Kind of, the first movie was entertaining enough, and the second was fine if very similar.
Honestly I can’t really suspend my disbelief with the monsters anymore, there’s too many questions raised by their hypersensitivity to sound. And besides, I highly doubt a bunch of monsters would be able to fight the US Army, invulnerability to small arms fire or not.
Besides we know the military has high frequency sound based weapons, nobody thought to try that before?
This movie/franchise is my go to example of me not being able to suspend disbelief. It's played way, waaaaaay too straight for me to not have infinite questions. If this was a goofy horror flick I wouldn't care, but it thinks it's a film that matters. It doesn't.
I've enjoyed the previous two films, but given that reviews for this one are embargoed until the day before release, I am inclined to say that it'll be a disappointment
I loved the first one. The second one almost killed me with boredom. Not even Cillian Murphy could make that movie interesting. I really couldn't be more apathetic about the third one.
the whole point of this subreddit is to share your experiences with film. just cause it makes you angry they skipped over parts of a movie you liked doesn’t mean it’s not a valid point of conversation
Ehhhh, liked Pig but going a somber movie to a big blockbuster horror gives me the worries and with everything in this franchise being released, it's just too much for a simplistic concept
Interested more than excited. I'm a sucker for seeing world-ending shit go down so I'll definitely watch it, but I'll wait for streaming rather than rush to the cinema for it.
Yes, but I’m nervous too, one of the main reasons I loved the first two is the strong emotional core, this one is gonna have its work cut out for it trying to match that, but the trailers look good so I’m hopeful

A quiet place did not warrant it's own cinematic universe.
It barely warranted the first movie.

No.
Nope
Wrong movie
I just don’t understand why we need a prequel 🤷🏼♀️
I'll watch it when it hits the streaming services.
This is always the answer for me
Not really but will watch for sure, looks OK.
nah
There hasn’t been a good one yet, so nah. Loved Sarnoski’s first movie so if it gets good reviews will probably eventually check it out on that basis.

Yes, the firts two are amazing and Michael Sarnoski did a great job in "Pig", i'm excited!
I didn't care for the original so not really.
Could not care less. Truly don't give a flying fuck about this franchise in any capacity.
This trailer has been torturing me every time I go to the theater for months. So, I am just excited for it to be out to stop seeing the damn thing.
I think the sequel is pretty good but not great and I'm not a big fan, so I'm not very excited about this one too.
my finger is still sore from fast forwarding through most of the sequel
Who gives a shit?

I loved the first two movies, but this one doesn't excite me. I might see it in the theatre, but there's a better chance I won't.
Am I excited? No. Do I care that it’s being made? No. Will I watch it for free one day this year after it’s on streaming? Yeah, probably.
I feel so sorry for whoever had to design the posters for this movie. Clearly nothing was working in their favor lmao

No. Loved the first movie, didn’t like the second one, and I don’t like the main actress in this one either
That is weird. You have a right to your opinion but Nyong'o is a very talented actress.
First one was okay. Second one was dogshit. Not seeing this one.
No. Will the next one just take place even farther before, and it's just a slice of life movie with no monsters?
I imagine it will be an extension of the start of Part 2 but probably in a different city.
as long as it keeps making a couple percent net profit for the studio and investors
