If you mean fietstassen, i would recommend never leaving anything in them wherever, not just Leiden Centraal. Chances of something being taken are quite high.

i know of people who's bikes have been stolen out of the bike parking under the taxis. definitely don't leave anything of value in the bags

Thanks for the warning.  I do want to add that in all my 8 years of living here and regularly using the parking garage on the city centre side of the station I've only had one rubber bike lamp stolen. Always take with you what you cannot afford to have stolen but do not panic if you've forgotten to do so, you'll probably be fine.  I agree that it's good to make a habit of always emptying your bike bags and taking more expensive accessoires on your bike with you when you park it.

I've had my bags stolen in the past. Leaving anything *in* the bags is not advisable anyway, but thieves will also just take your bags 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yeah, I had that happen to me just a couple of weeks ago. They were only 'extra' secured with a couple of tie-wraps but they simply cut them off.

Last week my friend left his bike at Leiden Centraal, came back and someone had put fietstassen on his bike. They were apparently mouldy inside, but free bags are free bags!

Omg my bike bag was stolen there just last week!😱
