jewish Rabbi issue a fatwa? Anyone else seeing something effy with how this article is written?
Yeah....made me check.
There is a soldier (son of a rabbi) that lost his leg...bit don't see the rabbi permission to SA.
Not sure if it was a different rabbi...
https://www.theyeshivaworld.com/news/israel-news/2250606/after-53-days-ravs-son-critically-injured-in-gaza-released-for-rehab-video.html
After looking up the names it seems the IDF rabbi who issued the fatwa isn't this guy's father. The article seems to have confused them. The infamous raping non-jewish women fatwa does in fact exist however.
Yes. Remember seeing that decree...but think this guy's father is a different one..don't want people to promote an error...because the reaction would be that all of that is fake.
That a rabbi issued such a decree , should be well known and condemned, hopefully.
Also..not sure why the person confused the situation by calling it a fatwa..seems odd choice.
>Also..not sure why the person confused the situation by calling it a fatwa..seems odd choice.
My guess is he's doing it because "fatwa" gained a negative emotive connotation in Anglo spaces. Dude's using islamophobic fears against Zionism lmao.
That's the uncharitable take, the charitable one is perhaps fatwa just gained a religiously neutral, albeit negative, meaning and perhaps the Jewish equivalent for it isn't as commonly understood.
Haha. Makes sense. My initial uncharitable take was this might be some hasbara pushing a bit of misinformation, mixed with real information so that it could be easily debunked and have people question lot of similar stories
It is one of the ways to delegitinize useful avenues...a deliberate tactic to plant disinformation to muddy the water and then claim everything is unreliable.
I wonder if the term just took a more religiously neutral meaning after being used so much in English. After all, Fatwa just means a ruling by a recognized religious authority.
I admit I have no idea what a Jewish fatwa is called, and if it does it's not a widespread term, but it clearly exists as that rabbi declared it permissible to rape Palestinian women.
>I've never seen 'Fatwa' used simply as a term for a religious ruling by a recognized authority.
I suppose that's because you're not in a Muslim majoirty country. It does have a much more "neutral" meaning here. A "mufti" for example is literally just the recognized religious authority to give rulings. No terrorism connotation involved. 99% of what they say is harmless, the last 1% ends on MEMRI haha.
I don't think it's racism against Arabs or Islamophobia in this context. I'm an Arab myself and I was raised Muslim. From where I'm standing it sounds to me like the author wanted to "weaponize" or redirect Islamophic sentiment against zionists, in a "look this is a violent religious extremist too" kind of way.
He's the IDF chief rabbi. He didn't declare this "fatwa" this war but *a few Gaza wars ago*, since he's the chief rabbi people brought up he literally said it's [permissible to rape non-Jewish women during war](https://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-4827240,00.html).
>Karim replied that, as part of maintaining fitness for the army and the soldiers' morale during fighting, it is permitted to "breach" the walls of modesty and "satisfy the evil inclination by lying with attractive Gentile women against their will, out of consideration for the difficulties faced by the soldiers and for overall success.
edit: after rechecking the names it seems the IDF rabbi who issued the fatwa isn't this guy's father. The article seems to have confused them.
Wait this is the adult son of a bastard who said Palestinian women should be raped, right? So the guy who lost his legs didn't say this?
Only religion punishes someone for the transgressions of their parents.
Glad to see someone say this. It shouldn't be framed as "guy related to asshole", he should deserve punishment for the things he actually did. Like killing and oppressing people in Gaza.
Weird and dishonest to frame it this way.
I mean he was in the IDF. So it's likely the loss of his legs was unrelated to his fathers comments.
Except in the broader cultural sense of his father pushing the sort of propaganda that led to him being involved in this conflict.
It looks like a guy by this name was wounded...and amputated...but can't find a link to the father's permission to SA .

Hope folks don't take it the wrong way, yeah its ironic but we shouldn't be wishing or celebrating harm upon others no matter what they've done or said. Thanks for that bit of news/info though

ah I see, I wonder if the journalist got confused,,, not good journalism but understandable
I mean, by the logic of all religions involved, the deity being worshiped absolutely would do #1 and say that that’s a just punishment for the parent.
It’s a very biblical form of karmic justice.
The rabbi next but his head
Nah, he deserves to lose something he's been using.
I know this isn't laugh worthy. But you gotta admit this is some celestial justice kinda shit.. 😂😂
It's God saying: "You didn't understand anything, your dumbass".
One leg lost or two legs lost? Weird headline.
>"son of Rabbi Yaakov Madin, who issued a ***fatwa*****"** A Fatwa? How did a Jewish Rabbi issue a fatwa? Anyone else seeing something effy with how this article is written?
Was wondering that as well.
Its a karma account. Its got the typical bot username, and only posts in political subs

A rabbi issued a...fatwa? I've googled the name and have not found any sourcing for this alleged "fatwa," so a source would be nice.
He's the IDF chief rabbi. Wait this is the adult son of a bastard who said Palestinian women should be raped, right? So the guy who lost his legs didn't say this? Only religion punishes someone for the transgressions of their parents.
The dude who lost his legs was literally in Gaza aiding in genocide
"literally" you keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
He was in an Army unit attacking Gaza so yes he did something to deserve it.
Glad to see someone say this. It shouldn't be framed as "guy related to asshole", he should deserve punishment for the things he actually did. Like killing and oppressing people in Gaza. Weird and dishonest to frame it this way.
the guy who lost his leg is an IOF soldier. if he wasn't I wouldn't support him suffering but he's just as if not more guilty than his father
The dude is literally partaking in a genocide id say he’s pretty deserving of this
I literally said as much in my comment.
Every person on this comment chain celebrating violence is a loser.
The guy who didn't say it participated in the massacre happening in Gaza. He literally lost it there at the hands of Al-Qassam.
I mean he was in the IDF. So it's likely the loss of his legs was unrelated to his fathers comments. Except in the broader cultural sense of his father pushing the sort of propaganda that led to him being involved in this conflict.
Dude, he was in Gaza likely trying to murder Palestinians. It's a far cry from he didn't deserve it..
i interpreted it as 'this guy- who is the son of a rabbi- called for the rape of Palestinian women and got his legs blown off' but you may be right
>only religion I mean, everyone involved in this believes in a version of Yahweh. It completely fits their own worldview.
Judaism says the sins of the fathers are visited upon the children. Read the 10 Commandments.
Do you think he was in Gaza distributing flowers and baklava to Gazans or what?
This seems like fake news. Fatwas aren't a thing in Judaism.
Karma exists lmfao
We are on Reddit after all.
Too bad he didn't lose the thing between his legs too for thinking rape is ok
If he thinks that he never had any.
he wasn't the one calling for rape but he was killing people in Gaza so I hope he loses his vital organs
It’s unclear if the guy that lost his legs thought that from this. It looks like he’s just the son.
Ah shit you're right, my bad
This seems fake as hell. First of all the article can't even decide whether the dude has one leg or two.
I mean y'know. He could've received worse treatment.
Yeah. A child could have shown him candy then closed the bag. You know, pure evil.
Hope he’s donating his shoes. Fucker won’t be needing them anymore.
It looks like a guy by this name was wounded...and amputated...but can't find a link to the father's permission to SA . https://www.theyeshivaworld.com/news/israel-news/2250606/after-53-days-ravs-son-critically-injured-in-gaza-released-for-rehab-video.html
I can't even find anything actually about this jakov madin.
well, his legs are already in hell
well said!
Lol
Loses *legs?* Or was he already one leg short before the incident?
No sympathy fir these colonial as******.
So many unnecessary deaths and lifelong trauma from both sides. For what? To take land that doesn’t even belong to Israel #freepalestine
ha
There are fatwas in Judaism?
Sorry, a rabbi issued a fatwa?
Sucks to suck.
Nelson voice: HA HA
Hope they cut off his dick and balls and it just his legs
Karma is a b***h, ain't it
Thoughts and prayers!
Looks like he lost both legs.
I hope his dad take an rpg to the head
Maybe there is a god after all?
Good
That's one leg!!... I mean two legs up for his cause!
Hope folks don't take it the wrong way, yeah its ironic but we shouldn't be wishing or celebrating harm upon others no matter what they've done or said. Thanks for that bit of news/info though
The amount of people directly calling for violence in this sub is reprehensible.
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes
