I recently finished a commission for a dragon scale bifold with royal blue edges and a purple center. It looked completely different in my dark work room but when I took it outside for pictures, the colors really popped.
Pretty happy with my new Ritza Tiger Thread so far. I forgot to take pictures of the inside but the pockets are sewn with blue thread instead of purple.
Blue and purple always turn out warmer and darker than I intend them to be. I can get even coverage fine, just nothing that vibrant. Does your raw leather come a bit russet toned or do you have something that starts closer to white?
It might be because I dilute my dyes. They come out to strong out of the bottle. I also try to dye my pieces while damp and don't soak them in dye. I've used both shades of leather and it hasn't made a particular difference. I just have to remember that oiling it afterwards will darken it.

Looks great, anything you are willing to share about your dye process? I've always had difficulty with cooler colors.
Thank you. What do you mean? Like uneven dying?

Thank you

Thank you!
Oooh! I love the colors!
Thank you! They really popped in sunlight.
I have a couple of variations of that stamp, I love it. Good looking results even in the hands of a clutz like me.
Thats a sick wallet. I must be the only one who hates the color though lol. Id love to see that antiqued
