I think there’s little chance of that happening, he’s not quick enough and all he’s got is potential, he’s not at our level right now.
Most people just assume he was the best centre back in the league at Millwall when he really wasn’t.
Championship is his ceiling imo, I’d take £2m and wish him the best.
Same. Leif Davis, Cody Drameh, Sam Greenwood... They all have something in them and have ability to play at this level but just can't seem to do it here. Perhaps, all they need is a change of scenery.
Davis the only one there who’s gonna get consistent Premier League minutes at any point in their career.
We have a really bad habit of drastically overrating our youngsters lol.
We have Championship players already, if they wanna stay and get cameos every now then I’ll accept the depth but we’re not gonna regret selling any of them.
Farke doesn't seem to rate him. I'm genuinely wondering why he called this move off. We get a handsome fee, Charlie gets to compete for the starting role at France, its a win-win. Hopefully, there's another club lined up to buy him for the same fee or higher.
JimbobTML is a weapon who cannot engage in a normal conversation, or accept criticism.
He asked his agent whether he should wait for a better deal and he said "what have you got Toulouse?"
Apparently he was on his way there but crashed straight into French border guards
Probably told him that he'd be loaned back to Millwall after the deal was done.
Shame, doubt we will get that kind of money from anyone else for him
Shocked to discover that they speak French?
He better find another club quick cos with Rodon coming back and Pascal fit, he isn’t getting a look in this time if he didn’t last season.
Maybe he saw that first round election result and was like nah don't fancy living in a fascist state actually
Because you know exactly what life in France is like don't you mate. Take the politics elsewhere.
I took the OPs comment as a joke. But France is literally voting in a far-right party as we speak.
Full of right wing fascist voters?
No different to his season on-loan wt Millwall though to be fair.

Must not like boiled offal
Or horse meat lasagne.
I get the feeling he's going to be another Leif Davis

When I said this level, I meant Championship, which is the league we're in.

Cresswell is slow as hell. You need some slight speed as a CB these days. Its realistically never gunna work for him here.
Pretty much every team that beat us last season had a slow-arse CB pairing though.
Farke doesn't seem to rate him. I'm genuinely wondering why he called this move off. We get a handsome fee, Charlie gets to compete for the starting role at France, its a win-win. Hopefully, there's another club lined up to buy him for the same fee or higher.
Last time he came on he didn't impress and gave away two dangerous free kicks when we were protecting a lead. Think that was "seen enough" for Farke.
We have certain players who fail to impress most weeks yet they’re still playing regularly with no signs of leaving
Who are you thinking of?
One’s in goal, one plays the tiny violin…
Tough for them Toulouse a promising transfer
absolute shambles this club. Here we were thinking the 49ers would actually be better than the previous clueless people
Reads that the move fell apart from Cresswell’s side. Not the 49ers/ or the other club.
why are we selling all good youngsters?
He's not very good? At least he hasn't shown it.
If our season relied on Charlie Cresswell we wouldn’t be doing very well anyway.
You do know we are in the championship, right?
If he’s good, why have multiple managers not played him even when we have been short at the back? For his own career he needs to leave.
All? We are selling one. Cresswell didn’t play last season. He’s had ten senior appearances for us in 4 years in the first team.
Looks like he didn’t want to have to take le trek… I’ll see myself out.
You’re oui out of order with that comment.
