Maybe a hot take but none of the episodes this year stand out as “worst ever” material. January’s 2 shows were not exceptional but even Elordi had one sketch that people thought was decent-to-good (bowling). Dakota Johnson had two that were pretty popular (Maury parody and PDD Roast).
The season hasn’t had a lot of standouts but people were also quite negative about the first third of S48 before it picked up. Season 49 took longer-than-average to find its footing but the good ones (Brolin, Wiig, Gosling) have been strong and the others (Sweeney, Youssef) have been at least serviceable.

In the minority but I'm not thrilled for the Maya Rudolph show. Her last hosting gig wasn't particularly great and I feel we saw her quite a bit as Kamala during election season in 2020. If the spot was going to an alum, I would have preferred maybe Amy or Bobby.
