So he talked about this in a semi recent interview, one of the ones for his picture book I believe. I saw it on YouTube but I don't have the link, sorry. It's hilarious though, if you can find it.
He said that a friend told him that his wife had made him a sweater and he was like, "How lovely, I'll wear it to our next gig." And then he actually got the sweater and saw how small it was but, he said, he'd made a promise, damnit, so he wore it anyway.
That's the adorable story he told anyway but I can't help but wonder if he foxed it up because he didn't just wear that jumper to a show, he wore it to a legit photo shoot.
For the record, I effing love that jumper and all of their unhinged fashion choices. 🍋🌭
